I would rate zero if I could. Terrible customer service. A "desktop" version you used to own and didnt have to upgrade if you were a small business now forced to their monthly $$$ subscription that has gone up $25 a month for the last two years!! Customer service is absolutely abysmal. I had negotiated a small break for a year and the next day I get an email that its gone up $25 DESPITE my long conversation online with them. Hours long holding and they just do not care about give you the same long garbage reply about necessary increases. up by 50% in two years??? Totally disgusted. Looking for alternatives
Worst Accounting Software & Company
This is by far one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Their systems feel outdated and poorly designed, and their technical support is completely ineffective. Even the simplest issues turn into a frustrating ordeal because their support staff either cannot or will not resolve basic problems.
They are unable to competently assist with account purchases or provide accurate account information, which should be routine for a company providing financial software. Instead, customers are left wasting hours trying to get help that never actually solves the problem.
I have been a customer for more than 30 years, and the level of service has been terrible for at least the last 5–7 years, steadily getting worse with time. What used to be a reliable company has become frustrating to deal with at nearly every level. At this point, it is clear that customer support and customer satisfaction are simply not priorities for them anymore. I strongly recommend finding a more modern and responsive company that actually values its customers.
...WASTE OF MY TIME...
Customer service is kind but they waste your time every time you get on a call with them. You tell them what you need and after an hour of trying to do the thing...they cannot do the thing...WASTE OF MY TIME...Every time! UGH! Sick of this monopoly of a company that rips of clients and accountants!

Our company has been using QuickBooks for over 25 years and although it has been a good accounting/business program, every time we have had a technical issue, we have received little to no support from Intuit!
We have an IS person who takes care of our computers internally in our company, and every time he has reached out to QB's they come back with a poor excuse for the cause of their technical issue.
After 3 weeks of failure and multiple test that do not work, our problem has not been resolved!
We are ready for a new program!

Stay FAR AWAY. They are overpriced, zero customer support and riddled with bugs. We lost a lot of money due to their card processing bugs. On top of it all, every time we call it's a 1-2hr wait time. I would give them zero stars if I could.

I have been using intuit turbo tax for years and there was never an issue. This year the format has changed as well as them requiring you to pay them vs. the IRS. I found after finishing the forms the filing became complicated. It wouldn’t file my taxes without wanting my bank information. I am unclear why they needed it since I have always paid to the IRS directly. It wouldn’t let me proceed without the information. I tried every which way but no filing without it. When I finally did it a form pop up saying I was applying for a loan with a 23% interest rate. I don’t want a loan. I just wanted to file my taxes which they had already taken $148 to file. At this point I am not be granted a refund and they are unwilling to file my taxes. I don’t have the full amount due but again. I was going to work with the IRS directly. At this point they won’t file my taxes. I am extremely upset. They say I didn’t read the fine print but that being how can they refuse to file my taxes unless I take a loan out with them? I have contacted the BBB to resolve but warn everyone stay away.

Intuit should get a minus 10
This company should get a minus 10. They own TurboTax so you get forced into the Inuit website while doing taxes and then signed in across numberous platforms. None of them connect to each other and they make it nearly impossible to cancel, at least not unless they waste several hours of your time.
Quickbooks Cost more than we ever saved.
I am sole proprietor with a complex business with several product lines.
We were very happy Xero customers but switched to Quickbooks to save on monthly expenses and because it *promised* to be more integrated.
We have lost thousands of dollars due to Intuit and Quickbooks negligence and dishonest business practices.
Here we are 18 months in and not only do none of our integrations work as advertised, Quickbooks has lost our 2025 accounting data.
On top of that, the product is nothing but one big advertisement to get users to spend more money on services.
I cannot begin to express my frustration with Intuit, it's tech support, or it's business. As one small business owner to another, I highly advise looking at their competitors before spending a single dollar with Intuit.

if I could. I would rate negative. they hold my money more than 15K for more than 2 months. still fighting to get it back. I have been talking to more than 10 customer service to get my money back. each time different story. no refund to my client. no check to me. and I unsubscribed my service.and they still charge me on my credit card.

tragic n manageable
what ever this, legally allowed brand called, deserves a 0 with a big ban branded on it. I came to complain and regret not reading reviews. Nothing since 2006 has changed on my end "believe it or not" and until 2020 I got returns. I got 1 check for 9 dollars lol"900 pennies" for 2022 and everything froze since im suppose to get a check because something went wrong in my past. Theirs no actually office, no direct line, and just found out, this is not a US system. world ran taxes SMH. bet this a set up for future take aways.
Every time QBO change things, the experience gets worse
Every time QuickBooks change things, my user experience gets worse. I am at the point now where I don't even want to log into QBO to update my account, enter bills, pay bills, etc. My other issue is that, as a paying user of QBO, I don't expect to have Intuit ads for extra services, upgrades, and business loans when I log in. I expect to get what I paid for without being solicited.
My suggestions are to allow each user to enable and disable features and set up their Home or Dashboard as they wish, and to allow users to disable or opt-in for solicitations.

They have been nothing but a headache. So much for "Expert" help as no one seems to know anything more than what you can see and tell them. Not even for Payroll. They failed to file the employee w-2s for state or federal and now I can't access my company's state login or find the employees' w-2s in the system even though they were sent to the employees. I had found them previously and now I can't. This is the worse accounting software I have used. The more AI the add, the WORSE it gets! I am ready to find something else!

Terrible customer service with no follow through. If you have to call prepare for at least an hour to talk with anyone, and then you will get some sort of empty answer that will not work. I like the bookkeeping aspect for my sole proprietor business. I just canceled payroll because it is a disaster dealing with the issue they created for me. I highly recommend finding a different company.
They are too expensive
They are too expensive, more expensive than a payroll service. When I get support, 75% of the time it is wrong. I have to get support from my accountant to fix what their support team breaks or never does completely. They don't even know how to set up employee tips correctly... I've been with them 15 years and it is never better.

To make it worse you MUST sign up to have QBO to make all your payroll tax liability payments there is not an option to decline the service!

Horrible bookkeeping software. Too complicated for even to their own support staff to figure it out something.. expensive.... every year they increase the price..
If you use their online payment system for invoicing... and you want to refund customers. You get charged for many payments...
They do discount everymonths to get hooked the customer for their subscription.... DON'T GET HOOKED!!!

I didn’t have the best experience with the sales team. It was hard to get simple questions answered and it felt like the main goal was just to get me on board and take my money.
