We Are NUCO have been getting students to the mountains since 2012. As The Home of x, we’ve helped thousands of students hit the slopes, and we’re not slowing down.
What is We Are NUCO?
We’re the student-facing arm of NUCO Travel, based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. We organise university ski and snowboard trips to the Alps and beyond, working directly with university snowsports clubs and committees across the UK and Ireland. We handle everything from transport and accommodation to lift passes and events, so university ski trip organisers don’t have to juggle it all themselves. As part of the NUCO Travel Group, we’ve helped take over 100,000 people to the mountains to date.

Which ski resorts does We Are NUCO cover?
We run trips to resorts across France and Andorra, including Alpe d’Huez, Avoriaz, Tignes, Val Thorens, Val d’Isère, Les Deux Alpes, Méribel, Risoul and Pas de la Casa. University clubs we’ve worked with have travelled to resorts including Les Deux Alpes, Risoul, Tignes and Pas de la Casa in recent seasons. Val Thorens, one of our most popular resorts, sits within the Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the world.
Do you offer group ski holidays?
Group travel is our bread and butter. We work with university snowsports clubs and societies of all sizes, from a handful of committee members to trips of thousands of students. We coordinate transport, accommodation, lift passes and events under one booking, so club organisers aren’t chasing separate confirmations.
What makes a We Are NUCO trip different?
Our resort reps run the trip on the ground and, alongside our account managers, are core to the We Are NUCO experience. Every trip also includes a full events schedule, from mountain yoga to open-air festival stages.
How do I know my money’s safe?
For UK bookings, we’re ABTOT protected, so your payments are safeguarded in the unlikely event of financial failure. For bookings made in EUR, your payment is protected under a separate insurance policy arranged to safeguard customer prepayments, in line with the Package Holidays and Travel Trade Act 1995 for our Republic of Ireland customers.

I contacted NUCO for help transferring a ticket as something had gone wrong, and over the course of three days they were all incredibly responsive and patient as the situation kept changing!

Feb 2026 Tignes Trip
Booked our Feb 2026 Ski Trip to Tignes through NUCO and what can I say:
Did we have a great time on the bus to and from Geneva Airport? Yes
Could we ski right to our hotel room door? Yes
Could we get to the first lift within 5 minutes? Yes
Could we get home from Coco Ricos with all our gear? Sometimes
Could we sweat out the ski beers in a world class spa? Yes
Would we do it all over again? Absolutely.

Do not use We are Nuco
Accommodation provided was totally shocking for the price. The loo was so small, the door had to be left open to use it. And then “We are Nuco”
retained some of the damage deposit despite the departure instructions they provided being followed to the letter and there being no damage and an immaculate property.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear that the accommodation did not meet your expectations, particularly in relation to space and facilities. The accommodations we use on our student ski trips are typically basic self-catered apartments, to ensure that they are as accessible and affordable as possible. Therefore, the space available within the apartment is sometimes reflected in the price that is paid. That being said, we understand that this must have been frustrating.
We’re also sorry to hear your concerns regarding the damage deposit. Damage charges are applied by the accommodation supplier, and not by NUCO. If you feel like all departure instructions were followed and the retention was not justified, we completely understand why this would be disappointing.
Please could you contact us directly with your booking details so we can review the accommodation allocation and the deposit assessment in detail? We’ll ensure this is checked thoroughly and get back to you with a clear explanation.
