I'm not an official student but I watch neuroscience lectures on YouTube posted by their staff which I am extremely grateful for. It keeps my mind stimulated and as a neuro diverse person it has guided me to my new obsession of functional medicine including functional neuroscience and normal medicine. It blows me away, there's so much to know and so many different tests that can be taken that result in a thorough understanding of how your specific body works, how your amino acids are used. Not just amino acid tests but heaps of different DNA tests, fMRI, resonance imaging, microbiome etc. I'm inspired to know it all thanks to MIT if anyone knows other people who are highly functioning autistic people then they'll know how obsessed people with my brain chemistry get when they have a passion for something. Thanks heaps MIT I'm grateful that you are kind enough and thoughtful enough to give me free lectures

This website declined heavily and is now focused on training AI and memberships targeted towards children, who are there to learn.. not purchase and be fed AI slop.

So good! The only down part is the "Student Account". MIT, do me a favour of changing the whole student acount thingy, ok?
I used to love Scratch (keyword used)
I used to love Scratch (keyword used). Since then it's gone way downhill. First, I'd like to talk about the 'Explore' page. It's so broken and only looks for tags and likes. Everyone spams tags just so they can get in it. Other coders have made a better explore page, so why can't this company with about 8.77 MILLION DOLLARS of revenue? Second, they now decided it would be a great idea to add a membership, like little johnny who wants to make pizza platformer on his iPad has enough money for that. In the end, if you still enjoy the simplicity of Scratch, use PenguinMod (google it). It's a mod of Scratch with MUCH better featured projects, along with it being powerful and more fun overall. Trust me, you'll LOVE it.
Pile of frauds nosediving into AI and exploding
Fraud support. Namesnipe account banned for 3 months so far for "impersonation". 3 Contact Us tickets, ~10 emails and 2 forum posts over the course of 3 months - and not a single response. All they said was "Your Scratch account has been permanently blocked and deleted for impersonation." and accused us as if we did something wrong. Not only did they do this with the namesnipe account, they also did it with one of our main accounts; that ban was based on an assumption that it was shared with zero supporting evidence. By the way - they also just authorised themselves to exploit the creative output of an entire community of kids, teens and adults of over 100 million people globally to train an AI.
fun block script site
I make fun game with block system and sprites :)
Sign up is easy, sprite making is fun, and being able to gain a following on a game making site, in the browser is fun, I do many ideas, and my ideas don't get finished, but making the project is the fun part
WHYYYYYYY??? ........
Kind of good, but it takes too long to sign in, plus I didn't do anything wrong and when I clicked on 'Need Help' and it said I was banned. Like what? I didn't do anything wrong, plus I have scratch cookies and it can't sign me in. Now I can't even do my shadow project, which I almost finished!
Terrible moderation and community, do not recommend socializing. (Old experience, couldnt type the date in)
Annoying Moderators not accepting my appeal even tho the only thing i did was get banned for ironically giving someone my password, and then i used my alt account to type up on my main account that i got banned due to horrible moderation and then i got perma banned without appeal on the site itself because i was "bypassing" the site itself is very good but it doesn't make up for all the woke shit and stolen stuff on the platform, also the moderators are gooners and don't take their job seriously, 10/10 platform but 0/10 social features and moderation.
I am sorry
I am sorry, but we are not there yet. scratch was supposed to be a better website, but it has became bad. i suppose you should update the rules this time.
Neutral
It’s a great platform, the users are all kind and friendly, but the ‘bad word filter’ is kind of bugged… I had to move a version log in my game inside the project because of a weird malfunction.
There are also impersonators (a recent one being theveryrealteacher3), and they don’t take too long to be fixed (Looking at YOU, Roblox), but it’s long enough for many people to be wrongly banned.
When you DO raise awareness about them, Scratch Team forces you to sit back down. They tell you to report, but how? How do I do that if every one of their projects are unshared? The report feature on their profile doesn’t have any categories that fit what they do.
Really though, it’s a good platform.
Scratch.mit.edu: Banned by a Birthday Card
Scratch.mit.edu is the only website where you can get banned for being too innocent.
I made an account, spent two hours coding my first project, and then I get a message from the Scratch Team saying:
🎉 “You can post again!” like it’s my birthday or something.
Five minutes later? Account terminated.
I didn’t even reply just read it.
Scratch moderation be like: “He opened the message. Get him.”
Meanwhile, the site keeps the cringiest stuff alive wolf roleplays, “gacha trauma OCs,” and 3-frame “animations” with 12,000 likes.
They’ll ban you for saying “lol,” but let someone post ‘Among Us Love Story Part 14’ and call it “featured content.”
Scratch.mit.edu isn’t a coding site anymore it’s a kindergarten with a block editor and a ban hammer.
I LAV THIS!!!
At school, I got given a laptop to use scratch and its so fun to mess around!!!!

they don't ban actual bad people
they don't ban actual bad people. they just ban people for no reason like its a game.
Crappy Moderation
not great
Scratch is a website where kids can make fun projects and share them with others in a safe place, right? Wrong. Scratch's moderation system is absolutely horrendous. Some stuff slips through that filter like butter and kids are seeing some disgusting content! Plus, their moderator team is pathetically understaffed.
