Thay are the worst insurance firm ever. Behave in shady practices if you attemp to leave. Paid in full the said was cancelled then next email said your outstanding debt has been moved to debt collectors. Crooked misleading and a discrace.

I will give 0 if possible worst car insurance company ever, I was with them 3 years, honestly this guy's are gangster take your money off, when I have accident they don't want to know you, if you want to claim they do looking for a little excuse to cancel your insurance policy

Totally wasting my time to wait for someone who will arrange my claim & replacement vehicle. Been with them for how many years but the service is so poor & delay of communication. They shouldn’t continue to get customers who will get insuranve from them. They are money grabber. My insurance policy will soon expire & my car is still waiting to be collected by their appointed salvage company & they still want to
Get my monthly direct debit, eventhough they haven’t provided me a replacement vehicle or pay me for my transport to work. I strongly NOT recommend this insurance Please check reviews before buying this insurance. Almost of the reviews are negative. Look for something else that has good reviews & ready to help &
Support when it’s needed especially when there’s a breakdown or accident that has been your fault.

Unfortunately I couldn’t put no stars. This insurance company are dreadful, DO NOT USE THEM. I insured a BMW X5 through them. I put my registration into their online quotation and it auto populated the description of the car, everything seemed fine, the correct colour, make, engine size etc. A few months later my house was broken into and the car was stolen off my driveway. When I contacted Octagon they told me immediately that I couldn’t claim because the car I had insured was not an X5 but a 5 series BMW as stated on my policy. The X was missing of the policy!! It took months of wrangling until they settled but then I only got 2 thirds of the value of the car. I cannot stress enough, please, please avoid this dreadful company!!!

Terrible company, communication is terribly slow. Cancelled my insurance with them and they still debited my account for nearly two years, now end up with them owing me over £1,000 which they are proving impossible to deal with, have provided all documentation which has been requested, ongoing saga for nearly four months, will be going to the ombudsman as a result, AVOID!!!

Do not use this company or any related companies in this group. I made a claim and they paid themselves yet I didn’t receive a penny for my vehicle I was told it would be scrap value yet somehow they managed to pay themselves over £600 and now the claim is held against me yet somehow they benefit. Also they said they would dispose of the vehicle to which I refused since I could see another part of their company was selling “write offs” for quite large amounts on auction sites. Absolute joke

Well apparently they are that bad they did shut down...in December 2017.. shame they forgot to let customers know and were taking money even in May 2018 ...
Only to be discovered today when the other half was pulled by the pigs on a motorway with 2 disabled children in the car!!!!

Absolutely shocking! After somebody damaged my car, while parked, so it had to be totalled I am still getting phone calls about the accident. It has been over three years!

They would not helped and blamed me though my car was parked and I was nowhere near it. After several phone calls they did absolutely nothing to help me.

I discover the Admiral, the other person's insurance company, was brilliant. They paid me for the car and sorted out my courtesy car.

I did not want to review this company and just put it down as a bad experience. I have always avoided small insurance company until then. I am getting really tired of the phone calls. Not only I lost my car I am still have lots of unwanted phone calls.

Avoid Octagon. The insurance is not worth it written on.

Absolutely shocking!
Had my insurance with them for almost 2 years, the prices they charged were extortionate! Got a quote for a new car and they quoted me 4 times what I'd been quoted on comparison sites! Then when I rang to cancel was told it would be a £75 cancellation fee, rang up the day after to cancel and told it would be £50+ what I owe? What I owe? I pay my insurance monthly so how can they work out I owe them money... took them 8 days to actually cancel the policy, as long as trying to take more money from me than the cancellation fee 🤷 and still not had my proof of no claims from them!!

Beware they should not be in business. I rang to Change my car .... then a few months later got stopped by police for having no insurance on new car ... octagon had never bothered to change any details !, then when having to deal with them on the phone you quickly realise they are a complete shambles of a company . I’ve just looked at all the other reviews and they’re all as bad as my experience . Avoid at all costs . They need to be shut down ASAP

I followed what they required me to do inorder to obtain my proof of no claims, 3 times, and had nothing from octagon or their agent. The only option, as I see it, is make a complain and then go to the ombudsman but that could take ages and then you'll have issues with reinsurance costs.

Finally got one, sent it to my new insurer who wouldn't sorry it as they had sent me a template for no claims, basically I could of issued lots of proof of no claims as it was an editable copy and not a pdf, joke of a company.

This company should be banned immediately from offering insurance especially untrustworthy, un professional and continuous lies. Worst then the UK government for trust.

It took them 3 months to process my insurance. I had almost lost hope. Plus, they mostly ignore your calls and you're asked to show up on their premises just to show some kind of verification.

They knocked off my no claims bonus and hiked up my quote after an accident that was not my fault. They told me they would readjust my quote if it was resolved as a non fault, which it was. They then told me I was due back only £39 after they had doubled my premiums. Apparently I was coming to the end of my policy, and so there was not much they could do.

Avoid at all costs.

after my accidents they passed me over to Carpenters law Solicitors Cowboys of law, just read the reviews of Carpenters law on google.

after 3 years and sevral people dealing with my case, I complained at the 3rd aniversay to carpenters law month after they won't represent me anymore.

they never reply to email or pick up the phone

sent the same complaint to Octagon they said they can't do anything.

now i have no-one to represent me and its hard to find anyone thats why they let it go, they get paid at the end of the day. octagon have been paid already

the third party solicitors are chasing me for £8000.00 after there client hit me in the rear.

octagon don't care, spoke to them today they can't help me and there still passing on clients to carpenters law.

Carpenters will string you along for 3 years and send you threatening letters or stop representing you until you do what they say.

You will ruin your life if you have an accident with Octagon

My mini was written off (cat D) and I wasn’t at fault so I made a claim.

Octagon sold my written off car using MY personalised registration plates (rather then the actual one for the car that's on the v5c document) and allowed it to be driven on the roads. Current driver has racked up parking tickets and fines in my name. I'm currently liable for everything until I can have my chance to prove I am not the driver but am the victim of fraud. Had to waste time working with 3 separate police investigations to catch the driver off my written off car using my plates.

I'm currently driving around in my new car using my personalised plate and I'll be getting pulled over everytime I pass a police car with an ANPR camera as police try to catch the actual driver whose driving around on false plates.

Octagons response was they don't care and they've done nothing wrong, despite salvagers claiming that Octagon failed to inform them the cherised plate needed removing. Now taking up the case with the industry ombudsman.

Pay a few quid more and avoid. No help what so ever. They don't answer calls. Good luck wasting 3-4 hours every day trying to find the right person!!!

Third party ran into back of car damaged it and drove off octagon took so long to investigate that the cctv has been deleted. Then they recorded it on the database we were at fault and they paid out -completely false! Car insurance doubled and the financial ombudsman see no reason to put the business at fault! Worse service ever
