US$7,500 paid. Three booked calls. No attendees. No speaking engagements. A deeply disappointing and expensive experience.
I engaged BlackSky Digital after receiving marketing that advertised “90+ pre-qualified prospects in 30 days” and “if we don’t deliver, you don’t pay.” That is what attracted me to their service. I feel badly misled by the gap between that message and what I ultimately received.
From the beginning, I explained that I needed speaking engagements around my October trip to the United States. They acknowledge knowing that deadline. I signed on 22 June, but the campaign did not launch until 18 August—57 days later.
BlackSky attributes 37 of those days to steps waiting on me. I accept that I had responsibilities in the process, but I question treating all time spent completing questionnaires, reviewing scripts and providing approvals as client delay. These were necessary parts of the service they sold me.
Advertising then stopped for six days in September before their team notified me. They have acknowledged that they should have picked this up sooner.
They did produce scripts, videos and a funnel. However, after paying US$7,500 in agency fees, the outcome for my business was three booked calls, none attended, and no speaking bookings.
When I requested a refund, they said the advertised guarantee did not apply to the service I purchased and relied on the contract’s no-guaranteed-results and final-payment terms. They have refused any refund.
I am accepting this as a very bad investment, but I want others to understand my experience before committing their money. Get every advertised promise, guarantee, launch timeframe and exclusion clearly confirmed in writing.
I feel let down by the sales process, the delivery timeline and the handling of my complaint. Based on my experience, I would never use BlackSky Digital again and cannot recommend them.

Hi Theo, we're sorry the campaign did not bring you the results you wanted.
Your campaign was a four-month project, paid monthly for our team's work that month. You were with us for three months. A build usually takes around three weeks, but yours took 57 days. Our own work took 20 of those days. The other 37 were spent on steps on your side, such as 8 days to book the onboarding call and 6 days to sign off the script. The steps were part of the service, but how long they took depended on you.
The campaign went live on 18 August. To improve it, we needed you to tell us what happened on the calls we booked for you. After the first weekly review call, you missed the next one on 3 September and didn't book another, even when we followed up. So we had no way of knowing. From 9 to 15 September, Meta paused the ads because of a payment issue with your card, which only you could resolve. On 19 September, after only three weeks of live ads with a brand-new offer, you chose to stop. That is far too early to test and improve a new campaign.
In line with the agreement, we cancelled all further payments and handed everything over to you: your offer positioning, video and ad scripts, edited video, all the finished ads, and the designs and copy for your three funnel pages. Everything we built is yours, so you can continue to run it yourself.
All terms were in the written agreement you read and signed, and we delivered every service in it. Our "90 calls in 30 days" offer is a separate service with a much larger ad budget. We built your campaign around your budget and goals.
When you asked to stop, we sent you a full breakdown by email, with call transcripts and a dated log of all the work delivered. We wish you all the best.
