I'm doing an application to get a scholarship for the program. The responses were vague and referred me to their customer service number which after waiting hours, no one answered.

I appreciate that the instructors were very informative and also went over practice problems regularly during class. Instructors were very knowledgeable.

I like the format of the sample problems and practice questions tod do while going through the book, but I think the execution could be better. The practice question within each book chapter have several questions that don’t cover the information from that actual chapter. There is a well sample problem in chapter 7 before wells have been addressed by the book. The first water homework had a lime softening problem which was not covered in the water chapters. Some of the items I need more review for, like pumps and Henry’s law, don’t have any example problems in the book. There are several formulas in the reference manual that weren’t addressed in the water section, like the multi path pipeline equation, the NPSHA equation, and Venturi meters. The book has lots of equations that aren’t included in the reference manual at all. Variables aren’t always defined when they are given in an equation. Sometimes values are taken from tables, but those tables aren’t referenced or are included in an appendix that can’t be easily reached within the e-book.

I ordered my book Friday and paid for 2-day air shipping to ensure it arrived before a trip. I received an order confirmation email, and no other communication. On Tuesday I called to verify it was on its way and would arrive shortly. I was instead told there was a “hold” on my account, and it had not shipped. When I asked, I was given no reason for the hold. When I then asked for accelerated shipping since the delay was not on my part, I was told the only way was for me to pay more for faster shipping. So, I should receive my book later than the original 2 day air shipping, but had to pay more for even more expedited shipping. I feel that I should have been refunded my shipping cost so I pay instead for the speed of shipping I received.

Prof. Sadoff was incredibly knowledgeable, he was great at explaining topics and any questions that we had. He moved a little quick but having the recorded sessions was very helpful. The practice problems seemed harder than the actual test was. It was discouraging leading up to the test, but once I got into the test it felt like a breeze.

I tried 5 times to pay the book material through the PPI portal and all of them failed, because of a error on how the system was reading the billing address. After the 5th attempt, I gave up and asked a friend to buy the books through another channel (Amazon).

Hi, I placed an order on 8/2/2023 and payed the extra for the 2nd day air shipping ($30.74). My packet got sent somewhere else and instead I got it 7 days later from when I was supposed to get it and all I got refunded was $5.02.
Was very disappointed with this service. And other times even when I buy the hard copy of the book, I've got the option of downloading it electronically as well but not this time.

James Mirabile was a great instructor for the Electrical Engineering Power - PE course. Very knowledgeable on the topics, and overall had great tips for the exam. Passed the exam on the first try with mostly just prep from the course. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend signing up for the course and studying for 3-4 weeks before classes start as it difficult if not impossible to keep up with classes while carrying out your day-to-day life. I highly recommend taking the course with Professor Art.

Even though there are too many things to read before taking the exam, the breadth part of this course with Mr. Art has reminded me of many topics and got good materials and examples, but I believe that some of the reading materials (on the PPI website) were deep enough to be in the depth part of other Civil PE disciplines.
For the depth part of this course, Mr. Mohammad Abbasi was a very good instructor, and understood and explained the materials very well.

Enrolled in the S.E. Exam prep course. Mohammad Abbasi was the instructor and he was very good. Very patient with the lectures and our questions. He thoroughly understands the material and explained it well. Granted, outside study time is definitely also required and expected, but the materials provided help me feel more comfortable and prepared to take the exam.

I was hoping for more video examples showing step by step solutions. I am a visual person so I really need that. But I do appreciate that there is a lot of online practice problems that is similar to the actual exam.

The on demand materials are organized poorly… instructor of breadth was not good, basic reading every word from slides and solutions. Will not continue subscription.

The website is clunky to use while mobile, the chat feature does not offer appropriate choices of topics to discuss & there is no information provided on shipping status through the shipping status page.

It was very hard to solve the issue. They said lie to me that the instructor is Mahmoud and I registered my class for this instructor. Once I sent my screenshot as proof then they accepted. Now, instead of my depth part of my class they transferred my both classes (breath and depth) to another date. So, I have no access to my breath part of the class as it was scheduled at the beginning to track my learning. Their live chat says that they are available until 7:00pm. But, as soon as they collect my information at 5:00 pm the system says no one is available at this time and the chat ends. PPI need more updates on their system, communications and instructors. It’s really hard to understand the heavy accent of the instructor.

While the website is (usually) easy to use, the content often has typos and doesn't feel like it was proofread, especially in quizzes. Used this to study for an exam and it is largely supplemental and not any more beneficial. In fact, taking the license exam's practice exam are more helpful both in style and the feedback/explanations for why answers are correct. Use the money you would for these courses for the reference materials instead.

Update: As most of these reviews have after posting, someone from PPI gives a generic response, then they email you and ask for more info, and you provide it and then they just don't give any response from there. Looks like a common theme in the other reviews; buyer beware.

Testing facility was terrible, super loud and not able to concentrate, they had people walking on the adjacent corridor and a classroom full of people I could hear from my station, terrible! I am usually able to finish practice tests in 1.5hrs roughly it took me 3 hrs and was not able to finish, people at the facility didn’t do anything about the noise either when I brought it up, terrible experience

I have emailed multiple times but get NO response. I am studying for PDD (ARE 5.0) and one of the videos (electrical) is incorrect, it uses an incorrect formula ( I checked this out) and some of the Qbank questions require multiple answers but only allow one answer to be input! It would be nice to get an answers to my E-mails.

I paid for the fe civil review and I have zero access to the study material. I also paid for 2 day shipping of the equation sheet and it has yet to arrive.
