Their support takes 5+ days to respond…
Their support takes 5+ days to respond and when they do, they do not read the original email and respond with canned messages that doesn't answer your question.
The platform also doesnt function as advertised. For filling returns, it works somewhat, but for amending returns, there is no section for anything to do with living abroad or form 1116 that is needed. They tell you to "fill it out" when the screenshots provided clearly shows it has been - and there is no point of submitting an amendment without form 1116 for expats and there is no way to add it.
Now they are ignoring my refund requests and responding with automated messages that do not help.
I am now forced to request refund through paypal and reporting them multiple times to the IRS.

I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience. You can file amendments with MyExpatTaxe, but you need to fill out the Amendments section, as our team advised.

As always, the site is clear & easy
Communication with MyExpatTaxes now takes longer to get feedback and any general question leads to an option to pay a supplement (sometimes expensive) to get an answer. Which is so different than how it was before- I suppose the company has grown and this helps make a profit. I preferred feeling like the online help was part of the package and not a way to sell an additional package.
