Breaking European law for selling online
Had to go through big trouble to return two items from my last order (of six items in total) as they were sales items (and it apparently said “sale is final” on their website). However, they are obliged under European law to offer at least 14 days returns on any item sold online (unless being custom made or similar).
Refusing returns is directly against European law that says you can return any purchase within 14 days without justification for online purchases (Source Europe dot eu).
I wrote the store a week ago and it’s been back and forth since (they didn’t reply to my first email, had to write them again to get a reply). I’ve sent over text from the website stating the law but they keep refusing me my rights to return the two items.
Stay away unless you’re 100% sure about your purchase!!
Update: I ended up getting an accept to return my items but this was after a lot of back and forth and a not very forthcoming customer service dialogue. A shame since this was a favorite brand of mine before I experienced how they treat their customers.
