Schaeffer's has enabled me to enter the world of options trading, something I have been wanting to do for a long time. With the help of Schaeffer's trade commentary and clear order entry instructions, I am able to place and close out trades with confidence. I appreciate having my personal representative, Ryan Bianchi, who takes care to answer my questions and helps tailor the services to fit my needs.

I subscribed to an option service for $100. I was fine with it. Then the company called and upsold me to another service for $1000 with credit for my $100 but canceled the first account. I was at work at didn't have time to talk but the the rep was pushy and kept trying to keep me on the phone. I'm polite so I listened even though I had told him I was busy at work. But he didn't seem to care. I didn't want the new service, but he convinced me to try it then I could cancel if I didn't like it. Well my wife wasn't happy with me, so I called to cancel. Apparently, I am committed until March, then if I want a refund I only get 75% of my money back. So I lost the first subscription that I was happy with because of a pushy sales rep. Now I don't have that service anymore and I have to wait three months to get 75% of my money back while I have to pay interest on my credit card in the meantime. I won't be using Schaeffer anymore. They have been fine in the past, but this left a bitter taste in my mouth. As I finish writing this, the rep calls me. He asked what was going on an said I explained that my wife was upset. He said "she is mad about $995"? Like it was nothing. No apology offered. Very classy.

I did not have the time during the Fall to work on learning and placing options, although I may try again after the New Year.

They market a great promise, and the moment you sign up they start upselling you. The emails promise the same things you were silly enough to sign up for but are now only available if you pay much more for the additional services. And the emails are endless, often several a day.

10 Dec 2024: I left the one star review around the middle of the day on 9 Dec. Later in the evening while I was on another call, they called my cell phone but didn't leave a message. the review I left is accurate. That is why their cumulative review is around 3 stars. Then the answer they left me on Trust Pilot is such a canned response. They do not address the upselling to get the info they promised at the entry level.

It is simple: they gave a sales pitch, I bought their product, then they offered additional services at much more of an expense so that they could deliver the promised service that I paid for in the first place. When I called on the 9th to cancel my subscription and ask them to delete my billing information, the 'operator' I spoke to said he didn't need to do anything, that I only had a 2 year subscription with no renewal. Now that they tried to spin my review I will call again later in the morning of 10 Dec and make sure they delete my info, not just tell me everything is OK.

Schafer - you sent me an email reply and answered my rating here on Trust Pilot. but since you called me back you have all my information and don't meed more. please stop jobbing me. My review stands, and since you called my cell, you can find my account and delet all my information and my account.

When I was ready to trade, I called and asked for someone that would "hold my hand" at the beginning, because I had no knowledge about options. Luckily, I was connected to John Voss. He was so patient and friendly, answering all my questions. This gave me the feeling that he really cared about me. I told him that the next time I call, I want to be connected to him and no one else. Thanks, John.

Ben Dolan and David at Schaeffer's Research were so very helpful to me. In my first Options Under $5 trade, my $335.00 trade brought me a $187.00 profit in just one day! Ben helped me through the Buy to Open yesterday and Sell to Close today with my Schwab account. I wouldn't have known how to do it without their help. This was almost a 56% profit in only one day.
