I took a travel insurance policy (inbound UAE visit for non-residents) but accidentally used wrong dates.
According to their cancellation guidelines, I can take another policy with correct dates and request a cancellation. But, here is the catch.
They make the payments process quite easy while taking customer's money. One can use anyone's card (other than the policy holder) to pay for the policy.
When we want to cancel, they will not simply revert the card transaction which is quite easy to do. Instead, they make it intentionally bureacratic to avoid retunds. The insured has to submit bank statements, cancelled cheques, etc. in their name.
Please avoid their service if you can. Use the insurance companies directly (no aggregator) or make sure that you are details are correct. Also from what I read, claims process is not easy too (this may need to do with specific insurers but policybazaar may not bother).

Policy Bazar is a complete SCAM!!! Once you make a payment, they fail to issue your insurance and then disappear entirely. Their call center becomes unreachable immediately after the purchase, and all communication channels—platform messages, email, WhatsApp—are ignored. There is zero customer support once they have your money.
I purchased car comprehensive insurance a week ago, and to date, neither the policy has been issued nor has any refund been processed. This level of conduct is unacceptable and highly misleading.

I purchased my car insurance through Policybazaar and was promised a 50 AED Amazon voucher as part of the offer. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing.
After the purchase, I followed up multiple times regarding the voucher. Each time, I was told to wait 28–48 hours. However, it has now been over one month, and I still have not received the voucher or any proper update.
This lack of follow-through and repeated delays have been frustrating. I hope the company improves its customer service and ensures that promised offers are delivered on time.

If it were possible, I would give less than 1 star—they don’t even deserve that.
I sent them all my personal and vehicle details to get a quotation. A week later, I asked them to double-check if there was a cheaper option. They said no, that this was the best offer, so I made the payment.
After that, they asked me to send the vehicle inspection pass document before they could proceed. I completed the inspection, passed it, and sent them the document. Then, when I tried contacting them on WhatsApp, they didn’t respond. I called their call center; they told me to wait while they checked, and then after 2 minutes, they hung up on me. I couldn’t reach them again afterward.
They made me wait there for an hour and a half, and in the end, they told me they would refund my previous payment, but I would need to pay 30% more. Even though they admitted in their messages that it was their agent’s mistake for not properly reviewing my details, they did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience they caused.
Since it was the last day before my registration expired, I had to get insurance from another company the next day—at a price even lower than their original quote—and I still ended up paying a penalty. Despite clearly acknowledging that the fault was on their side, they took no responsibility.

My advice to anyone dealing with Policybazaar:
Get EVERYTHING in writing before you sign anything. Do not rely on calls. A lot of information may be shared over the phone, but unless it is confirmed over email or in writing, it becomes very difficult to rely on later when raising a claim.
In my experience, I was provided with documents by Mr. Atul Khaturia that were not signed by me and required close scrutiny, as they did not align with what I had on record at the time of my policy. This raised serious concerns for me, and I had to rely on my own documentation and records when proceeding with my claim.
Always review every document carefully, verify everything independently, and do not feel pressured to proceed unless everything is clearly documented in writing.

100% Flop. Not supportive for Health Insurance. I was trying to get a reimbursement claim since 3rd January 2026. Nothing happened till now. Always saying under process and some time, they put my call on hold and get disconnected. No answer after that. So better to approach other Brokers, so that, they will take responsibility and support to get claim immediately.

For Reambursment they will take time and they this bill is double entry like several issue they will tell

I had had nivabupa insurance and I have paid every year 34000 x 4 years without any claim. When my wife had cataract surgery when I applied for Reambursment I had theis experience. They told pls send some bills, later after aploading after a week pls send us a.cancelled cheque copy clear , which i have already send this for second time this is how they are cheating
In ivision eye hospital .thrissur kerala i we had the frist appointment itself they informed us about niva bupa. Sorry sir We are not tieup you can bring any insurance is accepted
