Refused to refund unused balance
Booked in as private patient in 2020 with a tooth infection, had to pay for an initial exam as they couldn't see me for emergency work until I was accepted and that required an initial exam, yet after paying the fee I was told I was on a waiting list as initial exams aren't emergencies and they were running an emergency only service.
Went to another dentist who gave antibiotics right away, and said I shouldn't have waited so long. Spoke to Torcross Dental again and asked for a refund and was given a cheque, during COVID, so was unable to cash it.
Found the cheque recently, and asked for it to be re-written so I could cash it but was told Rodericks Dental have bought the business so they don't owe me anything. I'm still registered on their system so it wasn't just an asset sale.
Not worth chasing for £22.70 but worth noting what kind of company you'll be doing business with.
