Paul retouched my photos and turned them into absolutely stunning headshots for my realtor marketing campaign. They are truly the most gorgeous photos I could have been imagined. I am recommending this company to everyone!!!!!!!

The photos I had colourised at Retouche were very disappointing. They are quite lazy and never finish work off properly and put a minimum amount of effort into colouring. For example, when colouring a black and white photo, they will leave areas of the photo grey, black or white, where they could have added colour. I suspect, they do this because it makes life easier for them, and takes them less time than colouring the whole photo.

They also over use the "smudge tool" which often gives a very fake and unnatural appearance to flesh and other details. It is "smudge tool" overkill.

They often do not finish photos on time either and, if you are having something coloured over a period of 7 days (I get the impression they don't like it when you choose that option, because they make less money!), they will rush that job through at the very last moment and give you the proofs late. It very lazy and unprofessional workmanship.

There are far better photo colourisers and restorers to be found online. IMO this is not one of the good ones. People need to be careful and try and find a decent one.

Basically, you get what you pay for at Retouche.

I think, the vast majority of the public are blissfully unaware of how things look when done properly so will think the work done at Retouche and a lot of other similar companies has been done reasonably well or even very well. It is not until you go to a real professional that you notice the work you once thought was good here, is not as good as you originally thought it was at all.

There are a few good companies out there to be found online, but you have to find them out of all of the not so great companies and the not so great companies like Retouche are a penny a dozen, unfortunately. I notice they all have mainly good reviews, hence why I think most people are blissfully unaware of what decent work looks like! Unlike a lot of people, I notice shoddy work when I see it.

If you are not that fussy about qaulity and don't have a lot of money to spend then you will probably like Retouche. If you prefer realism when it comes coloring regarding skin tone and colors that fit with the period of when your old black & white photo was taken then, you will be disappointed if you get Retouche to do it.

I think this company gives a very wax-work look to faces. It is difficult to describe. Maybe cartoon-like is a better way to describe the unnatural appearance on faces, hands, arms, clothing, of the figures they colorize? The end result is the people in the photos look like a completely different person than they were in real life.

The photos I had done here only had the people colored in and the background and other objects were left almost completely void of color bar a light wish-wash or tint of colour to disguise the grey, black, and white areas. Maybe they just don't have enough time to do the whole photo or they think their prices are so cheap as it is, so feel justified in not finishing things off? No idea! Whatever it is, I won't be back.

I used Retouche service for cleaning up photos that we took and they did a great job. They are quick to respond and we've been very happy with the results. We will use again and recommend you give them a try!

I had a B&W image of my father taken around 1928 where the negative was severely light fogged along the entire right border. The restoration was near perfect bringing the latent portion of the image out from behind the fogged area and matching the exposure and contrast almost exactly. The restoration was seamless and precisely what I wanted. A skillful job well beyond my abilities in Photoshop.

I just did my first picture with Retouche - a great picture of me and my son with some complicated stuff to cut out around heads and faces - which they returned in less than 24 hours, looking fantastic, and for just $24. Can't fault that service !

I was amazed by the finished product, a photo of my farther (the only one of him as a young man) had a hole through the middle of his face, I thought it impossible to repair, I had tried may bits of software costing a lot of money (totally wasted) I found Retouche on line and thought one last time, get a professional to try, for a one off payment that in the wider picture I should have considered first, I took the plunge, 7 days later I re downloaded the finished photo it was fantastic, all the shadows and tones where correct, this was a B+W photo, so it was not a case of blurring lots of colours and hiding the hole, the lips lined up the nose was sharp. I would highly recommend this company for other works of this nature.

The process couldn’t be easier or faster. Quality work and great communication. Retouché effortlessly brought our last remaining picture of our grandfather back to life after we thought we wouldn’t be able to restore it. Can’t recommend their service enough. Thank you!

I found Retouche on the internet and asked them to colourise a very old photo of my great grandparent. The work was done quickly and well. Importantly the agreed price for the job did not leave my account until I had declared that I was happy with the work done & no improvements were necessary. I will probably use these guys again.
