RED Driving School

Really good driving instructors. They were friendly and made me feel at ease.

Had my first lesson today after looking for quite a while . Azhar shameer immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed . Was very patient with me at every stage , his car was clean and professional. I definitely recommend azhar to anyone whos looking for an instructor. 11/10 service

I've had such a pleasant experience learning how to drive with my instructor, Michael Wenger. The process of booking lessons was very easy through the app, and I passed my driving test with only 2 minor faults!

The lessons with Michael were amazing. He helped me feel confident when driving for the first time and was very informative when teaching me new aspects of driving.

I would definitely recommend for any new drivers 🙌

My instructor was Aisha Ali in Leicester and she was amazing!
As a student having no prior driving experience she was patient and understanding when teaching me and helped me progress by making sure I understood my mistakes.
Most importantly i felt comfortable during the lessons and secure in the fact she made sure I was learning to be a safe and confident driver and not just to get my licence.

Review of instructor Yousaf Hassan

I started taking driving lessons with Yousaf Hassan in December 2025. During this period, there were several unexpected cancellations, but the most disappointing situation happened shortly before my practical driving test.

As the test approached, I was taking three lessons a week to prepare intensively. Yousaf knew the exact date of my test and continued giving me regular lessons.

Then, on the Monday shortly before the test, he suddenly told me that, in his opinion, I was not ready to take it. By that point, it was already too late to cancel or change the test without losing the fee.

What I find particularly difficult to understand is why this was not communicated earlier. If an instructor believes that a student is not going to be ready for a booked test, especially while providing three lessons a week, I would expect this to be discussed well in advance so that the student has an opportunity to make an informed decision.

As a result, I lost the money I had paid for the test. More importantly, the whole experience left me with the impression that the focus was more on continuing to sell lessons than on helping me prepare effectively for the test.

I found this unfair and unprofessional, and unfortunately I cannot recommend Yousaf Hassan based on my experience.

Huge thanks to my instructor, Shaathvegan, based in Cambridge. I passed my test first time with only two minors! The lessons were always great, he explained the rules and manoeuvres clearly and with a lot of patience. He possesses excellent knowledge of the local test routes. Highly recommend!

Passed my driving test first time with the help of Aisha Ali in Leicester. She was always friendly, patient and encouraging and just a great instructor all round. Would highly recommend her 😊

My Instructor Scott Bailey was great! Fully supported me through my driving journey, really helping to boost my confidence and get me test ready.

I passed my driving test first time with only one minor fault on a fairly complex route during peak hours. My instructor was Suzan Besarany. She was brilliant at helping me navigate the various routes until I knew them quite thoroughly and she was a great instructor throughout all the lessons. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Just passed my practical driving test with the help of my instructor Jeffrey Gill, sale. Absolutely delighted with the service and would recommend Red Driving school to others. Thank you so much!

My Oxford based ADI Shalena Rahman. (Shelly) is an amazing instructor. Right from the beginning when I called Shelly for a driving lesson she sounded really nice and kind. She really helped me to build my confidence and become a r we lot good driver. She’s really a good driving instructor. She helped me to pass my test today. Without her help and support I wouldn’t be in this position today. I remember the first lesson I had with her I was so nervous but she made me feel so comfortable. I’m going to miss driving in your car and I will miss you too! Thank you Shelly and I wish you all the best.

I wouldn't have thought that passing my practical driving test could have been that easy. When I asked friends, most of them recommended that I use RED driving school and I was lucky to have had Mohammad Arif Omarkhel as my instructor. From our first meeting all through to our last lesson, I knew I was in great hands.
Mohammed was very encourging and gave constructive feedback all of which helped me pass my practical test the first time with zero faults. I'd absolutely recommend Mohammed as an instructor.

I highly recommend Gareth Warne from Telford red driving. He is professional, funny and built my daughters confidence. He is always punctual and has never been late.

Learning to drive with Mohammad Arif Omarkhel has been an amazing experience. He is remarkably patient, respectful, and always brings a sense of calm that instantly eases any nerves. Whenever I made a mistake, he turned it into a positive learning moment, keeping me motivated rather than discouraged. He pushes you to do your best while always ensuring you feel supported and secure.
What stood out most is that his lessons go beyond simply passing the practical exam; he truly teaches you how to read the road and drive well for the long term.
For anyone looking for an exceptional instructor in South East London and Kent, Mohammad covers Erith, Belvedere, Woolwich, Plumstead, Abbey Wood, Thamesmead, Welling, Bexleyheath, Bexley, Sidcup, Eltham, Blackheath, Greenwich, Lewisham, Charlton, Kidbrooke, Mottingham, Bromley, Chislehurst, and the surrounding areas. Thank you, Mohammad!

Max Laing was my instructor and I honestly can’t thank him enough; I started my lessons at the start of august as pretty much a beginner driver; essentially only knowing how to drive around quiet cul-de-sacs, my test date was originally on the 29th august & Max was really accommodating making sure I got all my lessons in before test day & also working around my childcare arrangements. Despite being test ready I did unfortunately fail my first test due to nerves and a rather grumpy examiner, however Max reassured me that I was still ready & I have just passed with 4 minors on the 29th september!

I was especially worried about who my instructor would be and what they would be like due to being neurodivergent & having social anxiety, but Max was calm throughout and always explained where I was making mistakes without knocking my confidence.

I had a great experience being instructed by Modupe. She was very thorough and attentive during every lesson and provided me with valuable advice that ultimately helped me pass my driving test first time.

I passed my driving test in Wednesbury first time today! 🎉

A massive thank you to Anuj for being so patient, thorough and supportive throughout my lessons. I’m a very nervous driver, but he really helped build my confidence and always made me feel at ease.

Even with the nerves on test day, his advice and reassurance helped me stay calm and trust myself. I’m so grateful for all his help and would 100% recommend him, especially to anyone who feels nervous about driving. Thank you so much, Anuj!

My driving instructor Mansour helped me pass my test first time! I was very nervous as many people are but Mansour is a very patient and brilliant instructor, his directions are clear and teaching skills are brilliant and he caters his teaching style for you personally! He is also very funny and friendly! Massive thank you and I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Passed first time with no minor faults with my instructor Mohammed Alam at Leighton Buzzard Test Centre!
My instructor was very knowledgeable, patient, calm and friendly throughout our time working together. He explained things very clearly and had no problem answering any questions or worries I had about learning to drive. I went from knowing nothing about driving, with no experience behind the wheel, to gaining knowledge, experience and confidence in driving. He was very communicative throughout and made sure I was challenged each lesson which helped with my growth and confidence. He made sure I was test-ready by the time my test was due and I am so thankful to have had an instructor who displayed patience, humour, knowledge and passion for teaching well.

My experience with red driving was top notch. The instructor, Luthfur Rahman in Aberdeen was able to guide me through unlearning old driving habits of left hand drive in my country to Uk standards. He was professional and kept on emphasising the importance of driving safely. My test was a success in my first attempt. Thank you Red driving Team…. E. Amadasun
