I have been using Proboards for two years now. Proboards is consistently assailed by website-breaking errors and slow connectivity. Bottlenecking is an incredibly common thing here that free website admins themselves have no way to alleviate, but among that are numerous server errors that hit without warning and cause irreversible damage to your website's statistics and traffic. The staff will respond to you in a reasonable amount of time on the support website, but issues are sometimes not resolved quickly, if it is resolved at all(the problems are often reoccurring, indicating that the true issue is not being addressed). It will take hours, days possibly, and all of the stats and traffic you lose during that time cannot be recovered. Sometimes it feels as if ongoing issues are simply ignored, and you will be talked down to by the staff members if you try to bring up the reoccurring issues.
I love using proboard's simple system, but sometimes I wonder if all of these errors, as well as the disconnect between staff and consumers, is worth it. I have used free website platforms that are just as easy to use that don't come with all of these errors and other baggage.
