The one day first aid for work course was fantastic. Activities to make it engaging and which made everything easier to learn and remember.
Approachable for various questions and always assessing us to make sure we understood and could put it into practice. Tania was amazing from Exeter!

My First Aid Trainer by the name Rebecca is whom I am writing in reference to.
She delivered a very professional service with clear understanding and patience in all respects throughout the whole day; she also show all elements of such a caring respected dignified individual.
I feel more confident and obviously now have a understanding further ongoing 1st aid training.
Delightful day and again she deserves praise and personally has my gratitude of many thanks too.

Ruthie Stenner was the trainer. What a fantastic lady. She made it interesting and fun. Plenty of interaction. Explained everything and made sure everyone understood. Brilliant
I attended a 3 day First Aid course at work. Our trainer Mel Ward was a very experienced and well prepared instructor. We covered all the topic in 3 day with lot's of practise. I used to do first aid course because of my job, but not like this before. We made up different situations and practised what to do exactly. It taught us a lot from our and others mistake. End of the 3 day I call tell it gave a massive knowledge and confidence. I really enjoyed every step of it. Mel couldn't do a better job, it was just perfect. I strongly recommend this 3 day course to everyone. You won't regret it. It's worth to do it. Thank you so much!

Recently had a 3-day First aid course, taught by Peter Coombs. He was an amazing teacher, extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Made sure training was catered to each of us in the class and was very inclusive. A wonderful experience I will always be grateful for :) Very grateful, Thanks Pete
The British Red Cross has dropped in standards when coming to its recruitment process. It has the most appalling employment and volunteer application procedure. My donation after some lonesome deliberation, will now be going to the St John's Ambulance. I was just about to make a large donation in my will, but decided to hold off and find out if their core values are merited. First, I tried to gain employment with them and quite frankly I never succeeded online because of the many conditions and length of time involved. Secondly, I was ready to volunteer, but they seem to take this for granted.
Only recently have they displayed a Toll-free corporate number appearing to showing a better patron attitude. But, yet again, trying to get through is nigh on impossible. My impression hit the floor once more. Their patron phone service's volumes are not even at a decent decibel to hear their talker.
They are not even able to resolve efficiently on the spot, without passing the buck either. They kept me waiting on their phone until their music stopped, No one returned to acknowledge me and I was left without the slightest knowledge of knowing. The morale on the phone should have been infectious, but it wasn't. Their application process is a nightmare, with so many pages/sites and numbers notwithstanding a member no, which they throw at you toward the end, and if you don't have one, the process remains at an impasse. Should they not avert wasting the candidate's time and have this asked at the beginning. I sent them emails requesting a member no. Guess its outcome? Clearly they are not putting themselves in the shoes of their candidate's application process. It is now four weeks later and I have still not managed to resolve this. I hate the idea of approaching any other their depts. But frankly, if this is a reflection at this venture, what must they be like in others???. I'll watch their Caring adverts on the box with doubtful eyes from now on. I may even donate to another foreign organisation, like Erste Hilfe. Truly a disappointing set-up with BRC. Let's hope St John's has a more professional attitude and better climate. But something tells me the brits understanding of a patronage concept is broken. What a pity. Hard to believe this country led the world on services once.

I attended a 3 days first aid course in Guilford and Sam was an absolute star... He was so knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions, and his enthusiasm and profesionalism made the whole experience very positive. And the very next day after the completion of the course I actually had to offer first aid to a learner that was having a seisure. Not only I was able to help, but also knew exactly what to do and was very confident about everything I was doing.
