A Nonprofit Therapy Network for Underinsured, financially strapped, and Uninsured Patients
Open Path Collective is a nonprofit network of therapists who help people who have trouble affording therapy find access to affordable therapy options with a whole nationwide network. It has been really hard for me to find someone who is specialized in the areas I need as a rare disease and complex care patient. They helped me find someone who has the credentials I am looking for. I spoke directly to the therapist and didn't have a third party runaround. They do charge a $65 dollar one time lifetime membership fee which is used to fund administrative and hosting costs as well as to develop and continue growing their network. They're a nonprofit and so the fee is certainly an important factor that helps them stay afloat. They help the underinsured find the mental health care they need and do it well. It's what Talkspace and other online therapy companies should strive to be like, but they're in it for their own financial gain unlike Open Path Collective. I am beyond thankful for them!
