Not often does a purchase result in receiving much more than was expected but that was certainly the case with Scribendi. The critique and review was lengthy, detailed, and offered suggestions that improved the book immeasurably. The work was done very quickly. I couldn't be more pleased.

I recently send my paper to Scribendi for proofreading. Part of my paper was not supposed be reviewed, but I forgot to remove it from the paper and they were considered in word counting. I did not notice it and paid for the full paper. But, people in Scribendi noticed it and paid me back the extra cost.

Absolutely disappointed with the lack of professionalism in the academic texts provided by Scribendi (scribendi.com). Encountered several instances of past tense misuse, a gross violation of academic writing norms.

Horrible experience! I submitted a journal manuscript for expedited review a week ago. As agreed upon, the edits were returned within 72 hrs. However, the reviews were awful! It felt like some software had edited the manuscript, and a human had entered the comments. Several edits were irrelevant and in many cases, changed the meaning of the sentence completely. It is now taking me longer to fix the inaccurate edits. I am not coming back to Scibendi again, and telling all my colleagues and co-authors never to use their services. I am not sure why they have so many positive reviews. Perhaps, Scibendi is good for copy-editing other manuscript types. This website is NOT recommended for getting journal articles copy-edited!

I am a professional freelance writer, with several published novels. I use Scribendi to completely review and make editorial changes before I submit my manuscripts. The service is excellent! I would highly recommend them to both aspiring and professional writers. Getting published has become extremely difficult. A writer needs to have an advantage when submitting a manuscript. Scribendi is that advantage, and at the lowest rates available.

My books underwent seven rounds of proofreading, and each time, a new set of errors was discovered. After making them aware of the issue, it was noticed that many of the errors went unacknowledged, and even when they acknowledged wrongdoing, no steps were taken towards rectification. While I may tolerate an occasional error from Scribendi, I expect flawless work when I enlist the services of a company.

Noticeable errors :
Commas placed incorrectly
They thought it was better to say "laying down" instead of "lying down."
I hired a new proofreader from scribendi to check my books for mistakes I paid him to proofread my books three times. Unfortunately, he found mistakes in his own work, which shows he is not good at his job.
I noticed that a letter intended to be in lowercase was mistakenly written in uppercase.
The claim was made that the use of sentence fragments is appropriate, as asserted by Scribendi, despite my disagreement with this viewpoint.
Due to the unwillingness of the person in charge of error checking, the duty of fixing mistakes fell entirely on me.
Although I had high expectations for Scribendi's performance, they exceeded that of Fiverr. However, the fact that an entire company disappointed me is extremely frustrating.
I received full repayment for all my orders.
