Cuts through 6" frozen meat with ease!
Man, I am a hunter and a fisherman that does all my own processing! My Wife got me the LOKI after watching me struggle to cut through FROZEN deer and hog trimmings to grind for sausage. I stuff a one gallon ziplock bag full of venison meat (and prefer to grind frozen). So, I can cut through a solid block of meat with ease! I have owned this knife for 3 years, and cut up about 10 bags of frozen meat into grinding size chunks. It is almost unbelievable how good this knife is! My Henkle butchers knife would wear me out... the northern knife, loki is insane how it handles the job. ALSO, the finger hole for gripping when cutting up pork shoulder which inevitably will make my hands greasy is a life savor!

Purchased A set of knives from Northern Knives. Upon receiving my order (Knives look great). I noticed one was missing. Reached out to Northern knives and in a few hours, shipped out the missing knife.
Great service, great after purchase care and great looking knives. Cant wait to use them.

Don’t waste your money
As other reviewers have mentioned ,the knives took a very long time to arrive ,they were intended as a Christmas gift
Having now been in use for 3 months I feel I can leave an accurate review
One of the knives has now started to rust ,I would say it had had a light level of use as a kitchen knife ,without prolonged exposure to moisture or acidic foods,it is a kitchen knife however so I imagine some exposure to such substances is to be expected!
Having contacted Noryhern Knives I now find out the lifetime guarantee is in fact 30 days -not much if a lifetime
If you want a decent kitchen knife ,don’t fall for the hype ,but something from a reputable company who make knives
More fool me for falling for the marketing ,a very disappointing product and experience

If you found the website through an advertisement or marketing campaign, that is not us, as we do not advertise. We also do not drop ship knives from China, as your tracking will show your knife is was from. Thats why it took so long to get to you. All my products ship from Anchorage, Alaska through USPS priority... Delivery time is 6 days at the most.
The knives we make are sold under the name 3 Dog Knife, do have a lifetime warranty and free sharpening for life, but we do not make any kitchen knives. We have also never declined a warranty claim in 14 years.
If your order number does not start with NK, it's not us. We get about 4-5 phone calls a day regarding this company. We have submitted DMCA complaints to Amazon Web Services who hosts northernknife.com, and Shopify who's platform they use for their website ecommerce.
I empathize with your poor experience with them as hear this a lot, but unfortunately you are punishing a small American owned business with your incorrect review. Best of luck to you resolving your issue.

Ordered a product from them unfortunately delivery company mishandled it and it never arrived twice. Contacted company promised refund 7 months later still no refund and company no longer answers my enquiries

Replacement was worth the wait.
I ordered a knife for my son for Christmas. It never arrived, we waited well after Christmas hoping it would show, I contacted Northern Knife several times. When I disputed the charges with my Credit Card I was contacted by NorthernKnife and was asked if I would accept a replacement shipment at no charge to me. I said we can try. The replacement arrived and it is an amazing knife my son loves it. He's a firefighter and does a lot of cooking at his station. It will get lots a use.

I bought one of Loki knives for my…
I bought one of Loki knives for my husband. He LOVES it! The hole in the blade assists with holding and the blade is the sharpest of any knife we have had. Plus I bought the leather sheath for it and the quality is just as beautiful and sturdy as the knife. Best choice ever for a man who loves to cook and barbecue!

I just wanted to say a few words about. Knives of the North. Like most folks, I found them on Amazon while making a knife purchase. Afterward, I noticed a lot of the knives that I like, being sold on Amazon, we're being sold by then. So, I decided to go to their site, which ultimately ended up to me creating an account. And now whether it's adding a beautiful Scandinavian knife to my collection, or making a beautiful Scandinavian style knife myself to add to my collection, knives of the north is the place to go! I have never had any issues, but if their troubleshooting response time is anything like their delivery and order processing time, then I'm sure they are way above industry-standard.

Great knife shop. I brought a buddy in here to look at knives, we ended up staying for quite a while learning about the custom knives they made. Very friendly and accommodating. Very knowledgeable and amazing to work with. Highly recommend!
