The whole experience was ruined because of our server . We took a group of friends and family and naturally we were aware of the menu and prices. But this particular server ( a student we were told), continuously interjected into our conservation. Worst of all she repeatedly kept pushing our guests for top ups for drinks or more food. Our guests ended up ordering and re ordering each time she pushed ; given that etiquette required we couldn’t really say no, our bill came to a whopping big amount and further we also didn’t have privacy of our dining
Please the restaurant to take serious note. As working people, we work hard to have an enjoyable experience and this was not , including far far higher in cost than expected owing to the server..

I had to click on the website to make sure the reviews were actually about the Pasture I know. I was surprised to see some negative comments, because my experience has always been fantastic.

My husband and I started going to Pasture Bristol because there was a lot of hype, and they completely surpassed our expectations. The food is delicious — try the black squid and pork belly as starters, the chateaubriand as a main, and the chocolate dome for dessert. You’ll end up licking your fingers 😊

It’s a bit pricey, but for us it’s totally worth it every time, especially for special occasions. Every visit has been outstanding: from the warm welcome at the door, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and even a birthday dessert with a little message. The whole experience is faultless.

On our most recent visit we had a small issue with the appetiser, and they acknowledged it straight away, apologised, and offered us the dessert for free. Chris, the assistant manager, was incredibly kind, helpful and friendly. In our view, he represents excellent customer service and is one of the reasons we’ll keep coming back.

In summary, we enjoy Pasture every single time. Now it’s time to save up and go again!

Pasture Birmingham
My children arranged the meal for my 65th birthday celebration. On arrival we received a warm welcome and were shown to our table. Drinks ordered and arrived promptly by our friendly waiter.
He talked through the menu with us and also the butchers block. We opted for the à la carte menu, starters arrived and were nice enough...it then started to go downhill, 3 of us ordered the ribeye steak which were very disappointing, each one of them had sinew running through, my sons was the worst and after he had battled through 1/2 of it they offered to replace it, he declined as he had lost his appetite at this point. There was no offer to replace either mine or my daughters, even though I showed the manageress mine when she came over. My husbands
supposedly medium sirloin still had a pulse, he ate the edges that were cooked and left the rest. The sides, well where do I start, 2 jackets potatoes were ordered were disgusting, imagine a frozen jacket potato that was dry and powdery inside, no butter whatever. One of them was replaced with fries.
Then the tomato salad, it was literally tomato pulp on a plate..when queried this was their version of tomato salad!
We couldn't be bothered with the deserts and asked for the bill, this is when the manageress appeared and I actually showed her my steak. She went away and came back saying she'd deducted a round of drinks, really was that it was that the best she could do? I felt that at least one if the steaks should have been credited also. I think this is probably only the poor review on here and maybe it was just bad luck but I would say that there are much nicer restaurants in the area and we definitely won't be returning. Such a shame as it ruined my birthday. The dog was happy with his doggy bag though when we got home !!!!

I loved my experience at Pasture in Birmingham.

I booked a table for two for my girlfriend’s birthday, and from the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, seated, and really well looked after.

At one point, my girlfriend asked the waitress looking after us whether they did anything special for birthdays. The waitress smiled — I can’t remember exactly what she said — but after our meal, my girlfriend was brought a lovely little birthday treat: a piece of cake with “Happy Birthday” written in chocolate on the plate.

It was such a small gesture, but it genuinely made her day.

The food was absolutely delicious as well. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Flawless experience. The food, service and ambience were all top notch. Even steps beyond that was our particular team member, Flynn (sp?) who lowkey went above and beyond throughout. I’ve been to an array of fancy-ass places around the world; and I don’t think I’ve experienced that level of quality from someone who worked there. I genuinely thought he owned the place. 10% service was far too low.

It’s okay . It was special but now it’s okay

Went to pasture Cardiff today for my birthday. Everyone very nice and attentive, the vibe is high class and special but the food is not what it was a year ago. Back then everyone on the table was saying “try this “ and “this is amazing” . This time it was silence or just conversation. No excitement

It was ok , not bad . Don’t avoid it . I imagine the steaks are probably great but anyone can cook a good piece of steak well

Came back to pasture several years after a previous disappointing experience. Meals took a long time to arrive. When they did one meal was found to contain 10 plastic cake candle holders. Weird. What 'human error' produced that?

Won't be coming back.

We already ingest enough microplastics without the help of Pasture

Visited pasture with my partner nice vibe to the restaurant and the food didn’t disappoint starter of beef carpaccio will live long on my tastebuds all served to us with excellent service by our waiter kameron

Waited 1 hour 50 mins for our food , our table was booked for 8pm, which had been ore ordered . When mine arrived , I had Pitt beef it was cold . Nobody came to the table to say us the food ok.. this place is over rated snd expensive for just steak and frozen chips . Not worth it and the service was very slow . And they put 10 % on the bill too… very very disappointed

The food was superb - best steak we've had for a very long time. The staff were incredibly attentive, polite and friendly. The drinks menu - especially the cocktails is very good too. Shezy who looked after us was brilliant!

Best meat iv ever had! Melt in your mouth cooked to perfection, opted for the sunday lunch option with all the trimmings which was delicious but the meat was so good i could of just ate a plate of that! Not even any need for it to be covered in sauces or gravy just amazing on its own. Our waitress Priya was so lovely and accomodating and even let us know when she was going on her break and who would be taking over her in that time until she was back. It was my birthday meal and they bought out a little added extra for me which was lovely! The malbec paired perfectly with the beef, beautiful setting and i like how you can preview the meat selection before choosing, the array of meats on display behind the glass cabinet was a really cool touch too.. will definately be back!

A fantastic evening at Pasture - Birmingham!
Firstly, a great place and wonderfully set with an amazing glass window dry curing meat area. We were sat directly opposite with a full view.
The food was delicious, we ordered far too many sides but couldn’t decide and wanted to try as much as possible …servings were very generous.
Our waiter (Kamran) was awesome and knew exactly what it means to serve with excellence. He educated us on the origins of the meat, spoke with us about the team at Pasture and how he valued being part of such a team…and we could see why!
All in all, a really top experience, which is comparable to any great restaurant we’ve visited in Birmingham. We’ll be back again soon and most definitely look out for Kamran to look after us.

Bristol - great meal celebrating father in laws birthday. Staff made a lovely fuss of him. Our server (Ellie) was great! Fab menu recommendations from her and service. Food was amazing. Had a fab evening. Thank you!

A very nice meal in good surroundings. This will be a regular location to have dinner when we return to Cardiff.

I have been to both Pasture & Parallel in Cardiff on a few occasions now and it never disappoints but last nights meal at Parallel certainly tops the lot!

We had a total of 9 dishes and 2 alcoholic drinks which each was better than the last!

The food was so full of flavour and the differing textures were brilliant! Both drinks were cold and crisp!

Our server Anna, had such a beautiful personality, very attentive but not too much. There’s nothing I hate more than enjoying a mouth full of food and the waiter asks if you are enjoying it… Anna waited for us to finish each plate before bringing the next one out so we wasn’t overloaded on the table.

Always a brilliant experience here and can’t wait to return! (We have a booking at Pasture tonight so cannot wait for that!)

Worst service I have ever heard of, picked my Mrs and friends up to learn they arrived for their 8pm booking which was booked 12 weeks ago, only to be left outside the restaurant in the rain for 45mins. They had the audacity to offer the party blankets, even worse when they were seated the restaurant split that party up in different rooms. Their main courses didn't even arrive until 10pm even though they were pre ordered before arrival. I honestly haven't heard of any worse service in all my living days...absolutly shocking

Had a lovely meal at Pasture last night to celebrate my sons 40th birthday.
We started the evening outside the restaurant having drinks, I don’t recall the waitress name but she was so attentive.
Our meal was booked for a specific time n we were shown to our tables downstairs. Sadly, 15 of us were sat on 2 tables apart from each other.
After having a word with Harry, our waiter for the evening, we were asked to give them 5mins so they could accommodate us appropriately.
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, Harry even made a special effort to find a charger for one of the children’s iPads to keep them entertained.
We all had the set menu, the pork belly starter was to die for as was the rump steak. I wasn’t so fussed on the lime and coconut dessert but that was mainly due to my own taste, everything was presented beautifully.
All in all, an enjoyable evening with delicious food and very accommodating staff.
Well done guys 🤩

Celebration Exam results

This was a family treat for my sons results day!

Shown to a nice table downstairs as it was lunchtime bit chilly but our server Glenn was helpful we ordered drinks and starters which were promptly delivered. Then there seemed to be a while before we got our steaks which looked fantastic my wife's and sons were lovely. However mine wasn't so great I'd gone for the Cote de boeuf as it was something I'd likes to try But even with a steak knife I couldn't cut through the sinewy!! I did put in a complaint and was told in an email that I should of complained at the time (easy to say) but I didn't want to make a scene besides my meal was already ruined. So there manager Chris Bunt best offer after we spent a small fortune on a lunch was to offer us a glass of fizz and a few nibbles the next time we booked!!! He surely hadn't read that it wasn't something we could afford on a weekly visit but judging by the 5 days response time I'm sure there not that bothered either!!!

At Big Feastival Friday August 25th and after spending best part of a £1000 with this establishment on food and drinks for a party of 16 and leaving a healthy tip besides, had an altercation with an uptight American outside who chastised our children without good reason. The American was upset because our children were being boisterous in a restaurant waiting area she was sitting in with her cheap friends, eating their own sandwiches.…even though she wasn’t even waiting for or booked into the restaurant! She didn’t like it when we chastised her back, and in keeping with the MO of the woke and perpetually offended, she then went and complained to security. The restaurant backed us up to our faces, about how rude her behaviour was, and how they hoped it hadn’t spoilt our day, but then allegedly told security something completely different resulting in us being “removed” from the festival for the rest of the day to “cool off”(even though by then it was 1/2 hour later and we were 1/2km away). Unbelievably two faced treacherous staff and manager. Thanks for that. Won’t be seeing us again.
