worst distributor for me
Offstep is a distributor specifically for small musicians, in my opinion, why? Yes, because they only pay small royalties, like under 200 dollars. I have 2 Offstep royalty accounts on both accounts 1 account was held for 2000 dollars and the other for 300 dollars I lost access to all my royalties I only suggest that if you are a big artist, you should not distribute via offstep because if your royalties are large, your account will be frozen and royalties will be withheld.

Most platforms use a pro-rata payment model. The pro-rata calculation depends on several factors, such as the number of streams, territory, whether it was a premium user stream or not, etc. Therefore, there is no fixed amount, as the payment is calculated using an average.
The amount shown in the OFFstep account is exactly the amount passed on by the platforms to the content creator.

Missed release date, blocked artist credits, and no answers — on the most expensive plan
I've been using OFFstep to distribute the TeuMarulo album Alguém Aqui Agora, a release I've been carefully planning for over a month. Two serious problems remain unresolved — and I'm on the highest-tier plan, which I specifically upgraded to in order to get multiple artist credits and priority support. Neither has been delivered.
The first is straightforward: today was the scheduled release date for the single "X" — programmed well in advance, confirmed in the platform. The single did not go live. No notification, no explanation, nothing. I only found out because I checked myself. I opened a support ticket, but as of now there's no response and no music on the platforms.
The second problem has been dragging on across multiple singles. The album Alguém Aqui Agora has 8 tracks and we're releasing 4 singles in sequence — "X", "A Volta Que Você Me Deu", "Volto Pra Minha Terra" and "Bombeia". We want all releases credited to three performers: TeuMarulo, Marulo, and Teu Maneschy. TeuMarulo is the duo formed by Marulo and Teu Maneschy — it's a distinct artistic project with its own catalog, its own audience, and its own identity. OFFstep has been blocking these releases, claiming that listing TeuMarulo alongside the individual names violates some internal guideline. When we asked them to show us exactly where this rule is documented, they couldn't provide it.
I signed to the advanced plan precisely because it promised better support response times and more flexibility for complex releases. What I got instead was a missed release date with no warning, a recurring block on legitimate artist credits with no legal basis provided, and support that hasn't resolved either issue.
A missed release date has real consequences — playlist pitching windows, pre-save campaigns, audience expectations, promotional timing. And blocking a legitimate artist credit configuration without being able to cite the actual rule that justifies it is not acceptable.
I'm writing this publicly because the internal support process has not worked.

Offstep has been a great experience so far. The platform is very fast with approvals and makes it easy to distribute music without long delays. I like how simple and user-friendly the interface is, especially when uploading and managing releases.
The delivery speed is impressive, and my music gets sent out quickly to platforms. The overall process feels smooth and efficient compared to other distributors I’ve used.
I’d recommend Offstep to artists who want quick turnaround times and a straightforward distribution experience I would say Offstep better than TuneCore definitely faster than them.

We repeatedly cancelled our subscription and were repeatedly told we would not be charged.
Inevitably they stole $144 from us as you cannot cancel your subscription on the site and they just tell you that you will not be charged.
DO NOT USE!!
They did not refund the full amount despite me migrating all of my content months before the “renewal”

Cancelling your subscription is impossible; we had to get our bank involved as, despite endless requests, Offstep refused to cancel it.
We had no songs or artists on there as we had removed them months before, but there was no way of cancelling the subscription.
Steer well clear!!

8 reclamaciones en menos de 2 años
De nuevo otra queja más. Llevo esperando desde el día 20 de diciembre a que me publiquen el álbum.
Según ellos: "Por favor, ten en cuenta que el plazo para la aprobación es de 48 horas hábiles." "Por lo general, se necesitan al menos dos días hábiles para revisar un álbum". "Ya está en la fila de aprobación y, en breve, recibirás una actualización"... Buenas palabras pero no dan solución, al menos, a corto plazo.
Además, me acabo de dar cuenta de esta información cuando he querido retirar lo poquísimo que he ganado (31$): "Para retirar tus fondos en USD desde Tipalti, necesitarás configurar una cuenta e ingresar tus datos de pago. El monto mínimo para retirar por cartera es de 50$."
No les aconsejo para nada esta distribuidora, es pésima. Llevo 8 reclamaciones en menos de 2 años. No me extraña su baja valoración.

- 1ª cuestión, escribí esta reseña el 30 de diciembre y ustedes replican el 12 de marzo.
- 2ª cuestión, cuando escribí esta reseña ya llevaba 10 DÍAS esperando una solución, así que lo de "de 2 a 5 días" me parece una broma de mal gusto.
- 3ª cuestión, es verdad que solo me han rechazado un contenido -yo nunca dije lo contrario-; no obstante, sí he tenido que solicitar numerosas revisiones de mis álbumes por culpa de las portadas. Así que por favor clarifiquen este asunto, pues los únicos requisitos que se señalan son estos:
Formato de archivo: JPG, PNG
Tamaño: al menos 3000x3000 píxeles
Tamaño del archivo: El tamaño del archivo de imagen no puede ser mayor a 35 MB
Modo de color: RGB de mejor calidad (incluidas imágenes en blanco y negro)
Resolución: 72 dpi
La portada del libro no debe contener logotipos, direcciones de sitios web, fechas de lanzamiento ni publicidad de ningún tipo.

Nuestro equipo revisó su caso y, al momento de los tickets mencionados, nuestro equipo trabajaba con personal reducido debido al fin de año. Por lo tanto, los análisis que normalmente se completan en 24 horas ahora tienen un plazo de 2 a 5 días hábiles. La información se comparte por correo electrónico y redes sociales con nuestros artistas y sellos discográficos.
Actualmente, de los 26 contenidos que enviaste, solo uno ha sido rechazado, lo cual puede resolverse con nuestro equipo de soporte. Y otro fue eliminado por ti usando nuestra herramienta de "eliminación con un solo clic".
Respecto a los retiros, sí, hay un monto mínimo de retiro de USD 50 en dólares, y la herramienta utilizada es Tipalti.
Su satisfacción es muy importante para nosotros y nos comprometemos a mejorar en función de sus comentarios.
