I’ve had a good experience working with Outlier so far. It’s a great platform if you are looking for an extra job to do for a few hours after your main 9-to-5 to earn some additional money. I’ve been able to earn quite a decent amount, and the best part is that payouts are weekly, which is very helpful.

The main downside to be aware of is the project availability. It isn't always consistent; there are times when you might find yourself without a project for weeks or even months at a time. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend relying on it as your sole source of income, but as a flexible side gig, it’s a solid option.

Seit knapp einem Jahr gibt es keine passenden Aufgaben mehr für mich, das ist extrem ärgerlich, da ich extra ein Gewerbe angemeldet habe um für Outlier zu arbeiten!!

Des Weiteren ist die Nutzung der KI begrenzt.
Mein hart erarbeiteter Streak, sowie meine Position auf dem Leaderbord gehen dadurch verloren.

Und zu guter letzt (was auch mein Fehler war)

Ich habe ein kinderbuch mit der KI verbessert, eine Mitarbeiterin von Outlier hat sich meine Idee geschnappt und vor mir umgesetzt. Mein Herzblut, all meine Traumatas waren in diesem Buch verarbeitet um Kindern zu helfen mit ihren Gefühle umzugehen und diese zu verstehen.
Auf meine Nachrihct an Outlier kam NIE eine Antwort.

Algunas veces encuentras información interesante. Otras veces sospecho la autenticidad de la información compartida. Nunca me ofrecieron ninguna oportunidad laboral, pero me pidieron subir mi DNI para poder acceder a la plataforma. Llegó un momento cuando me dijeron que ya no puedo usar el Playground por llegar a un límite 100000 USD mientras había otras personas usando durante más tiempo el plataforma. Parece que hay una estafa por detrás o como si estarían traficando con mi identidad con terceros.

Outlier is definitely a found.
This is a real deal.
Sometimes clumsy, sometimes bit unpredictable.
But VERY interesting and paying.

I am still under deep impression, they had project - to make puzzles that can stump the model.

Great platform. Have been on Outlier for some months now and all I can say is, I'm glad to be part of Outlier. Payment is always on time and you get value for time spend working on project.

Outlier.ai is a reliable platform, which have flexible schedules and weekly payment plans. It's beneficial to all.

Worked for two years religiously then got deactivated for “using AI” when I never did such a thing. No appeal given, just deactivated and banned when I did nothing wrong at all. So disheartening and terrible business practice.

I got my account deactivated after weeks of EQ
Actually I got my account deactivated and then reactivated after couple of hours then now deactivated for 2 days.
And support doesn’t look or consider my issue because it replies an auto response or bot response (Not a real human)
However if I can give it 0 star I’ll do not hating but to be honest and help others before they get lost.
The theory that proves they are doing that in purpose they have invited reviewers recently to cover the 1 star ratings
I’d never recommend this company as a worker because of their bad reputation and mess!!

Outlier recruited me through LinkedIn in March 2024 and I've worked part time for them since, both as an "attempter" creating test cases and annotating, and as a reviewer. Over that time they have provided me with a helpful source of additional income. There have been occasions when there has not been suitable work for me, or I have been too busy with other things to work, and other times when it has been very lucrative. Outlier works at scale, and strives to keep up the quality of the work being done by its contractors. Project work is completely driven by client requirements, and one senses that when a client requests some work there is a rush to document as much of the client's requirements and develop a training course and "filter" for suitable contractors as soon as possible. That filtering process can feel arbitrary, and one can invest one's own time in training but then be filtered out by a careless answer or by simply not "reading the mind" of the people who made the test. One needs to be sometimes thick-skinned and "not take it personally". Over the two years I've seen Outlier provide more mechanisms for peer support between contractors, and over the past 6 months in particular I've seen Outlier make considerable efforts to improve its communication with the contractors working for it.
If you work for Outlier you can expect to think hard and to work carefully and quickly for whatever you are paid. They are seeking people are experts in their respective fields and work diligently, but they see a lot of people looking to make a quick buck with sloppy work.
I've gained a clear understanding of what the strengths and weaknesses of AI are, which has helped me in my day job.
I've done a fair bit of unpaid work in my own time related to Outlier, either updating areas of my specialty that I felt I should know about, or reading for interest, so I've felt that I've learned quite a bit in working on the projects.
Over the two years they have always paid me on time for the work that I've done, and I have not ever felt "tricked".

It's a good company to get tasks done and earn money; they're honest and pay for the hours worked.

But the system isn't very fair, so you need to be prepared to experience some injustices. The onboarding system for entering a project is generally flawed, and you don't get a second chance if you fail, even if you did everything right, and there's no one to turn to.

Super positive experience. Excellent projects and timely payments. Since last summer however, there has been a decline in projects for my native language which is Italian. I hope it arrives soon and we can return to workin as before.

I have had a generally positive experience working on Outlier. The platform gave me the opportunity to earn remotely through AI training and evaluation tasks, and payments were processed correctly in my own experience. Some projects can be strict and requires careful attention to guidelines, but overall it has been a valuable learning and earning experience for me.

I've been having a great experience with Outlier so far. I joined sometime June last year but never really had time for it until February this year. I've been able to get on a couple of projects that are great fits for my skills and availability.

I've never had issues with payment or had any reason to reach out for support. When my first significant paycheck was declined by PayPal, the Outlier system just broke it into two installments and tried again on Fridays until everything was paid.

It's been a great experience for me, and I appreciate the opportunity to earn additional income on my own time.

Outlier is an excellent platform for freelancers. This is my first month, but I have already received outstanding support from the community. On this platform, you learn something new every day. Payments are always made on time.

I've earned over $6,400 on Outlier from one project in the last month. Payments have always arrived on time and the work — evaluating AI model responses — is genuinely engaging if you like that kind of thinking.

Like any contract platform, project rates and task availability can shift, so it's not a guaranteed income stream. But the 'scheme' rumours floating around don't reflect my experience. It's a real platform doing real work, and onboarding only asks for what any legitimate contractor platform would need to pay you.

My experience on outlier has been great. First of all I love the fact that the hours you work are strictly counted ensuring that you get the value for the work done. You also can see reviews to help you know if the work you did met the expectations of the client.
I love the fact that there is a community you can interact with if there are any issues and that if you have issues with your account you can easily reach out to support and they will solve it for you. I also appreciate the consistent prompt payment of money earned, for hours spent. The playground tool that gives access to a wide range of GPT also is a very helpful tool. In general, I believe Outlier is a great platform that is direct on what you can and cannot do and upfront about every payment system and change in payment system.

Outlier is true to what they said they are. My experience so far is top notch and they pay you for what you've done. They don't steal your data as people might think rather they keep your data private. I'll recommend outlier all day everyday.
