Lost both my parents in 2023 and it's been very distressing for me trying to get answers concerning their house insurance as I am Executrix of their estate. Had to get family lawyer involved at one point and Vero said everything all sorted and that nothing was owing. Lo and behold letters telling me I missed a payment when I hadn't. Then I was told payments missing since March, again. Which was incorrect. I keep ringing and emailing and it's been an absolute nightmare. Just an awful experience at a very stressful time for our family having lost both Mum and Dad. I cannot put a specific date as this is still ongoing so I put in today's date as this is still unresolved

Something happened with Vero after 2020 and they have become the worst to deal with! You have noone else but the operator to talk to! Nobody answers your e-mails or calls. Nownthat we have all the written evidence, we are going to go through Ombudsman on Monday. Stay asay from this company!

I insured my car, boat and trailer and house with Vero.
I made a claim on my boat and it has been over a year of bumping me off. People leaving and passing the buck.
I would not recommend this insurance company at all.

Worst insurance one would have no transparency and no customer service

Pathetic!.. my father passed away & i inherited his vintage car but when i called to cancel insurance under his name & insure in my name i was told policy can't be canceled until i have lawyer send info... didn't need to do this when changing registration into my name & the old policy is about to expire & you don't have dd authority so what are you going to do when payment for renewal isn't received?? Considering the circumstances you could have been more compassionate! I am totally unimpressed & disgusted with the way i was treated & will NEVER use or recommend vero!! The car is now fully insured with a far more compassionate & caring insurer & vero can get effed!!!

Hands down the worst possible website to apply for an apartment building. It looks pretty but it's completely non-functional. There are tens of errors in the browser console. The first response from support is "reset your cache" and it never works. Support always says "building cancelled the lease request". The building is confused. I am confused. It took us 3 days to apply when they claim they make things faster. This is what happens when VCs back ideas with teams that have 0 execution prowess. I'm livid and annoyed - not how you want to feel when you're finding a new home.

Utterly incompetent insurers, in 12 years I have had one single claim - and Vero attempted to absolve themselves of all liability in that instance (motor vehicle rolled into a parking machine while unattended - no mechanical fault) & Vero tried to make me pay the $5600 for the parking machine (apparently you are not insured if there is an accident with your motor vehicle and you are not driving it). A threat to have the insurance ombudsman review the claim made that magically disappear. Fast forward to 2021, for the last 3 years Vero has sent my insurance policy , that I pay for, addressed to an ex partner (who has never lived at the same address) and 3 years in a row I have phoned them to have it corrected (the cannot seem to do that). But the icing on the cake is the 63% premium increase on my policy (never made a claim) without explanation. The premium for my house insurance with Vero is now almost a deposit on a house annually or the price of a good second hand car! Not getting another cent from me. Shop around and do not insure with Vero, they are rip off agents.

We had a flood. Vero was the insurer. They hire Morgan Project Services (MPS) to fix.

MPS fix it halfway, then abandon it for more than 4 months until I contacted them. Then they continue to partially finish it until one last item which they claimed it is fixed, but it is not. Vero Closed the claim.

More than 1 year later, the issue is left untouched. Vero reopen claim, few email exchanges, issue still not solve. Insurance left us hanging "wait until you hear from us".

Either MPS claimed job done, cashed out, refuse to fix, or Vero is just useless at what they are supposed to do.

Awful - VERO was unresponsive and aggravating.. Between all the communications, I was increasingly unsure as to whether the VERO emails I was reading were from a human being or a bot.
I was told that a decision on my rental application would occur in 1-5 days. 2 weeks later I was angry.
I kept wishing I could talk to someone that was offered only after I was at wit’s end. By the time an apparent real person offered to call, I had no patience left and no confidence in the company’s ability, nor its motivation to help this increasingly angry customer.

What a waste of time. What an emotional let down and yell-out-loud level of frustration.

Had to call countless times to followup. They never give meaningful response. It has been 1 and a half months, I got told my claim would be paid by their external adjuster but still not. Never trust. If your valuable is not insured with them, lucky you and stay away from them. If you're with them, move out asap!

Had the unfortunate experience of having these guys insure us as recommended by Smart leasing for our car. Wouldn’t recover the vehicle to a safe place, they didn’t care if we had water, shade, we’re miles from anywhere…..Really poor service and even less caring about your health or recovery if you’re stranded miles from anywhere. They’ve spent most of the time trying to get out of paying, despite the car being unable to be driven…wanted us to pay out and we ‘may’ get it back. Really poor, would never use them ever again, if they were the only insurance company available on the planet.

I am lodging a complaint against VERO insurance in regards to the handling of our claim for the flood and cyclone damage at our family home.

The first damage that happened was during the flood where the bottom flat was damaged by flood waters and the paint in the ceiling of the lounge and the small room upstairs had water damage to it.

Since we were away during the time of the flood, the room downstairs had a lot of mould formed and alot begun to be airborne.

Vero organised Drychem to scope the job which they did after a week but nevershowed up again. I had to arrange someone to remove the mould and the damage items at my own cost as we had a 12month old baby.

Morgan projects came and took all the photos but they only reimbursed for the damage in the bottom floor and not the ceiling damages.

The second damage happened during Cyclone Gabriel where multiple glass of the garage door and a single glass of the back door cracked with the door jamb being damaged as well.

I got a call from Paul from Morgan Projects that they not willing to cover for any damages which is just appalling.

I am going to the media with this case as i firmly believe i was hard done by the insurance company.

PLEASE STAY AWAY OF FROM VERO IN ANY FORM OF INSURANCE COVER.

We have been with Vero for 4 years we are in our sixties and have had no problems until we wanted to insure our mustang they totally shut us down refused to insure it because of the the make and model it’s a 2018 Mustang yet we sold our Ford FPV valued at $90,000 which was the same motor and they totally refused to insure it couldn’t understand why yet we have house and home contents and own a 2023 V6 Ford Raptor and we pay over the top for insurance I think they are dam right rude so we will never deal with them again they will never get another penny from us us we have never had a claim total rip offs.

Do not give these morons your number under any circumstances you block one number then they use a different have had 30 nuisance calls from these morons. Reported them to the police for constant harassment.

There is no way I can complain when they are able to give me better coverage and more options than my previous insurance company. Without a doubt, I confidently recommend this company 🙏
