The recipe collection has been a useful source of inspiration. I enjoy trying different kinds of meals when I have time to cook, and it’s nice having new ideas when I’m completely out of inspiration.

Happy with service provided when I had a query

The Herb Roasted Chicken Recipe was simple to prepare and turned out well for a family dinner. Adding more nutritional details, such as calories and ingredient information, would help people plan meals based on their personal goals.

Scammers, wo automatically makes you subscribe for 35 EUR.

Unfortunately many of the people on here, like myself, have fallen to a scam whereby you’ll be asked to verify your age on a trustworthy website, but unfortunately it’s an invasive scam pop up facilitated by Recipes Chef.

The pop up automatically brings up a payment of 0.01p through Apple or Gpay, and with the previous banner of ‘age verification’ still fresh in your mind, you don’t think anything of it and proceed to ‘verify your age’ by paying 0.01p. The only indication that it’s for Recipes Chef is the little vendor information underneath the payment.

This company then programs a 24 hour subscription service onto your banking information (part of their business model), meaning that after 24 hours from the payment of 0.01, you’re then automatically charged again approximately £34~. Because the time between the 0.01 scam initiation and the £34~ is only 24 hours, this means you’re unable to reach their customer support and cancel your subscription through the email provided. The phone number doesn’t work as it constantly loops a “all of our agents are busy” message. So the £34 is taken and the company won’t refund it because they’re claiming you signed up legitimately through their promotional material.

In regard to the 4-5 star reviews, I’d ask you review these as they all follow very similar patterns and styles of writing. If Recipes Chef are in fact innocent of this and unknowingly signed up to an outsourced marketing firm that weren’t vetted, then they should take immediate remedial action, but I think it’s safe to say they’ll do nothing of the sort

The instructions are detailed enough to build confidence without feeling overwhelming. It’s a useful collection for both experienced home cooks and anyone looking to try something new.

Scam subscription.

Whilst using an unconnected website, a Gpay authorisation popped up and was confirmed via faceid.
Received an email with login details and saying I will be charged after a 1 day free trial.

I have already raised this with my bank, frozen the card and requested a cancellation of any CPas associated with my Gpay.

Reporting fraudulent company

The recipes are written clearly and use ingredients that are easy to find in most supermarkets. Adding a feature to automatically generate a shopping list from selected recipes would make meal preparation even more convenient.

Never signed up for them, but somehow got an email with a login and £32 came out of my account??? Scam company reported

Warning this is a scam company.
I was changing my password word for a site I have not used in a long time. A message asked me to confirm with Apple Pay the cost was 00.01 p, it was late I just wanted to get finished and was not as careful as I usually am. Immediately I clicked Apple Pay a message flicked on for a fraction of a second with the name Recipe chef co. I knew I had been scammed so looked into it.
By clicking and sending a 1p payment you have signed up for a recurring monthly subscription of £34.95 to Recipe chef, the first payment is taken 24 hours after you first clicked on Recipe chef then every month.
I keep a separate bank account with very little money in it for Apple Pay so took the cash out so Recipe chef could not take a payment. I then contacted Apple Pay they were ok but could do nothing about it. I contacted my bank and they were absolutely great and cancelled my card and reissued new one.
I am carful about this stuff but it’s easy to get caught out and It’s a lot of hassle to rectify. I now need to go on the Recipe chef site and cancel my ‘subscription’ if I can find the cancel link that is you can guarantee it will be well hidden.
There are a lot of these type scams take care and check your bank accounts regularly for any recurring payments you haven’t authorised.

Absolute scam. No idea how they managed to get me signed up. But I fear only way to get one’s own back, because I am sure they will not reimburse me, is to warn everyone else. How this can continue to go on when there are many others who have been caught the same way.

Total scammers. Sent a text pretending to be from PetsAtHome to download their app. Took a pre-auth of £0.01 but then realised it was a subscription scam and cancelled my credit card the next day. Within 2 hours of me cancelling they tried to take the first recurring payment of £34.50 which got declined. Be careful out there!!

The Roasted Vegetable Couscous Bowl recipe turned out well and made a satisfying lunch. The result was good, although I would have appreciated a few alternative ingredient suggestions.

Scammers. Through a payment to an alternative service, they subscribe you to their fake company and steal your bank account.

I had subscribed using Apple Pay, and after reaching out to customer support, everything was resolved promptly. Exceptionally efficient customer service.
