The best move I ever made

The best move I ever made. The other homeowners are so friendly and the apartments are amazing. There's a great range of activities to get involved in and the onsite bistro is the perfect place to meet up and enjoy some lovely refreshments. Just off there for lunch now!

Finches House Open Day

Attended the Platinum Skies open day at Finches House Retirement Village, Salisbury and had a great time. The buildings are lovely and the staff were very friendly.

I have been the chef of Taunton…

I have been the chef of Taunton (quantock house) for 6 months and had the most amazing review and feedback from our residents…however there are issues with the management poor standards of compliance with health and safety over food storage as well as abusive attitude.
I have been reporting equipment failures and the potential for cross contamination since November 2024, since then I m have been meet with abusive and unhelpful management practices from a well known management individual for his fluffiness and childish approach and attitude.
I wish the residents good luck and to be vigilant and aware of the people who you put your trust in.

Lovely properties, terrible 'event' fees....

I have a relative in the Platinum Skies Sherborne development. Whilst their flat is lovely and they are very happy there, the other residents are wonderful and the staff very helpful and friendly, there are significant problems with the shared ownership/management aspect. PS transferred management to FirstPort (see their reviews!) which is another subject, but any prospective purchaser should very carefully read the extremely small print regarding so-called event fees (i.e. when someone moves or dies). PS charge 10% of the FULL value of the property, NOT just on the part owned by the resident. This can amount to many thousands of pounds and is iniquitous. The company are benefitting from someone's death, and to even charge this fee, let alone 10% of the FULL value is appalling. Flats in particular are not selling (and the relatives have to pay full rent until the property is sold), and local estate agents won't touch them. Beware anyone thinking of buying a Platinum Skies property....
