The instructor is very knowledgeable, and the reading and video materials are carefully structured. Additionally, the calendar is a great tool for time management, while the QBank is helpful for monitoring learning progress.

The combination of written content, flashcards, videos, mini tests, longer more customisable tests plus mocks provided made it a great choice for the comprehensive support. The CFA is a beast so nothing can make it ‘easy’ but with Kaplan it certainly made it digestible over a long period of time via the study schedule

Concise material saved me a lot of time during prep and helped me in continuing with a very demanding job on the side. The exam oriented focus of the material was really appreciated - understanding where not to spend too much time was critical for time-bound prep.

Mock exams and customised exams options.

Overall the experience was very good! Really found the mock exams challenging and useful. I truly like the fact that you have a video to watch the explanation of a response for deeper understanding. The content was great (mocks) and felt very well prepared on the exam.
The only opportunity for improvement was on the payment section. I wasn’t able to pay for the product with credit card and ended up paying via wire transfer. But even with that i got very good support and follow up. Also on the essay questions, maybe there could be an essay practice session to learn the best practices and tips to better tackle them.

I highly recommend the Kaplan Schweser CFA Level I preparatory course. The instructors are world class, top notch and the Q-Bank has hundreds of questions with immediate grading, including some with short videos. The custom calendar that is constantly updated according to progress really helps one keep on track. Again, highly recommended!

Great content. Very organized and intuitive LES. Videos and review questions are very helpful in quick recall. Some of the videos on topics like derivatives, equity and ethics leave room for improvement.

Core material is fine would give 3 stars if I'd only gotten that.

But I paid extra premium package+ the audio and I am very very disappointed with dollars and time wasted on these materials.

My problem was the extra review workshop that was part of the premium package. This was part of the premium package. It was extra video reviews with the instructors and you go through all sections plus some practice questions. Got absolutely nothing out of it other than a mental breakdown when in one section the instructor kept telling me what an easy question I just answered incorrectly was. In retrospect my time would have been better spent just grinding out the qbank.

Again, the core material is fine 3/5 stars. Wish I hadn't sprung for the extra materials cause that is what really ruined the experience for me.

besides you have one instructor for major classes who is boring with no value added

Used Kaplan from L1 to L3. Unfortunately the quality has dropped a lot as I have progressed through the levels. No longer providing video lectures is a big issue and for L3 there is one instructor that just reads from slides or reads solutions verbatim so some video explanations add 0 value. Hope Kaplan can improve for the future but not sure I would suggest them to my friends anymore.

I was ultimately misled by the brand name and made the mistake of purchasing their premium package. I should have listened to the dozens of warnings on r/CFA. Their customer service is effectively nonexistent, shipping routinely takes weeks (even when you pay extra for overnight shipping) and the content is extremely expensive for what you receive. I was also misled by the “pass protection” offering, which they do not meaningfully honor despite marketing it as a commitment. At this point, I am reviewing the terms and conditions in detail and exploring potential legal remedies. There’s so many providers, just avoid Kaplan!

Super helpful in learning new topics and having the question banks really helped me gain a better understanding of all the topics in CFA Level 1.
