We spent a long time choosing the perfect ship and room for our HONEYMOON.
We finally found one and asked Salamransel on WhatsApp if the room was still available. (Private room on the upper deck with a balcony).
They said yes, so we booked and paid for it.
However, when we boarded the ship and were escorted to our room, it was clear that it was not the one we had chosen and paid for. The room we got was smaller, without a balcony, and it was on the lower deck, not the upper deck. This discrepancy, caused by Salamransel was not the mistake of the crew, because they also got the instructions from the agency.
We therefore contacted Salamransel via WhatsApp to explain our disappointment. Rather than apologising for their mistake, they tried to shift the blame onto us.
First, they said that we had made a mistake, but we sent them screenshots of the original booking process. After that, they said it was the crew's mistake, which is obviously not true. This made the crew feel uncomfortable too.
We told them that we could still stay on the ship because we didn't want to ruin our honeymoon, but it's unfair that we got a much worse room but had to pay the price for a good room. They should therefore pay us back the difference in price between the original room and the one we were given at least.
Unfortunately, they refused, even after admitting that they had made a mistake. After a long discussion, they offered to pay back only 4.5% of the original price. We were in a bad mood and decided to cancel the trip and asked for a return to the harbour and a full refund.
They didn't want to cooperate, so we told them to call the police. This made them change their minds, and they agreed to pay us back our money, but refused to take us back to the harbour.
As we cannot fly, we asked them how we should do it. They offered to pick us up in a small boat for 4 million IDR to bring us back to the harbour.
Salamransel showed an absolute lack of empathy for our honeymoon and behaved in a very uncomfortable and unprofessional manner.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
