We purchased an electric opening rooflight in 2024 from this company and our electrician made an error with the wiring which resulted in a burnt out control box but the team at Roofmaker were very helpful and talked us through the correct way of installing a replacement control switch, my wife and I are very pleased with the after service we received from Stella and John who are both a credit to the company and very knowledgeable…i would recommend this company over other companies because of their after sales ability and my rooflight now works perfectly well above our kitchen island.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Rude and unhelpful. Dreadful product. Actuators broke within two years due to being faulty. Enormous non-negotiable charge to replace them despite them being faulty. Would never go near this company or their products again.

Happy with everything

First impressions, A great product and from an initial sales perspective they were helpful and prompt.
Two Luxlite roof lights with integrated blinds were duly ordered, received and fitted.
Since fitting we have nothing but issues and over a year later we have roof lights where the blinds have never worked.
Despite several attempts at speaking to them directly from both myself and our electricians, they have been useless.
Your requests will be past from pillar to post with no follow ups or detailed feedback provided from videos we have sent in. Again, zero response.
I would not recommend this company and we are now in position where we cannot control the light in bedroom spaces.
This is a premium product, with a premium cost and the after sales service should simply be much better.
This review is provided from an architectural and interiors studio and we cannot recommend Roofmaker to any others.

We requested engineer visit on several occassions, but this did not materialise due to us being in Glasgow, Scotland. Instead, myself and our electrician with the help from Dominic were able to snag the roof lights operation and we now have working rooflights and blinds. It wasnt easy and we would unlikley order again via Roofmaker, but we have amended our review based on our most recent experience.

Seven years on and still helpful!

We used Roofmaker for some skylights and a big bi-fold door seven years ago. Recently the handle on the bi-fold door snapped meaning we could not shut the door because then we couldn't get out. Despite the length of time of the sale and even though they no longer sell the bi-fold doors, they were still able to search around, find a handle and get it to us quickly to effect a repair. They then came down to London to ensure the repair was done properly. Big shout to Mark and Jade for helping us.

While the windows have required minor maintenance, the thermal properties have been excellent and we received a number of compliments on the design. We would recommend this supplier for both the quality of the products and their excellent customer service.

An incredibly helpful company, loads of info sent over when requested, they welcomed me to visit their showroom / factory with open arms, and the lantern came as expected, well packaged etc. It's beautiful! We did have one issue with one of the panes, but they sorted it very quickly - very helpful ineed!

I ordered my sky lantern and Vlux lights for my extension before Christmas.
I ordered early so that they were on site for when my roofers were ready to fit them.
The first sky lantern was fitted the week before Christmas. The instructions were followed exactly as the manufacture required. The very next day the roof lantern leaked and so my roofers came round to look at the lantern and see if their craftsmanship was inadequate. Thet resealed the roof. It leaked again. They came back and check it out again. It leaked for a third time. On this visit they removed the sky lantern to discover that it was not their craftmanship but instead the lantern manufacture itself. I called roofmaker who were closed for Christmas. So i had a leaking roof destroying the room below and Roof Maker could respond to me on 11th January. As a result my roofers charged me 3 times to get the roof water tight.
Once I got through to the companh in January they were unhelpful. They said they would send out one of their team. At this point I had paid for the roof to be sealed and fitted again at a cost to me.
The product itself was not as described and Roof Maker have not and are still not offering a refund of any kind on the product. They feel £150 is adequate compensation even though it cost more for me to get the roof in a state that protected my house.
I wouldn't use this company again or recommend them.
