Fabulous Hike - Wimbledon to Richmond
I joined the hike from Wimbledon to Richmond & it was honestly the most wholesome experience.
Met some interesting individuals, laughed a lot & got to see some wonderful view of the beautiful scenery around Richmond.
The park was my favourite. With the stags, horses and swans. Just magical.
Our hike guide Kyle was fantastic! Kept us motivated and entertained!
Would highly recommend this.

Hi All - I would recommend - particularly if getting back out there and ones comfort zone (for want of a better expression) - we had a table, a good mix, everyone turned up, plus we mixed with the other PLY tables a Brewdog, a range of people, ages, backgrounds - I love an excellent and eclectic mix - thoroughly enjoyed just chatting openly and freely…we also had an after party in the nearby lucky voice…it was late and a group of us wanted to carry on…so we did…an excellent evening..got home in the early hours…look forward to the next one

Mainly getting matched with people much…
Mainly getting matched with people much older than me, and now they’re charging for brunch as well, which is a bit of a joke. There have also been quite a few no-shows. They took salsa off previously, and I had to keep messaging back and forth with them just to get an update and eventually get a refund for the salsa ticket.
The auto-renewal was another issue. I cancelled it myself, but the website was poorly designed and it wasn’t clear whether I’d actually cancelled everything. I was 100% sure I had done it, and I messaged them straight away—within a minute of being told about the 3-month renewal—that I didn’t want it. Despite all the back-and-forth chatting and explaining the situation, they still refused to refund me.
I never used their services at any point after that charge, so they didn’t actually suffer any financial loss from me cancelling. I’ve now informed my bank.. still haven't refunded myself. Honestly, the whole experience has been a complete waste of time. Dont RECOMMEND. As seeing other reviews mentioning the VERY confusing cancellation process and useless T&Cs and not refunding . just avoid this hassle. Algorithm is faked.

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry to hear the nights weren't quite the fit you'd hoped for. We match people by age and area wherever we can, though on some evenings the mix is harder to get spot on, and it's something we're always working to improve.
On the subscription, our records show the renewal went through as scheduled rather than a cancellation being missed, so we do have to be fair and consistent with our terms there. Great way of socialising and letting people genuinely connect in a thoughtful light hearted way. PLY does a great job of setting the hosts up for success and making it easy for guests to attend and enjoy themselves.

I become a PLY Social regular, i signed up for 4 experiences first one was film, sunday brunch, drinks and recently was bowling. TBH my first 3 experiences was not good, people had different interests and don’t wanna engage really it feels like they just come to meet and don’t wanna make a real connection but on my bowling experience really i like it so much the game, i got connected with a person, we becomes friends and i hope so this connection will last longer, so be patient sometimes things take time and one thing you should work on add more exciting activities and also try to engage people based on their interests that will be helpful for people to make real connections, thanks and i recommend it to everyone🤍

I was matched with 5 other men and one woman, with no profile pictures or any description about themselves. Definitely not a balanced nor safe app for friendship, canceled the booking and membership straight away.

Thank you for your feedback, though I'd like to add some important context.
This review was posted more than 24 hours before the event was due to take place, so it had not yet happened. Bookings don't close until 5pm on the day of the event, and we very often fill remaining spaces with additional guests right up until that point. The group you saw was therefore still forming, not final.
Safety is genuinely important to us. We stay available on WhatsApp throughout the entire event, and we only host in partner venues that have been vetted. On balance, while we aim for an even gender split and it usually works out that way, numbers can vary week to week and we can't guarantee an exact 50/50 mix for any single event. At the time you cancelled there were already two women in the group, not one.
We'd have happily explained all of this and moved you to a different event had you messaged us, but we didn't hear from you before the booking and membership were cancelled. If you'd be open to it, please reach out and we'll gladly help you find an event that's a better fit.

so i booked their world cup watch…
so i booked their world cup watch party. the entire premise was changed from what both the photos AND the description described - a living room, comfy vibes to kick back and chill with others. and curated matching with likeminded individuals - not only did they change the venue to a pub last second (whats the point now? the experience is ruined) they also matched me at utter random with people nothing like me...the only two people i thought seemed cool left near immediately. also there are no photos of the people youre supposed to actually meet - how on earth do you gauge anything? its sloppy, lazy and bordering unethical because the value for money is zero. We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. We did look into your booking, and our records show the reservation was cancelled before the event went ahead, so we weren't able to host you on the day. We wanted to gently mention that, as some of the detail here describes the event as though you'd attended. You appear to have had a positive conversation with the team who offered you a credit for a different event, so this review over 2 weeks later was unexpected.
A couple of things worth clarifying for anyone reading. Attendee profiles, including photos, are visible ahead of each event, so there is information there to help you get a feel for who you'll meet. And the matching is based on the profile details guests share with us, so the two points here sit a little at odds with one another.
On the venue, this one was moved because more people booked than we could comfortably host in someone's living room, which we felt was the right call to give everyone a good night. Guests also received a free drink to make up for the change of setting.
