The 2 x Brazilian lads were so friendly and did everything we needed and more. Nothing was too much to ask. They moved belongings into the country with ease and were very efficient with their packing. Nothing was damaged. Money well spent.

A moving experience
The two removalists were on time at 08:30 and friendly. This being a local move to an adjacent suburb, I was more relaxed than I was with my previous interstate move.
To my regret, I had not done enough preparatory work myself. I should have packed many more boxes myself, prior to the move date, especially personal and fragile items. Boxes that I had pre-packed myself, were clearly labeled with room designation and contents.
I’m currently in the process of unpacking and discovering various matters:
- many of the boxes were packed well, yet others seemed to have just been ‘dropped in the box’ with some padding on top.
- As the boxes are unlabelled, I am not aware of where each box belongs and what the contents may be.
It is something that I should have prepared myself, though an idea for the company when they are packing boxes at the customer’s premises:
Pre-printed labels for the boxes, e.g. a box is packed in the bedroom - stick a BEDROOM label on it.
As the task at hand took longer than was anticipated by myself and as I gleaned, by the removalists too. We were all getting rather tired, therefore I suggested that we all take a half hour lunch break at 12:30 and resume after. After all we are human and so we need short pauses during the workday to, rest and regroup in order to maximize our abilities. The removalists stated that they wanted to continue. Later, when all furniture and boxes were loaded in the container, I was informed that they were going to take a detour to refuel and get something to eat.
I was also informed that they would deduct 15 minutes from the total charged time for this. I stayed and tidied some things inside and outside the property and then made my way to my new residence.
I waited another 25 minutes at my new residence for the truck to arrive and for the unloading to begin.
A note regarding the loading order in the container;
- the refrigerator should have been loaded last, together with the esky containing the refrigerated items, therefore they would have been the first to be unloaded into the property.
An item, of sentimental value left to me by my deceased mother, a cobalt blue jar with lid, was smashed and was very politely placed on top of a box in the garage, without my being made aware of it at the time, until I later discovered it sitting there.
A few pot plants that were moved to the new premises were packed on top of each other, which obviously resulted in damage to the plants. In due course, with some TLC, I’m sure they will recover.
Over all, it was a long exhausting day, with a job generally well done, but there were shortfalls.

A Mostly Hassle Free Move
A mostly hassle free move during a difficult time. I do wish that the people packing my belongings had labeled the contents correctly however. I thought my computer monitors had been left behind as I didn't see the boxes I had left them to be packed in, but they were instead packed into a single large carton and labelled as 'manchester'.
Other then that however everything went great! The people delivering were absolutely lovely and very helpful when unloading. It was nice to have one less thing on my plate when moving interstate.
