Red Herring Games Reviews

We partnered with Red Herring Games to deliver a murder mystery for a corporate summer party. The activity went down a storm, and the actors were incredibly enthusiastic and engaging. The Red Herring team were excellent throughout the whole process and extremely responsive and helpful in getting us to adapt the event to best suit the day. I would highly recommend working with them.

A group of ten of us of all ages had great fun playing Pop Music, Murder and Mayhem. It was really useful to be able to play the detective/deputy sheriff, to cater for an odd number of people playing. The characters were varied, enabling us to allocate roles easily. The tips on hosting were useful. The scripts were amusing and the question and answers in each section made for a very natural dialogue between the group. Nearly everyone guessed the murderer correctly, suggesting it is maybe a little easy, but this didn't really matter. The eleven and thirteen year olds played their first murder mystery with aplomb. The seven year old was given an easy created role as the sheriff's assistant, although actually as a bright child he probably could have coped with a full role too. Highly recommend.

Red Herring were an absolute pleasure to work with. The team thoroughly enjoyed the session, and it was fantastic to see individuals who were initially a little nervous grow in confidence and really excel on the day.
The actors were highly professional throughout, and we were particularly fortunate to have Alasdair, who delivered the session brilliantly, creating an engaging, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Played one of these games with my work, it was great, we had a whole experience with food provided by our employer and then this game loosley based on peaky blinders. It was so much fun and the props/clues were great. I won which made it even better. Would definitely recommend.

When initially researching the game I wanted, the team were quick to answer my questions over email. Then when I needed to swap my game last minute they were quick to assist me on the phone. I really appreciated Joseph’s understanding and helpful customer service. Now all that’s left is for our group to play - the pack is incredibly organised and clear, so I know a lot of fun will be had playing. Thanks Red Herring Games!

Purchased the great British bump off.
Great game to play. We had 4 young teens and was easy for them to follow.
Red Herring games are a fab company to deal with. Their customer service is amazing.
Thanks for making our New Year’s Eve a fun evening.

Fun and creative games and great customer service! Much better than similar versions I've played in the past, I've just ordered my second game and I look forward to playing more in the future.

We just hosted the "Little Rock Horror Shop" murder mystery and had an absolute blast! We had 6 couples - 3 were murder mystery veterans, and 3 were brand new to this - and everything was organized in a way that worked for everyone, new and old, to playing murder mysteries!

The video investigator was something we've never had before with other companies, and is a really nice feature. The character books were well done, and everything was professionally organized.

The storyline itself was a nice mashup of characters from both Rocky Horror and Little Shop of Horrors, with a bit of humor and everyone having different reasons that they were a suspect. The mystery wasn't too difficult to solve, nor too easy. In our party of 12, we had 2 successfully guess the murderer!

I had a couple questions and a change (number of guests coming), and their customer service was quick and responsive.

We will definitely use Red Herring again, phenomenal company!

Outstanding Experience with Red Herring!

From the moment I made my initial inquiry, the team at Red Herring was fantastic. Joseph was on the ball right from the start—he took charge of everything, which meant I had zero stress or worry. Every detail was handled smoothly and efficiently, allowing me to enjoy the experience without a hitch.

For any team-based activity, I can't recommend Red Herring enough. Their professionalism, communication, and overall execution were top-notch. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again!

This is the 2nd game I purchase from Red Herring. The first one was for a party for my teenage son and friends and it was a success. Now I'm looking forward to an adults only Murder Mystery Evening. I needed to adjust my game on my 2nd order due to guests changing their RSVPs and the Red Herring customer service was amazingly quick responding to my request! 100% recommend!

Excellent murder mystery company. Well planned and delivered. I would hire them again.

Great range of products to choose from whether you want in person or to plan your own evening. Excellent customer service, would recommend.

Amazing company that cares about its customers have been to a number of their events and dinner party games over the years. I would always recommend them.

Opening a Red Herring Games Murder Mystery Box is the first part of the fun! Seeing all the good quality materials and working out how to plan your event, with their top tips inside the info booklet is great fun. I particularly liked the ideas for decoration and props as well as recipes that suited our theme of Great British Bake Off ( Bump Off)!

The game itself was clever and silly at the same time and my family loved throwing themselves into the characters they were playing!

Thoroughly recommended!

Red herring games service second to none. You won't find a more helpful service to get your nurser mystery games from. 100% recommended.
