Awful company and worthy of the hate. My Switch 2 stopped charging or docking via bottom port 2 months after purchase. No liquid damage, no drops, no dings ... In pristine condition. I mainly played... Toon meer

Had an issue with sons switch contrlers…
Had an issue with sons switch contrlers drifting. Raised the issue online with nontendo uk. Had an email within 20mins sending me a UPS link to arrange for collection. Sent joycons off on Friday and recieved the new joycons by Thursday the following week. I'm delighted with the speedy and efficient service. On top of that the new joycons come with a further 12mth warranty. Many thanks from myself and my son he's very happy to be able to play his switch again.
BE VERY WARY OF BUYING THROUGH SWITCH ESHOP
I've always bought and downloaded the games I own through the eShop on my Switch.
I recently bought Trine 5 on the eShop, and after setting it up, I realised (through Reddit!) that Nintendo had omitted some key product information, which meant there were additional costs if I wanted to play it as intended.
When speaking to ‘customer service’ for the first time, it’s painfully clear they have no incentive or motivation to help / provide fair sufficient responses.
After sending them my screen-share from the Switch eShop, they eventually admitted that there was no way I could’ve known that I couldn’t play two-player without purchasing extra Joy-Cons. Trine 5 is listed with EXACTLY the same information as Nintendo’s other bestselling local multiplayer games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. But unlike those games, you have to spend an extra £60 for the same two-player experience.
I asked how customers are meant to tell the difference if the official Nintendo eShop doesn't differentiate between two-player games you can play with the included gear, and two-player games where you're required to buy add-on equipment.
Gregory from Nintendo customer service said that I should’ve first checked the Nintendo website (and contacted the game’s publisher) before buying from the eShop, on the off-chance that some key product info has been omitted. And on the website, there is indeed a small disclaimer saying that this particular game requires players to purchase an extra set of Joy-Cons for multiplayer.
Sure…but there's also no disclaimer on the eShop telling customers to check the Nintendo website before purchasing their products? There is no notice anywhere warning customers that the information on the eShop may be incomplete or inaccurate, and that 'more info can be found on the website'.
So again...why would customers question it? The eShop isn’t some black market platform - it’s Nintendo’s official digital shop. You'd be forgiven for trusting the information provided there, surely?
But Nintendo say no. The eShop is not the authority, rather the website is.
And if you might’ve fallen for it and trusted eShop information as whole and complete, it’s your problem. No refunds, no acknowledgment, no apologies.
Truly shocking behaviour from a company I genuinely trusted.
I would really recommend Nintendo customers go to CEX, second hand stores or at least buy physical copies of games in future. You have no protection otherwise, and it'd save you from the absolute brain rot that is back-and-forth emailing with the Nintendo customer service team.

I keep getting payments Every 3 months taken from my bank, have asked bank to stop it, cancelled cards, Nintendo then requests new card numbers from visa and re sets up payment,
I’ve asked no Nintendo to stop many times but they will only help if I answer a LIST of questions (10 questions) 1 being a serial number for a machine I don’t have, I haven’t got so they won’t help, they actively make it impossible to keep scamming money.
PLEASE BE AWARE don’t let them have your card details
Worst customer service ever.
Worst customer service ever.
Seriously don't bother, they are so bad and have such poor attitudes towards customers.
Can use my credit to buy a game, spoke to 2 customer service agents one cut me off on live chat the other was completely unhelpful.
Wii sports is the best game
Nintendo is the best company for video games if you want interactive experiences, for example I remember back in the day playing wii boxing all the time. What a game wii sports was
Worst customer service
Disgraceful customer service. Ordered products on 1st August and only 2 arrived out of 6. I contacted Nintendo UK and was requested to provide evidence which I did. I was then told the case had been escalated for replace/refund (initially I chose replace). Over the next 5 weeks I have been requesting updates and receiving the same generic response of escalation with no name and accountability attached to each response and as usual no action. I am now having to go through chargeback procedures to get my money back that they continue to hold and will be reporting them to trading standards. The arrogance and lack of care of the company is amazing to see.
Great Repair Service!
I have the original Switch that I bought when it came out. My joy con's A button stopped responding well, hence I've just gone through a repair process with Nintendo.
Their troubleshooting on their website which shows their step-by-step suggestions is very clear to follow and I found out that my joy con needs to be repaired.
The process was surprisingly quick and easy! I've asked to start the repair process on Saturday and UPS came to collect my joy con on Monday. They received my joy con the next day and had email notifications to say they started the repair on Thursday, completed and shipped via UPS on the same day.
I received the repaired item on Friday so it took me a week to get sorted although their website says that it may require 3 weeks to receive repaired items.
I haven't received any emails to request a payment (at least for now) which is surprising given how easy and quick the process was!
Overall, I loved how the repair process went and like their attitude of not constantly releasing new consoles and providing a good repair service to customers.
(UPDATE on Nov 24 - They didn't send me any payment requests and they repaired my joy con for free!)
Terrible Customer Service, Faulty Products
Nintendo's customer service team is the worst, and their products are cheap and unreliable. Frustrating experience with unhelpful support and constant malfunctions. Disappointed and regretful. Avoid Nintendo.
disgusting service from this company.

didnt get what i paid for on a redemption code and nintendo would not give me a refund or the code back
Speedy efficient repair
We sent a Switch control away for repair which they said could take three weeks. We couldn't find the proof of purchase, but they had it fixed, for free, and back with us inside five days. Excellent service!

Not what one would expect from a company like Nintendo
I never had a good experience with their online store, mostly related to shipping issues, but lately I can not even place an order anymore. Since 5 months I am unable to access my online account from any device and have been in touch with customer services via email. I receive the same generic replies that they are looking into it, which is clearly not the case as I can not sign in or purchase anything. The only reason I needed my account to be accessible was due to it being linked to all my consoles but also the limited editions that unfortunately are mostly available only on their online store. I will continue chasing them as I don't want to delete my account and create a new one, but overall it's not the service one would expect from a company like Nintendo. Shame.
Horrendous website experience that only…
Horrendous website experience that only allows you to pay via debit card IF you have a paypal account. No wonder the company is doing poorly financially.
Awful customer service
Only automated responses from the customer service and ignoring the UK law as well. They are not acknowledging the issue or looking into it at all. Just copy / paste already prepared messages.
Awful.
Poor online store software
A few years ago Nintendo UK changed the software that powers their online store, and to this day it still lacks functionality that's common with other retailers.
One of the biggest issues is that if your payment method on a preorder expires or hasn't got enough funds, you won't be notified about this until the payment fails for a second time, at which point they cancel your order. This means you lose any benefits of preordering in advance—bonus items and delivery on release date.
If you need to change or remove a payment method, any open orders will be cancelled instead of giving you the option to update the payment method on that order.
Nintendo should have the best customer experience for ordering their own products and exclusive items, but they fall behind other retailers quite a bit when it comes to flexibility.
Worst customer service I've ever had.
Worst customer service I've ever had.
Did not explain the problem to me when my item was not delivered, would not give me more information. Sent passive-aggressive messages in live chat and closed the chat when I asked for my complaint to be elevated. Received pre-typed messaged mixed with poorly written short messages, all saying the same thing which is 'what can i help you with?' despite the fact that you are trying to explain to them.
Honestly cannot understand how any company, let alone one this size, is failing to hit the mark so badly with customer service. Will never shop from them again.
too small characters
On the Nintendo Switch - The legend of Zelda limited edition design, the specification that the console is sold without a game, is written with characters smaller than 1mm. Because of this I was fooled by Curry's that the console has the game included, and I should buy it.
Words can't express how much I want to…
Words can't express how much I want to give them a 0 star review, sadly that's not possible, if it was possible to go negative I would, by far the worst online store of any big brand ever, it literally feels like a scam run by some scummy crusty middle aged runts. I ordered the tears of the kingdom edition oled switch for £319.99, when you order on their website it has an automatic search bar for the address, so when I type in my postcode it comes up with multiple addresses since I live in a flat, ofcourse I pick my flat number, so I am 100% sure that they had my full address information, however when they sent the confirmation to my email they sent it without the exact flat number, and that's the same information they gave DPD. So DPD not having an exact address decided to relabel the parcel and send it back to the sender, Nintendo. I called up Nintendo and they didn't even apologize for the address mistake, they just said we will refund you within 5 days. 5 days pass and no refund so I call them up and they said it was being processed and may take some time. A few more days pass and I call them again having received no refund, they say that I will receive an update later that day and the money will be in my account within 3 days, shockingly no update was received that day, and the day after that, and the day after that, hoping I'll find the money in my account I take a look only to be utterly and absolutely heartbroken, how could they do this to me, they lie to me over and over again, I feel like I'm being strung along. So I call them up again and they tell me exactly the same thing that it's being processed, but I wasn't having it this time, he said I will receive an email immediately to escalate the case, and I did, but what happens next will absolutely blow your mind...wait for it....they send another email 10 minutes later saying that unfortunately we have no updates for you. Furious fella I was I called up DPD demanding they give me an address or a name or something on these fools, but ofcourse they couldn't disclose any of that information, I asked at least for some evidence that they have my parcel, they said the only evidence is this tracking number and we won't be able to confirm anything unless the supplier themselves, Nintendo, request it. So you mean to tell me they have full control of everything, they can just decide to send a product to a half address and have it sent back to them only to keep the product and the money they took from their customers, they give no names, there is no address as to where they operate from, the only people you can talk to on their customer service line have no idea apparently of what's going on, they keep going on about this department, "they" hold all the power, these dodgy shady ass departments Nintendo has set up to sweep up any unsuspecting Nintendo fans' money. What sort of third rate scheme have they got going on and how is it even allowed to go on, clearly I'm not the only one getting scammed off here judging my the reviews on here, but boy am I one f the unlucky ones who ended up losing £320, most of you only lost out on 20 quid or so.
READ IF REQUESTING REFUND!
Pre-ordered an amiibo and game. Had two boxes come, one with the game and another being an empty box.
Must be the worst dispute case process I've ever encountered! Sent signed forms, photos and multiple emails for 2 months all for a simple £12.99 amiibo!
Finally managed to get a refund!
This was only achieved after I raised a chargeback claim with my bank as after multiple email exchanges with Nintendo, they denied and dismissed my dispute case without any evidence.
What makes this funny is Nintendo legit sent 4 messages saying "a replacement or refund request has been denied".
I raised a chargeback claim and emailed Nintendo the info, telling them to stop messaging me since I was sick of receiving the same denied message.
All of a sudden, they refunded me!
So hopefully anyone in a similar situation knows what to do and how to get your money back!
I would love to give them no star
I would love to give them no star! I sent my Nintendo switch off to be repaired (I paid for a 3year warranty) I then get an email to pay for the repairs, so, confused I call Nintendo customer service. I explain I'm confused because I have a warranty and the lady on the phone starts yelling at me tell me it's not covered I explain again that I'm confused because I haven't played it in ages due to work and she yells again telling me she will send me pictures to prove it and I said I believe her about the damage I just don't understand why I have to pay when I'm covered she the screams down the phone you pay it or you don't get your switch! I will never get anything from them again just discussing!
