Booking Cancelled Last Minute. Refund Takes 10 to 12 Days
I booked a ticket through Road Master Bus official website and completed the payment online. Everything seemed fine until the night before my travel date when I received a cancellation from their end. No valid reason was given. The bus was not facing any mechanical issue or emergency. It seems the trip was simply cancelled because they did not have enough passengers to make it worthwhile for them.
This is completely unacceptable. Passengers plan their travel in advance, take time off and arrange their schedules around their bookings. Cancelling a confirmed paid booking the night before the journey causes serious disruption especially for those travelling urgently or on a tight budget.
To make things worse when I contacted their customer support for a refund I was told it would take 10 to 12 working days. Not everyone can afford to have their money held for nearly two weeks after already being let down. You lose your travel plan and your money is stuck at the same time.
Road Master Bus needs to take responsibility for last minute cancellations caused on their side. There should be an immediate refund policy when the cancellation is done by the operator not the passenger. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking and paying online through their platform.
