Misleading Marketing...
Unfortunately, I found this company's marketing extremely misleading. I live in Hervey Bay (which is 3 hours north of Brisbane for those who don't know). There are multiple car dealerships and servicing centres here. This is also listed as my location on Facebook.
I saw an advertisement on Facebook for this company and had heard about them, so I sent an enquiry through. The reply said, 'We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide our services to your location at this time'.
I replied and said that I could get to Brisbane to pick up a car and have any servicing that was required done. The reply was, 'Unfortunately, you do have to reside in our serviced areas'.
So why were they advertising on Facebook to people in the area I reside in? Second, if you are going to 'rent buy it', which suggests you will rent this car until you buy it, why does it matter where you live? If you are willing to travel to collect the car with the intention of owning it, why should this company discriminate based on where people live?
There are dealerships to have the car serviced in the area I live in, reputable big car name dealers in this area, yet I can't rent-to-own a car here... There was no real explanation given, and it just feels like they couldn't be bothered to help me.

Firstly, we understand your frustration at seeing our Facebook advertising only to discover that your location is currently outside our serviceable areas. While our advertising reaches a broad audience, we acknowledge that this can create confusion, and we'll certainly take your feedback on board.
Unlike a traditional car dealership or rental company, RentBuyIt provides a structured rent-to-own service, where customers have a clear pathway to vehicle ownership at the completion of their agreement.
As part of our commitment to responsible service and ongoing customer support, we need to ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place throughout the entire rental term. This extends beyond simply collecting or servicing a vehicle and includes access to our approved service and support network.
Although there are reputable dealerships and servicing facilities in Hervey Bay, we unfortunately do not currently have the necessary arrangements in place to service customers in your area. This is certainly not a reflection of your eligibility or our willingness to assist.
We appreciate that you were prepared to travel to Brisbane and make your own servicing arrangements. However, our geographical requirements are designed to ensure we can consistently meet our obligations to every customer throughout their agreement.
We also acknowledge that we could have explained these reasons more clearly in our initial correspondence, and we apologise for that.
We sincerely appreciate your interest in RentBuyIt and hope to expand our service network to include more regional Queensland locations in the future.

One of the best decisions i made which is buying a car with rent it buy it company. Angelo was so helpful with my application. And the reception lady was awesome on greeting me and my wife. So so smooth and straight forward.. it still almost doesn't seem real
The whole process has been seriously so so easy because of these guys, they understood my situation perfectly and I found myself for the first time in a long time not having to try and explain or justify myself, other than a few pretty basic and standard questions that are clearly required of them to ask and know. The whole process took maybe a week due to myself and the time taken to return forms, the guys at rentbuyit were straight onto everything and before I really knew it, I was driving out of a Mitsubishi dealership in a Brand New 2025 Mitsubishi Triton for cheaper than I was recently paying on a clapped out 2000 rodeo from a dodgy and pushy car rental company in Braybrook.. I'm still kinda pinching myself really..

We have enquired for traditional finance and rent to own companies such as carcoop and Click me cars and they were a disappointment. Carcoop only offered compact and small suvs for first time customers and charging an arm and leg. click me cars was quoting us a $1500 deposit upfront and the variety of cars were not what we were looking for.
But thank God we found rent buy it. The application was so effortless. There’s no hefty up front cost. The options for vehicles was very top tier !!!! We applied last thursday got approved the same day and signed contract on Friday. Collected our vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. A brand new 2024 mitsubishi pajero sport (7-seater).
We could not recommend them enough. Angelo was very impressive to deal with. Can not wait to apply for our next car in the near future 🥳
