Poor service, lack of cost transparency, and defective vehicles. Not recommended.

We rented a camper in Greece through this provider and, due to a multitude of deficiencies, can only strongly advise against booking with them.

Right from the start, communication via email was extremely slow. The vehicle handover on-site was very rushed and conducted under noticeable time pressure from the staff.

The vehicle provided did not meet expectations. It had pre-existing damage (water damage), which led to a permanent loss of water. Absolutely unacceptable for this price. On the second day, the vehicle suffered engine failure, leaving us stranded. Although the vehicle replacement was handled quickly, it still cost us half a day of our vacation.

The replacement vehicle was significantly larger and was assigned to us without any alternative. What initially seemed like an upgrade turned out to be an additional financial burden: due to the vehicle's height, toll fees on the highways as well as fuel consumption increased drastically. Furthermore, the dimensions of the vehicle severely limited our flexibility and travel planning. To make matters worse, the water system in the replacement vehicle broke down shortly after, leaving us with no water supply in the camper for the remainder of the trip.

The camper was missing basic comfort equipment (such as a broom or mats). In addition, the telephone service hotline is subject to charges, which is completely customer-unfriendly in emergency situations. The price-performance ratio is unjustifiable compared to competitors.

The most severe point: Intransparent billing and unauthorized charges. After the rental (and despite having purchased the highest and supposedly best insurance package), more than €1,200 was charged to our credit card without any warning, without any damage documentation, and without a transparent breakdown of costs. The terms and conditions are confusing, non-transparent, and deviate from the agreements made.

Conclusion:
Poor service, defective vehicles, and a completely non-transparent, unauthorized charging practice after the fact. We are now escalating this case to the European Consumer Centre. Anyone looking for a reliable and fair partner for their vacation should avoid this rental company.

This was my second rental with Rolling Turtles. Unfortunately, during my latest trip (14–17 September 2025) with an 8-meter campervan, we faced several serious issues:

Rear right tire: At pick-up the pressure was only 3.5 bar instead of 5.5. Staff inflated it, but within two days it dropped again to 4.0 bar. A clear safety risk.

Front left mirror: Already broken at pick-up (noted in protocol). Usable by day, but unsafe at night.

Water system: Each time we used water inside, the external shower pipe leaked simultaneously, wasting supply.

Shower drainage: Completely clogged, making the shower unusable.

At drop-off, the employee apologized and confirmed these problems were not our fault. However, despite sending two emails (19/9 and 30/9) I have received no reply at all.

The vans are new and staff at handover are polite, but when safety and usability problems occur, proper aftercare and communication are essential. Unfortunately, Rolling Turtles failed to provide this.

We had an amazing experience with Rolling Turtles! From the very beginning, the warm welcome and helpful support from the team made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The camper van was brand new, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed for a perfect trip.

It truly had all the comforts of home, and driving it around Greece gave us so much freedom to explore at our own pace. Thanks to Rolling Turtles, our time in Greece was absolutely unforgettable. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-quality camper rental and excellent service!

Traveling by motorhome in Greece is wonderful, and in the Peloponnese there were some great campsites. The children, in particular, were very excited about the trip. We had bad luck as the vehicle broke down after just over an hour of driving. Apparently, the alternator was faulty (or something), since the battery drained and the car would no longer start. Understandably, we couldn’t get a similar vehicle as a replacement because it was peak season, but unfortunately, the company also didn’t want to compensate us afterwards for the smaller car though we paid for bigger one.

Be cautious! The two stars are only because the camper was at least functional. Otherwise, I do not recommend Rolling Turtles. Despite being advertised as a 2022 model, the vehicle felt a decade old. An orange warning light appeared immediately, and the water pump didn’t work, leaving us without water for the trip. They didn't refund for the unusable kitchen and toilet and even tried to charge us for the malfunction. One window was broken and fell off.

Hidden charges abound! We were billed for essentials like bed sheets and kitchen equipment, which were supposed to be included, while promised free items (camping chairs, table) were missing. They even charged for WhatsApp communication.

Post-return, they deducted €585 a month later for an alleged scratch without clear proof. The excuse was a "second inspection", with only a blurry photo of an unidentifiable vehicle as evidence.

Overall, a stressful and disappointing experience

I had to send a thousand emails even to get the documents of the vehicle. You are not very professional but above all you have no ability to communicate with transparency. Terrible. Never again

Rolling turtles offered us a once in a lifetime experience. The van was well equipped, fully functional and in a great condition for long distance trips.

The experience was outstanding, throughout the trip we faced not a single problem regarding services, and we absolutely recommend it to anyone interested!!

Great company, very professionals and willing to help any way possible. The vans are in great condition, would definitely recommend them!!!

We rented a camper van in the end of March 2023 for two days and paid the rental fee online. After we delivered the car we were charged an extra 40% taken from our deposit based on several ludicrous hidden fees, including a so-called winter tyre fee clearly not needed in springtime Greece. They also have a ridiculously early time for handing back the camper (10.30), which means that you are more or less forced to pay the extra 89 EUR for late return. Basically we would have had to get up a 6am to be able to make it back from our trip for the standard delivery time. The pick up time is afternoon, which means we did not get even 48 hours use of the camper although we pay for two full days. When we sent email to complain, there was no response. We also called. Although this is a perfectly legit company that have good quality vehicles, they are both expensive and also clearly try to sneak in as much extra as they can. We DO NOT recommend to rent from this company. Also note that they pay up to 50 EUR for positive reviews, so before you chose them for your next trip, make sure you read the low start reviews.

Perfect cars, amazing adventure , experienced staff, huge recommendation

Very experienced and friendly staff. They answered all our questions and also answered all our phone calls right away for anything we needed. Greece is an amazingky beautiful country with great highways and perfect to visit with a campervan.

The cars are brand new , and everything someone might need is available for rental. We rented bed sheets , very cozy and fresh, an SUP , and bicycles.Totally a returning customer!

I can not describe in exact words what an exquisite experience my wife and I had 3 weeks ago!!
We landed in Athens where a very friendly guy from Rolling Turtles greeted us at the airport and took us directly to the place where we collected our van!The paperwork was smooth and easy (taken care by two overwhelming girls) and just 1 hour after we were on the road!!!
2 weeks later in which we went all the way down to Kalamata and from there up to Nafpaktos,exploring the magical Peloponese,we were overjoyed but sad that our time had passed so quickly!!
At least before we left we again were met by the company’s amazing staff, and their smiles gave us one more reason to really consider going through the same experience next year!!!A big cheer to all of Rolling Turtles

Μιλάμε για την απάτη σε όλο της το μεγαλείο. Μου ζήτησαν να βαλω την προκαταβολή και τα υπόλοιπα λεφτά θα τα εισέπρατταν μετρητά στο χέρι(χωρίς απόδειξη) για καλύτερη τιμή. Άρα τους συνεργάτες τους τους Γερμανούς(οπως ανέφεραν ότι υπάρχουν και αυτοί στη συναλλαγή) τους κλέβουν χωρίς αποδείξεις. Αυτοί είναι οι Rolling turtles.
Εγώ δυστυχώς έχασα 250€ γιατί ζήτησα να ακυρώσουμε την κράτηση 2 μήνες πριν, ελπίζω να μην χάσει κ ένας άλλος περισσότερα!

Ούτε καράβια,ούτε τρένα,ούτε αεροπλάνα,ούτε ανέβα κατέβα,ούτε τρέξιμο να προλάβουμε,ούτε ωράρια άβολα, ούτε ορθοστασία σε ατελείωτες ουρές!Είχαμε το δικό μας σπίτι, πεντακάθαρο με όλες τις ανέσεις,και μπορέσαμε να ζήσουμε δέκα μαγευτικές ημέρες, ανάμεσα σε γραφικα χωριά,σε καταπράσινο περιβάλλον, δίπλα σε ανθισμένους λόφους και γάργαρα ρυάκια!Τα είχαμε όλα από τους ανθρώπους της εταιρείας,τι άλλο να ζητήσει κάποιος? Αξέχαστες στιγμές, μοναδική εμπειρία,που μόνο όταν κάποιος την ζήσει αντιλαμβάνεται την αξία της!Η οδήγηση στο τιμόνι ενός τέτοιων προδιαγραφών τροχόσπιτου, είναι ότι πιο ξεκούραστο για ατελείωτα χιλιόμετρα, όποτε θέλουμε,σε όποιο σημείο θέλουμε,και για όσο διάστημα θέλουμε.Ηδη σχεδιάζουμε το επόμενο ταξίδι μας!

We had a brilliant 7 night holiday in our rolling turtle truck camper. Kostas and Anna who dealt with the handover were very friendly and professional. They explained everything to us before we set off. The truck camper was clean with bed surprisingly comfy and storage plentiful. My friend and I loved and recommend the Isuzu truck camper. Thank you Rolling turtle already thinking of planning our next trip 😃
