For the free trial, if you refer to the trial email, it explains that the trial automatically stops and you are never charged. We have no way of charging you as we don't collect payment information unless you subscribe at https://sapling.ai/plans
As far as we're aware, we've never collected any payment from you or another member of [REDACTED], so while we appreciate the feedback, please consider the product has been free for use and we're tasked with providing support on a holiday weekend.
If you were to ever subscribe, it's straightforward to cancel at https://sapling.ai/user_settings > Manage billing (does not appear unless you are, in fact, subscribed).
Did you install the browser extension or another add-in? The uninstall instructions differ for each. However, uninstalling is the same as for other browser extensions / add-ins. For example, see https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/2664769?hl=en#:~:text=Uninstall%20an%20extension
There is nothing about the install or uninstall process that is specific to Sapling, just like you uninstall Adobe Acrobat and Zoom the same way on Windows.
In terms of memory usage -- this should not happen as almost all thhe processing is on our backend servers and the frontend is a lightweight JavaScript wrapper (true for all add-ins). If you're using the Chrome browser add-in, for example, please go to the menu: Window > Task Manager and check Sapling's memory footprint.
Do you mind providing details as to what makes the interface clunky?
