From being unable to raise my left arm to more than waist height to completing the Inca trail! From the initial diagnosis Kate was amazing, using several therapies to release a multitude of spasms which had left my shoulder virtually useless. After just 6 sessions I took my planned trip on the Inca trail ! At 4100m above sea level, getting to the top of the trail was a real slog and everything hurt apart from that shoulder. Kate is quite simply a genius!

I have just completed a course of treatment with Kate and I’m feeling like a new woman! I can walk down the stairs properly, wore heels without pain for the first time in years and actually successfully completed the GNR! Kate’s humour and compassion really helped a stressed out would-be runner. I can’t thank her enough!

I had a very painful shoulder, so I went to Physio and Therapy. I was diagnosed by Zamir with an inflamed rotator cuff. After a few sessions of trigger point therapy, I now feel as right as rain. Zamir used the trigger point machine very effectively and also gave me some exercises to do between sessions. I thought the value for money was excellent and the relief from pain is priceless anyway.

Soon after I had a nasty fall from my bicycle I went to see Kate. Although no bones were broken I could only walk with the aid of 2 crutches. She competently diagnosed the problem as well as an underlying condition. After a series of treatments I am now much improved and will soon be in a better position than I was before the crash.
I'm glad I went to see Kate and would recommend her to anyone.

Excellent and friendly service. I was struggling with an increasingly painful shoulder but Aaron quickly identified the problem and had me back out hiking after a few sessions.

I've had hip/back pain on and off for years and have been given a list of various causes by different health practitioners over the years. The pain had increased to the point I was no longer sleeping properly and was limping, so I booked to see Aron. From day one he gave me reassurance and relief, quickly identifying the cause of the pain and using various techniques to relieve the pain. He has taught me stretches and strengthening exercises to slow down future deterioration and keep the pain at bay. To understand what's going on and to be pain free is such a huge relief. Thank you.

I have lived with fibromyalgia for years. Fibromyalgia impacts all aspects of your life, and I have found my own way of coping. However I was suffering from increased pain in my back and pelvis, so it was recommended I saw a physiotherapist who had experience in treating patients with fibromyalgia. That's why I ended up contacting Hexham Physiotherapy, and I thankfully met Kate. My aim was to eventually be able to do low pact exercising without suffering "post exercise exhaustion". With the help of Kate I have achieved this. I was skeptical at the start, but Kate has sorted out alignment problems and very painful trigger points throughout my spine, and I am managing to do low impact exercises to help strengthen the muscles Kate has worked on. The great revelation for me was learning about pressure points and the impact they have on muscles. Thank you Kate and team for making my visits to your clinic such a positive experience. Joan.

Having recently taken up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the ripe old age of 38, I quickly found myself with an array of trigger points in my back which made rolling around on the floor whilst trying to avoid being choked even more uncomfortable than it would normally be.

Kate worked extremely hard to release some very persistent knots, and did so with such a dry sense of humour that, whilst I’d stop short of saying I looked forward to getting needled, I certainly didn’t mind it because I spent so much of each session laughing.

When she was able to release what we had been calling the Queen knot, she was so genuinely pleased that it was obvious she cares about her patients and wants them to be pain free.

I would have no hesitation suggesting people go see Kate - in fact, I have been doing so - and will be straight back to see her myself next time I do something silly!

I have since been able to get back to training Jiu Jitsu, and have had my first preventative/maintenance massage session with Lee, who was also awesome. He listened carefully to the history, and explained everything he was doing and why, being sure to check that the pressure was right for me.

I would highly recommend the team at Physio & Therapy.

Been having troubles with my lower back due to running, went to Physio and Therapy UK this morning and saw physio Aaron. He was very welcoming and very helpful, brilliant massage and gave me exercises and stretches to help relieve the pain. Will 100% be back!

As someone who has suffered with back pain for many years, Kate's needle therapy has been a revelation, often bringing instantaneous relief following spasm and helping with alignment and posture moving forwards. For such a small intervention, the results are amazing and lasting.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I have been in a lot of pain for nearly two years, since the birth of my third child. I didn’t know what was wrong with me! I’ve been seeing Kate for a few weeks now and each week, my pain level has decreased a little bit more and I’ve gradually become more comfortable and more mobile. Kate is lovely, I feel very comfortable with her and confident in her knowledge and skills. Dry Needle/Pressure Point Therapy is very quick and affective, would highly recommend. However, in the most recent session I had, Kate manually manipulated my lower back and the pain in my coccyx has completely and utterly disappeared. I’m actually finding it hard to get my head around the miraculous recovery! Thanks so much Kate, I’ll get to Pilates one day - I promise 😊

Had another visit today to see Kate with a few issues, needless to say feel 100 times better couldn’t recommend Kate enough 🥇

Pilates- had done Pilates elsewhere before but felt this session had more emphasis on control of movement and breathing
Acupuncture + trigger point therapy - had both before at Physio + therapy. The fact that I was willing to have them again is testament to the benefit it makes to me.
Deep tissue massage- never had this before anywhere. As the session progressed I felt the benefit of muscles relaxing and a specific ligament attachment injury site getting "softer"

I had a free assessment with Kate, and to be honest was sceptical about whether it would be an actual diagnosis/treatment or just a hard sell promoting the paid-for treatments. I was wrong - Kate went into lots of detail about my leg issue and did some treatment which I felt was effective. I've now joined her pilates classes which are great.

Can't rate Kate highly enough having just completed a program of physio to address a long term issue I've had with my knee. After only a few minutes she diagnosed the problem with my IT Band and set about rectifying it where other physio's I've visited completely missed it!!! Highly professional and effective, as were all the staff. Thanks Kate

Had my free assesment with Kate today for my knee,brilliant ,she knew exactly what was going on with my knee,sent a letter to my G.P requesting a scan to be done for a torn menicus. I can't thank her enough as the pain has been excruitiating,i came out feeling so relieved THANKYOU KATE !!!julie milburn

Suffered with back pain for over 10 years so was a bit sceptical beforehand. However, after my appointment with Kate I honestly couldn’t believe the difference, she knew what was wrong straight away. I now don’t feel like I’m 100 getting out of bed on a morning.

I’d had several weeks of pain in my hip which i’d tried to just “run off” but that didn’t work (seemingly I also had a large number of other aches and pains that I’d just put down to general wear and tear and had just gotten used to the aches).
I eventually succumbed and sought help.
So thankful that I did though.
Lovely practice, nice and relaxed atmosphere, and helpful, friendly staff.
Sounds cliche, but after one session with Kate, I stood up from the treatment bed, and felt de-stressed, and so much “lighter” as there were no more massive knots, stress points, and I felt amazing!
Can’t wait to get back out running again!!
Certainly cannot recommend them enough. Even for just aches and pains that you’ve just gotten used to after long periods of time, go for a visit, you’ll be amazed at how much better you feel after just one treatment!!
