Please do not buy from Paraear (now rebranded as ParaEar)

I bought a pair of headphones from Paraear, in November 2025, which proved to be faulty, and have been in email correspondence since then, trying to obtain a refund, without success.

From my experience, it appears this business is in contravention of UK trading standards and is a calculated scam.

When I purchased, Paraear referred to themselves as Paraear UK and appeared to be a UK company, with a co.uk website, with prices in sterling and no indication that they were based outside of the UK. This impression was reinforced, as they used Royal Mail.

I had been drawn in by what looked like a great technical review, but looking into it further, I realised the website had nothing to do with technology and was obviously fake.

So, cancelled my order within a few hours but was told it had been despatched, and couldn’t be stopped. Tracking showed the courier had not actually received the parcel, but there was no response to my insistence on cancellation, even though the courier did not receive the parcel until days later.

When the headphones arrived, in addition to one ear not working, the headphones were seriously substandard, in terms of materials and technical quality, when compared to equivalents, such as Bose or Sennheiser, in the same price range.

There are no company or contact details on the website apart from one support email, which constantly recycles the same message, from someone called Vivian, without reference to the actual complaint.
When I asked for my complaint to be escalated to a higher authority, this Vivian simply recycled the same response as previously.

As requested, I emailed a video, of the fault, but was told in an obviously pre-generated email, that there was nothing wrong with the product, and that I should return it, at my own cost to an address in China, with plenty of caveats about whether they would refund. There is no mention of China on the website, and from reading some reviews, returns are either not acknowledged, or assessed as not faulty, so I refused to part with the evidence, or undertake further costs, as my video clearly illustrated the fault.

Since when, I have been offered 10% and then 15% ‘compensation’, which I refused, as a full refund should have been due. Even if Paraear paid all the overwhelmingly unsatisfied customers 15%, bearing in mind the minimal costs of production, they still walk away with a good profit for supplying defective/ substandard products, which feels like a scam, to me.

There appears to be no way to bring this organisation to book, as however much I asked, no organisational or ownership details are available, let alone tax details. My request for a VAT invoice was ignored.

In addition, during the course of my emails. Paraear took down their co.uk website, and put up an almost identical .com one, with prices in dollars, and now refer to themselves as ParaEar AU, purporting to be Australian. There was no notice to subscribers of the co.uk site, as a result of which there is no audit trail of UK purchases.

No legitimate organisation would behave in this obviously dishonest manner, or indulge in this sort of subterfuge, and misrepresentation.

So, as I say, please stay away, for your peace of mind

The product is faulty, the ANC creates an ear splitting whistle that causes pain and means it cannot be used, and this is why I bought them in the first place.
To be fair, in the absence of the ANC issue they are comfy and the sound is good, but they are faulty. So I contacted the company and then it all goes wrong. Emails saying they are not faulty (interesting when they have not looked at them) , I have to send them to China despite buying in the UK etc etc etc. Avoid Avoid Avoid unless you want endless emails with 'Vivian' from customer lackofsupport

Packaging arrived with a UK address should the parcel be un-delivered. Paraear say not to return the item there as it is not their company. Who the hell is the UK address then.
Since it arrived I have been going back and forth with 'Vivian' (not sure if it is AI generated as communication is repetitive and dismissive and I dont think my communication is understood if it is read at all!) There is no regard for UK consumer rights.
Their website is not transparent.
Interestingly if you go to their website now it is 'closed'
I am going to go down the 'chargeback' route with my credit card.
So annoyed with myself for not checking Trustpilot first!

Got caught out like everyone else here, but don't give up don't waste anytime talking to these clowns. Go to your card company and request a charge back.
You will get a refund and be able to stick two fingers up to this group of scammers, better still don't give them your money in the first place.

Dreadful earphones. Don't buy.
Look nice, but feel very cheap. Can't get any sound out of them either.
My son checked out all the very positive reviews and reckoned they were bot-generated.
Tried to return and weirdly was offered a discount to keep them (odd, but I assume it helps the sales numbers)

Do not under any circumstances purchase these headphones. I paid $200 Australian for these poorly made plastic headphones that came with little or no instruction, no power brick for charging.
The sound quality from these headphones is akin to a $10 pair that you would purchase from a dollar shop cheap store.
The left headphone developed a loud hissing sound after 10 minutes of use.
Total and absolute garbage $200 badly spent, I wish that i had read a review of the product.
I cannot stress enough DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!! ABSOLUTE SCAM OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.

SCAM. Returns have to go back to China which is expensive - nearly £30 from UK. Nowhere on the website does it state this or anything about China. UK email address makes it look like they are based in the UK - very deceptive.
Headphones are uncomfortable and sound quality is poor. Totally lacks quality for the price.
Don't get caught out.

Any reviews higher than 1 star are fake. This company is horrendous. Ordered earphones and they make it impossible to return. They say themselves they are difficult to return as it costs a lot to send them back to china even though they arrived from a London address. They then offer 10% of the money back and to keep the product. The person emailing is absolutely clueless and this company should not exist. DONT FALL FOR THE FAKE REVIEWS

if you have tiny ears like me you know the struggle lol. finally these bluetooth earphones actually fit without falling out or hurting after an hour. HUGE relief to find something comfy.

Took these wireless earphones on a flight recently and the noise cancellation is no joke... barely heard the engine at all. Plus the battery life is a beast. Definitely a solid buy for travelers.

Complete rubbish, reviews are scams, refuse refund, don’t buy

The transparency mode on these earphones works well. I can have a conversation without needing to take them out.

The connection on these earphones is seamless. They pair with my iPhone as soon as I open the case.

Scam! Do not buy. Cheap headphones from China. No possible return either, I paid over £20 to send it back and they stopped responding to my emails and 2 months later the headphones were returned to me. Straight to the bin

I have no problems with these Bluetooth earphones. They're nothing special, but they get the job done.

I love the small case for these Bluetooth earphones. It's so small and light, I can take it anywhere.

Yep I fell for the reviews on a comparison website. I usually check TrustPilot before I order anything sadly I checked once the order was completed. I tried to cancel but Paraear sent an email saying the order was already processed. When the headphones arrived they were of poor quality for the price and did not work. Asked for a refund and offered 10% of the price back plus I was expected to pay taxes and customs charges on return to China. I was then offered 15% and finally 50% and I could keep the headphones. I refused and sent them back. I had to involve my credit card company and they refunded me. I then received an email from Paraear asking why I had involved my bank. Their customer service as well as their product is abysmal! Avoid being conned and give this company a swerve. The head phones aren’t worth £5 never mind the nearly £110 I paid! I will always check reviews before I buy anything online again! Wish I could have given Paraear 0 stars!
