This company is not set up to fight for the rights of poor, hard-done-by photographers; it is set up to vexatiously extract money from small businesses and charities.

They are not the rights holders to images but are undertaking a fishing expedition in the hope that they extort money.

Picrights is a scam.
The definition of scam: "a dishonest scheme".
Picrights will contact you and claim copyright infringement for pictures on your website. They will demand payment but do not provide details of the "infringement". Demanding payment on a false premise sounds like a scam to me.

They are scammers. They pretended to be a copyright holder of the picture of my friend (she is a real copyright holder)🤣 totally fraud. Hopefully someone will sue them!

Mandato lettera da studio legale che ci segue, e la risposta è stata. I nostri sistemi hanno scambiato il suo sito per un altro.

Morale è un modello di business paragonabile ad una truffa.

Ho ricevuto un'e-mail da parte di questa azienda, accusandomi di un uso improprio di immagini e richiedendo un risarcimento di denaro per presunte violazioni del copyright. Desidero condividere la mia esperienza per mettere in guardia gli altri dalle pratiche discutibili di questa azienda.

Mafia extorsionadora. Te reclaman cantidades desorbitadas por uso de fotos a las que no ponen firmas ni copyright, para que las uses y luego te reclamen

Mi viene da ridere..........sono stato contattato per richieste di denaro per l' utilizzo di alcune immagini che dicevano essere protette da loro copyright, in realtà si trattava di immagini di esclusiva pubblicazione e proprietà dell' azienda della quale sono rivenditore ufficiale !!!!!!!!! Fate attenzione a questi individui !!!!

The man I spoke to just now took into account my situation and then made arrangements to make it affordable and gave me enough time to get it dealt with.

They're doing a job and in my opinion they've done it well.

Pic rights made it easy to deal with and I appreciate it actually.

My name's Damien, I had a claim against me and yet despite this my feelings towards pic rights are more positive than negative at this time.

Upon reading other reviews id like to inform you all that having done the research I can confirm pic rights is a legitimate company, not a scam.

They also don't strongarm you, they didn't strongarm me in fact they immediately tried to understand the situation and despite my rude tone to my voice spoke to me with the upmost of respect.

Shakedown company isn't even a law firm, and isn't in the U.S. Why would USA Today use these clowns to scour social media and demand money from a tiny fraction of FB users who happen to have someone post part of an image they claim is theirs on your FB site? Makes no sense. You want me to pay 600 bucks for the 20 people who saw the photo? Why me? Why not the millions and millions of other posts, many for business reasons? hmm? Gimmie a break. CLOWNSHOW! If this is real, I'm unsubscribing to USAToday and imagn. Pathetic.

Gente che va a soldi!
A metà strada tra la minaccia in legalese e la rapina da strada, questi signori si dedicano alla riscossione coatta di presunti usi impropri di fotografie.
Nonostante le spiegazioni/giustificazioni fornite insistono fino alla minaccia legale per poi sparire di fronte ad una controparte consapevole e competente.

Thanks for all the good information. We are a small Rotary club that has received 5 letters demanding we pay a total of $13,007 for using photos that go back as far as 2012. We are a small club in a small country town in the West of New South Wales.

I am our bulletin editor which goes to 29 members only. They found 8 pics mostly jokes that I get off Facebook. I have uploaded several hundred since 2012!

I have sent their letters to our Rotary legal department. Can anyone here let us know if they appear on Facebook does that make the photos on Facebook available for downloading?

These people are low life scum and we will fight them all the way as we raise funds for local charities and obviously never used any photos to make money ever. We work hard to raise a few $ at BBQs street raffles etc.

esigerei da lei una comunicazione firmata, con cortese esposizione del suo riveritissimo nome e cognome,
in modo da sapere se ho a che fare con un tecnico informatico, un giurista, un dipendente a termine, un avventuriero o chissà chi altro, fino ad oggi occultato, mimetizzato dietro a una sigla, un marchio, un camouflage.
Dietro a un puerile espediente che non vuol dire e non significa niente a chi come me si espone INVECE con nome e cognome, semplicemente perché - a differenza di lei - non ha nulla da nascondere.
E' anche una questione di educazione.
Vorrei anche sapere se il suo anonimato dipende dalla consapevolezza che le sue richieste estorsive potrebbero interessare qualche Procura della Repubblica.
Mando per conoscenza questa email anche all'Ansa, per sapere se i responsabili dell'Agenzia conoscano e avallino queste opache condotte.
E' infatti manifesto che la richiesta sia del tutto infondata (come già precisato nella mia precedente comunicazione), evidenziandosi come frutto di goffe interrogazioni dei motori di ricerca animate da illecito intento.

Prima di agire nelle opportune sedi per le necessarie informative, resto in attesa di sua civile e responsabile doverosa integrazione sui soggetti cui imputare la condotta che ivi si riscontra.

Non sono una vittima di truffe romantiche che ama perdere tempo dietro a richieste di denaro da soggetti simulati e nascosti.
Quindi se non ha nulla da temere dalla giustizia italiana, la invito formalmente a dichiararsi con nome e cognome e domicilio italiano, per gestire secondo le regole del nostro ordinamento questa opaca vicenda.

Niente di personale, anche perché, finché lei rimane anonimo non ho neanche la possibilità di considerarla come persona.
Internet è in questo secolo quello che erano le vie di comunicazione nel passato.
Infestate, e questo è Storia, da soggetti loschi e di malaffare che nascosti o con fattezze travisate ordivano imboscate al malcapitato pellegrino.
Si vada a guardare anche il significato etimologico di triviale e vedrà che ha a che fare con "trivio", l'incrocio cioè di strade.
Si qualifichi con nome e cognome (non le chiedo i carichi pendenti) e poi le consentirò di ricevere NUOVAMENTE le mie argomentazioni sul merito delle sue assurde richieste.

Pity you can’t give zero stars. We are a non league community club and used a photo giving to us from another local team to promote a charity game over a year ago.
We explained what the situation was with little sympathy in reply and charged £90. The image apparently was PA Image copyright who they represent.
Threatened with legal action if we weren’t compliant.

This PIC scammers hacked my travel website and linked some politician figure inmy website.I had no idea and saw that picture linked only after getting letter from PIC.This PIC is blaming me of copyright violation for use of pictures which i never did nor this picture is related to my work.I ignored there letters as i thought its fake but now they have sent another letter via some law firm.This company should be banned for scamming people for money..
