I can partially see why he felt this way, although do think it was a very quick rush to judgment and extremely quick rush to leave a negative review. He had gone back and forth with our team via email quite a bit, but after he said that he was unhappy, they wrote and email and never finished it, and then dropped the ball. My suspicion is that the team dropped the ball because he was demanding a full refund, which is outside of our policy, and instead of just writing back and saying no, they wanted to check with management first. The failure to send the response is on us, and we can't blame anyone for being upset in those circumstances. He was very quick to leave a bad review.
On that note, almost every negative review that we've ever received has come from someone that has ordered our smallest package and expected something different or something more than what we describe our leads to be. In this case, he wanted the leads to not have websites already, but the majority of our leads already have sites - they just want them upgraded. We make this as clear as we can on our website. He had not communicated this to us before, and if he had then we could have set him straight. In addition, nearly every bad review that we've ever received comes from someone that doesn't want to follow our policies and procedures. In this case, he didn't return any of the leads. We would have replaced them according to our return policy. He then demanded a refund, which is also outside of our policies. He had asked several questions about these policies before ordering and was completely ok with them beforehand.
Our leads work well, but anyone can get an unlucky batch with the first few that they get. It is common to not have a good experience in the first several leads you receive. Our average conversion rate on the lead type he bought is 5-10%. But that doesn't mean that you will definitely get 1 sale in every 10 to 20 leads. There are many more factors that go into making the sale - you have to impress the prospect. The rest comes down to the luck of the draw, and I don't think it's accurate to say the leads are a scam, when we say on the site that the conversion rate is 5-10% (1 in 10/20 leads), but you ordered 5 leads.
To the reviewer; we're sorry that the batch of 5 leads that you got wasn't great. This does happen. We are still happy to replace any bad leads.
