I spent months researching home saunas before landing on SaunaCloud, and I am so glad I did. We wanted a true custom infrared build rather than a flimsy pre-fab box, and their equipment delivered exactly what we needed.

A quick heads-up on the build process: you do need your own contractor to frame it out and a licensed electrician to hardwire the power supply to meet code. But the provided manual made it seamless. We went with the Canadian Cedar, which smells amazing and looks incredibly high-end. We even had our contractor build the "flip bench" they recommend to house the power supply safely out of the way —such a smart design detail.

The heat is just unbelievable. We used their carbon infrared panels (we even put them under the floor so your feet get warm!) and added the VantaWave Full Spectrum heaters. It easily hits that sweet spot of 135°F after a 60-minute warm-up, and the sweat you get is deep and intense.

The tech is also flawless. The control panel is super intuitive, and having dual displays (one inside, one outside) is super convenient. Pumping music through the built-in Bluetooth while using the Chromotherapy color lights makes it feel like a high-end commercial spa right in our house.

Customer service was top-notch. They promise a 24-hour response time during the week , and Chris and the team definitely lived up to it. Plus, knowing the carbon panels have a 10-year warranty gives us total peace of mind.

If you're on the fence about a custom infrared setup, don't hesitate. Highly recommend!

A few years ago my husband and I bought a second-hand infrared sauna following his diagnosis of terminal cancer. Back then he was given a life expectancy of 3 to 5 years. His 5 years will be up in March this year and he’s still doing well. I believe that the infrared sauna may have something to do with this.

Our sauna uses ceramic heaters and I was researching on the internet with a view to upgrading to carbon panels when I stumbled on Chris’s blog and website. I am so glad I did as he is so knowledgeable and helpful. After reading Chris’s information I feel much better educated about the various options and am convinced that SaunaCloud is the very best supplier for our next sauna. We are currently in discussions with Chris and he really couldn’t be more helpful and approachable.

Chris was knowledgeable and straight forward in explaining the different sauna heater options (pro and con) and what might work best in my specific situation (replacing a 20 year-old-rock heater). While we came to conclusion that an infrared system might not be the best for my situation, he was nonetheless very helpful in helping me think through the options.

I spent months researching every red light infrared sauna, but the “distance problem”always bugged me. Most brands hang panels on the wall where the light is too far to be effective. SaunaCloud puts the LEDs right in the bench and backrest, keeping the light within the 2–6 inch therapeutic range for my back and hamstrings.

I’ve used it daily for 6 months—the heaters hit the 150°F max perfectly, and my Oura ring shows a massive jump in deep sleep. I’ve had my Saunacloud custom infrared sauna for about six months and use it almost daily for lower back pain. Best decision I’ve made.
The heaters reach temp in about 15 minutes, compared to my friend’s Sunlighten that takes 30 minutes. Wow, Chris was so helpful in narrowing down the best options and how to design the proper sauna for my wife and I. From my research, SaunaCloud had the most reliable components, best construction and could back up all their claims with science. Read about “Red Light Therapy” on their website, puts most other sauna companies to shame! I am so excited to get started on my new sauna and am confident that I am now making the best choice. They’re not cheap but you get what you pay for!

After months of researching custom infrared saunas, I was so frustrated. Every company said the same thing "we're the best!" ... but nobody backed it up with actual data. Then I talked to Chris at Saunacloud. He actually sent me EMF test reports and explained why his red light setup works better (LEDs are 2-4 inches away vs. mounted on the wall). He even told me I didn't need certain upgrades I was considering. That sold me right there. Six months in, my custom infrared sauna has been amazing for my sleep and recovery. Finally found someone who cares about science over sales pitch.
