Gawd why didn't I do my research! It's a TOTAL scam!! There is no sweet little Ruth, making handmade jewelry and they certainly aren't going out of business!!!. Don't believe a word of it. It's junk from China

I wouldn't even give this store a 1. They say free shipping from US but was shipped from China. I ordered a ring & it looks nothing like what I ordered. Return has to be shipped back to China & buyer must pay shipping back!! DO NOT BUY from this company...SCAM!!!

I wish 0 stars was an option. Cheap Chinese scam. Website has some story about Ruth who is a jewelry artist in Arizona. Product is shipped from China and is nothing like what is shown on the website. They are passing themselves off as a US company. If you look at their website, under contact us, they forgot the change the email address from Ruth’s Gems and it’s listed as Beth’s Gems. Look up Beth’s Gems. It is the same website only for the UK.
Don’t order anything!!!

This is NOT a shop in Arizona, the phone number does NOT exist, nor is the website to correspond viable. NO NOT ORDER. I can't believe I was scammed again, but when I saw the tracking says from China, I knew it and tried to cancel my order. I had to go through my CC to dispute it. I want to believe in people, but what a scam. ( I see below that your can let them know about this review, but you won't get anything through the info website ruth's gems provided.

This company also trading as BETHs Gems, and who knows how many other names .... absolute scam, product does arrive a month later, from some cheap copy cat in China, quality so cheap and nasty I cant even GIVE them away, no one can possibly wear them.

Wish there was a zero stars rating. This is a scam. I ordered what looked like a beautiful ring and received junk. I stupidly didn’t check the company out before ordering. I have requested a refund which I don’t expect to receive but am also contacting American Express to dispute the charge.

These are cheap knockoffs. I’m going to try and return but it sounds like it might be an issue. Totally disappointed. I wish I had done more research before I bought these.

I have turned this scam into the Better Business Burea; contacted FB who said the ad stays up! Now, I am disputing the charge on my credit card and now in the process of filing paper work as requested for the credit card; Beware now on FB - they have Grandma’s Leather Bags up with the same line of going out of business, etc. that they used for Ruths Gems and FB won’t take these fake companies down. BEWARE! Scams concerning any products with an older woman going out of business! Such a scam!

I’ve been scammed again!

Received my order today and very disappointed. This is not handcrafted as advertised. I thought it might be junk when tracking info was china not Arizona. I’ve tried emailing and calling, number disconnected and email error.

I came across these other terrible reviews when wondering where my order had got to, wish I’d read them first. I’ve sent 2 emails making it clear I exercise my right to cancel for a full refund - before shipping, and got one back completely ignoring my request and saying my order would be shipped soon! So I’ve sent a 3rd one asking them if they can read?! However as I paid by credit card and I have evidence they did get my email I will get a refund. I also told them that if their parcel arrives against my explicit request, they will be responsible for paying for its return. This is nothing but Fraud!

Total scam .. the items received are cheap and look nothing like the images .. plastic and cheap crap...I'm hoping I can return them all for a full refund ..

I received awful plastic style rubbish. Fake site - want a refund. Good luck with that you are all saying. Buyer beware.

Scam company. Fake, cheap product rather than artisan jewelry. Totally misrepresented product and story. Reached out several times attempting to cancel the order, but they are unresponsive. Stay away!

100% Fake. Report to Facebook by going to Facebook, and searching for how to report an ad, and enter ruths-gems dot com, which is where the scammer has a website.

There is no "going out of business sale", the company is not in California, and the package that you'll receive (from China) contains ugly, obviously brass or cheaper metal jewelry. The original ad stated it was fine jewelry in a final sale. I should have known. It turned my skin green. Vendor told me to pay for return shipping, and lie about amount I paid or they would not give me my money back. Contacting credit card company. Hilariously ugly jewelry.

It’s a SCAM and everyone should be aware of this. The jewelry they sent me is horrible. It’s cheap and not at all what they advertise. It’s as if a bunch of 8 year olds made it! Disgusting!

This company is a scam. The jewelry shown on the website is not what arrives in the mail. The jewelry is all cheap metal and plastic at inflated prices. I contacted the company about getting a refund and they say I need to mail everything back to China at my own expense. How much would that cost? Perhaps as much as my purchase. They also would not provide an address or contact info for their company. I would like to see legal action taken against Ruth's Gems. Has anyone pursued or contacted the Better Business Bureau? Suggestions welcome!

do not buy from here. these items are temu quality not at all hand made. come in plastic "fashion jewlery" bags. HUGE SCAM.

Ring arrived damaged. Advertised as moonstone but it was a piece of glass with the back painted on.

Wow, so I see I'm not the only one who fell for this. So utterly disappointed. But then there's karma. And it will get these losers in the end.
Lesson learned.

Ordered over a month ago. Send email to company. Told no such address. Dishonesty in representation. May karma surround all businesses that use fraud in selling products.
