Technical sales support during ordering. I experienced online purchase with my credit card. I called Hobo Tech Support and he walked me through my order. Afterwards, he assisted me with using my MX1104 data logger.

Phone app for HOBO datalogger should be…
Phone app for HOBO datalogger should be backward compatible to older model phones. All other apps I use work well, but the tech told me that play store requires them to update the app to only meet newer phone standards. Makes no sense.

Cable not included
The communications cable was not included. I wish that was clearer from the description. Now I have to wait two extra days for the cable.

Onset ignored a request for help in choosing a product
Now one would have thought that emailing a company to get help in choosing one of their products would elicit a prompt reply, but no, not with Onset. I emailed twice, and have had no reply in over two weeks. Apart from being just discourteous, it makes little business sense. If they can't be bothered to reply to a request for help in choosing a product, just imagine what customer support might be like! Very disappointing; I shall take my business elsewhere.
6 Oct 2025 Update:
Despite the reply from Onset, still not heard anything from their supplier! Confirms my earlier decision to go elsewhere.

Lost in shipping before delivery. Onset quick to resolve.
When the shipping company lost the package, Onset sent out a replacement order immediately at no extra cost.

We ordered 3 different instruments, and all were delivered fast with everything arriving in good condition.
Ease of replacement
I love that I can order the replacement, have it come in, and then mail the old one back out without having a lapse in monitoring. I am leery of sending out my new(er) logger for the replacement, but the above ease makes it more appealing.
As for basic training of the logger, there could be improvement on the training guides as they are not as intuitive as they could be. Trying to search a specific need, such as changing a battery and how to relaunch your logger, is hard to find and often confusing to others trying to do this independently.
Continuing World Class Products and Service
I have been using your products for the last 25 years in both my everyday job of finding energy savings as well as a college professor in the energy management courses I teach. These devices NEVER disappoint. The service is also world class, answering any and all questions that come up. Keep up the great work (and thanks again Elton).
