A very smooth, fuss free, brisk process
If you want to get rid of an old car without any hassle then this is the way to do it. Once I set the ball rolling things happened without much real effort on my part at all.
There were a few wonky rough edges as to follow up emails and/or text message not quite recording accurately what I had said about the condition of the car, but the chap I actually dealt with on the phone noted everything correctly and in a conversation after I accepted their quote he read it all back just fine. So don't take too much notice of the text/email messages. Also, the car collection booking company sent me a text with a link to a collection day calendar booking webpage. Did that. Then they kept sending the same text message over and over, then phoned me ... seems my original booking slot hadn't registered on their system for some reason. Then they couldn't decide if they'd come some time between 7am-5pm, or 8am-5pm. So, yeah, there's some rough edges, but overall you just go with the flow and it works wonders. Obviously the price is a low, in our case for a car with more time I could have fixed and been good for many many more miles, but I wanted to get rid of it, it wasn't insured or taxed, and National Scrap Car just did the business without real hassle. Would use again if needed to. The other option is to get the car somehow to we buy any car, which if not fully roadworthy could be a nightmare, only for them to have you over barrel. Use National Scrap Car instead!

Great company, Ethan, the person I spoke to was so helpful. The estimate I got online was more than when I rang them so I would suggest calling. The whole process was so straightforward though and professional at all points.
