Prior to the launch of their "new and improved" website, I never had any problem with Pinecone Research. The surveys came once in a while and I usually got $3 for about 10 minutes of my time. Wasn't getting rich but I had the time so why not? Now, I get several surveys a day and qualify for about one in 100 and I noticed the rewards are far less for longer surveys. After I redeemed points for two $10 Amazon cards, I was issued the first one but a freeze was put on my account until such time as it was determined my account hadn't been "hacked." Hacked? The first card came in the mail within a couple of weeks but it took me 15 (yes 15!) email inquiries and lots of bogus responses from the ever-present Karen Scott (who signs all the emails you get from this shady outfit) before I finally got the second card. It took so long and was so frustrating, I'm done with this sketchy company. I have no idea what happened, but before the "new and improved" website, I liked the company. Now, they're straight up trash.

I'm honestly very angry I've plenty of times now not getting my points for completed surveys at the end put in all my information about who lives in house ages submit it says disqualified are you kisd me I completed it not once more then twice

Everything! Royal waste of time ..useless emails..can not earn & points keep expiring if you had a chance before to complete when older version was around..
Sucks & no way to call or send message lije the would ever respond anymore! Worst ever site!!

Ive used this platform for years. It was good at some point, now its straight trash. Today 9/24/2025 I have tried 6 or more surveys and have been disqualified for them all. Everytime I say that I am black it immediately disqualifies me. I have the screenshots for today. Im done using this crap

I've been with pinecone for years, I've always loved them.. but since they updated its been garbage! Recently I was able to finally do surveys.. but once I would complete them 100% (I have screen shots of the thank you message that you get when you complete a survey) but when it redirectes me.. it says i don't qualify.. thats absolutely BS. I took the survey I finished it, I should get what is owed to me. This has happened more than 8 times now. Time wasted and I have put in so much energy to get them to reply back to me.. but they're not.. give me what you owe and I'll leave.

I have contacted them several times due to the fact my log in no longer works and I have not received a response. I have points in my account that I cannot access. It is very disappointing as it is as though I didn’t get paid for a job I have completed. I have been with Pinecone since the early 2000’s. As of late I stopped getting emails but could access the site but not now. My membership number was my log in and that no longer works. When I request an email to change password nothing happens. I’m very disappointed and feel like they have taken advantage of me.

I was sent to Pinecone by NielsenIQ (yet another poorly rated company on Trust Pilot) when I didn't receive payment for a lengthy diary survey. I was pleasantly surprised when I immediately got a response that a ticket number had been issued for my case and I'd hear from them very shortly. Three weeks later and three subsequent follow up inquiries from me, nothing.

if I could give it a 0 I would. Beware of this site, I just cancelled. Be sure to read their policies in detail. They cancel points after a year which you earned, yet you have to earn $10 to redeem and I stopped qualifying for any surveys . This is unfair, just be advised.

I've used pinecone for the past 5 years and always found it to be the most reliable survey website. I often got selected for product testing as well which I took very seriously and enjoyed, but now they've taken away their PayPal payment option, only do gift cards, boot you from every survey (often at the end when they've collected your information 🙄), and bombard you with constant emails for surveys that expire within minutes. The cherry on top is them harassing you if you can't complete a survey in a while.

I've been a member of pinecone research for years and loved it never screened out tasks took 20 minutes at most and a flat rate of $3.00 and some of the surveys were actually fun to take was a great site to earn from. And then they switched it up and brought in a whole lot more, more surveys sounds great only I've tried taking 7 different surveys in the past 2 days and everyone I was screened out some before any questions were asked/answered. And recently I did a at home product test did he 2 or 3 surveys tested he product for a week and then got 3 dollars for it I don't completely remember but I know me and I'm not about to do a product test for 3 bucks but support from my understanding didn't look into it very hard researcher was contacted to my knowledge, so it was a waste of my time. It probably time to move on from Pinecone it's not worth the hassle especially since it used to be a decent place to make a couple dollars here and there. Not anymore now customer service is different screen outs are different and its kind of all around lame.

They send survey invitations to me but I am NOT allowed to do them. I am rejected before I even see the first question. When I first started with them, you could cash out at $3. That became $5 and is now $10. That would be fine--except they stop letting you have any surveys so that you can reach the $10 mark. I have repeatedly asked them to just let me cash out the money I HAVE earned and I will be done with them. They will NOT do it. So they get to keep the money I already earned. I have contacted both them and their parent company--NielsenIQ--but nothing. I will have to report them to BBB and the Attorney Generals of their state and mine. That is a sad reflection on what was once a dependable survey site.

I have done surveys for years for Pinecone and always got paid, but recently they have changed. When I earned a gift card they never sent it, I have contacted them 3 times getting no response from them. Not a reliable company anymore.

I used to do pinecone research surveys all the time and I was able to trade my points in for actual money. Now I can't ever qualify for a survey. What a ripoff. Not sure what happened to this company.

I've been a member for many years. The past few months, they've gone down hill. Every survey I attempt either says I don't qualify or 99% say it's not available even when I attempt it as soon as I get it. I've emailed them numerous times with no response. Their emails are just annoying now.

Pinecone has changed and not for the better. I have received around 120 surveys in the last month. I was only able to do 2. Either they are already closed or I don't qualify. Huge waste of time and disappointed on what they have become.

SINCE 8/1/2025 PINE CONE WENT TO A NEW AND SO-CALLED UPDATED WEBPAGE/WEBSITE. THEY HAVE SENT ME 40 LINKS AND SURVEYS TO TAKE. NO ONE.....AND I MEAN NOT ONE I CLICK ON WAS AVAILABLE. THEY WERE ALL CLOSED. THAT EVERY ONE CLOSED. THEIR SO-CALLED IMPROVED SITE IS A JOKE. FURTHERMORE I FILED A TICKET TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. WEEKS AGO....AND NO ANSWER. I CAN NOT COLLECT MY BALANCE OF $7.50. THE LIGHTS ARE ON...BUT NO ONE IS AT HOME. THIS HAS BECOME A SCAM. SIGH-UP FOR ANGUISH. THIS SITE IS UNPROFESSIONAL, UNSATISFACTORY, SLOPPY AND LOOSE. STAY AWAY

Never qualify for surveys and if you do...be ware! You have to accumulate a significant amount to cash out BUT the points expire and are removed if not used within a certain time frame!!! You'd have better luck playing the lottery!!

Completed 2-3 surveys and was told I did not qualify after providing feedback on several products for 15-20 minutes.

The redemption button doesn't even work. I've tried for a week now. I'm guessing the owner sold the company because no one is responding with answers. All generic. They use to be so responsive and caring. Don't waste your time with this company!!!!!!!

I have to agree with everyone else. THis site used to be the best site and easiest to make some money. Now a lot of the surveys I don't qualify for or they will only give you 50 points for 20 minutes when it used to be 300 points for 15 minutes. I'm thinking of leaving this.
