Claire is a fantastic science tutor who supported our daughter through her GCSEs and helped her to achieve fantastic results. I highly recommend Claire and National Tutors.

My daughter was in the position of not attending school regularly for almost 3 years. We contacted Claire when we were at an all time low with both the health service and the education system failing our daughter. We contacted the National tutors group soon after it started. The difference that it’s made to our daughter has been staggering. She is highly self focused, the network has given her direction and tools to study. There was the usual technical problems at the start but soon resolved. Next week our daughter starts her GCSEs with the knowledge and confidence to achieve her best possible grades in preparation for college. Claire was always available, extremely helpful and provided addition life skill seminars for the preparation for real life. I have no problem in recommending anyone to the group. For our daughter it’s given her the real possibility to achieve her full potential

I signed my daughter up in March 2026 after deregistering her from Year 7. She has additional needs and started to have panic attacks regarding attending school. Since being home educated she is calmer and relaxed, she seems to learn practically and the initial courses we signed her up for did not suit her needs, so she is now studying functional skills which appears to be better suited. Claire has been supported and the monthly check-ins have been helpful. So far we are happy with the support. As a parent I can attend the workshops/life skills sessions. We can ask questions and if my daughter has difficulty with any of the work she can always ask a question or ask for help and this is given. She works at her pace which is great. Currently we are working on her confidence, the support by National Tutors helps with this along with the lessons.

I contacted National Tutors last October as I had taken the decision to De-register my Son from Year 8.
I spoke to Claire about what they had to offer me in terms of My son continuing his learning and still following the curriculum, she was very helpful and gave me my options, while keeping the cost at something that is affordable.
My son has now been approved by Portsmouth City Council for 1 year. Claire even wrote a progress report for me to send into them, which helped a lot.

At 15 we decided to deregister my son from school . After numerous meetings with the head the senco and other teachers nothing was being done to help my son! He went from shouting about going to school refusing to go to being completely silent and refusing to go! Enough was enough and the day after we took him out we found national tutors. My son is a completely different child and loves the maths and English hes doing and logs on with no problems.

It is only the first week of my son starting but we have recieved a lot of support. My son has enjoyed the recorded lessons and the live mentoring sessions. So far this is proving to be a good alternative to attending mainstream school for a student that cannot cope in that environment. The range of courses is varied and enables students to work towards qualifications. Learn anywhere and good value for money. They even include lifeskills and coding for free when you buy a course.

You can choose the subjects your child needs and the content is at a high standard.
The team are so so supportive and really do make your child feel at ease giving them the confidence to access education, plus they do real good mentoring sessions, guide where to access resources and also as parent I found it so supportive too with sessions/discussions parents can join in and learn if elements of homeschooling and how to help your child one their journey. The program gives you a real sense of community. 10/10 review for us

After years of struggling with school based anxiety and non-attendance to school, I finally decided to take my daughter out of school to be educated at home. I had initially thought this would mean becoming her teacher which I am neither qualified or capable of doing! However, I found National Tutors online and discovered an affordable way for my child to access her education in her home environment where she is comfortable and feels safe. I made an enquiry and received a call from Claire within the hour. The rest is history! My daughter is now engaging with her core GCSE subjects and is happier than she’s been in a long term where it comes to anything “school” related. Her mental health is improving and she’s able to sleep again which was an issue before we deregistered her from school. The resources and support are excellent, and they guide you how to deal with the local authority and explain the law around home education which saves a lot of stress and worry. My only regret is that I didn’t do this when my daughter was in Year 8!

The tutours are excellent and so so helpfull and understanding and the learning platform is so easy and my daughter is thriving . I have never seen her more excited to do school work.

National Tutors was a great support in my time of need helping my daughter with her education.

I had a 1-2-1 real time phone conversation with Dr Claire. Firstly, it was so refreshing to speak to an experienced educator in person. Secondly, she made quick work with ease in terms of navigating me to resources within her network, which I have been seeking for months. As a medical doctor and recent convert to home educating, I found her to be very helpful and her network and resources well organised and well informed. Thank you and highly recommend having a conversation- there is nothing to lose, just to gain more clarity and information.

Claire was a brilliant help with my daughters GCSE tuition, she explained everything and worked with her to really develop her knowledge within the Sciences. I'm confident this will have helped her with GCSE exams.

Claire was a delight and so helpful with everything. My daughter did the maths and it was so easy to follow and if she got stuck she could rewind the video and listen again. Very good experience

Dr. Claire Wilsher is an excellent teacher, she made the content easy to understand and fun to learn. The website itself is great, I liked how the videos and assignments were structured. The only critique I have is that it can be a bit hard to navigate at first, especially because there’s no guides telling you how and where you can access what you need to if you’re confused. I think a quick tutorial on how to use the website when using the website for the first time would be really helpful. Other than that, I had a very positive experience with National tutors and would definitely recommend it to other students.
