Scam and waste of time

Sent a immaculate like almost brand new s24 ULTRA they said they will pay £466 then once received they tried doing the same thing with other customer have said on the review they said my microphone was not working they can offer £260 I got so angry on the phone gave them a earful I have written an email to trading standards and I have written to compare and recycle

Sent off a Samsung S24 ultra in perfect condition. Was quoted £500 before sending.

When they receive it, they claim there’s an issue with the microphone (there was never an issue before sending as I had this phone checked before sending), and have quoted me £300.

When they sent the inspection report to me, none of the details matched up to the phone I sent them (the IMEI number was wrong, the colour was wrong, and storage capacity was wrong). When bringing this up, they apologised and said they’d messed up, but there was still apparently a problem with the microphone.

Also, the phone & inspection report were both checked over by a ‘team leader’, and somehow they didn’t realise it was the wrong phone either???

To make matters worse, they charge £10 to return the phone to you.

Scammers! I would avoid at all costs!

**UPDATE - The company noticed my bad review and decided to offer the full rate that was quoted online. Then after agreeing to this resolution, they proceeded to ask me to remove my review. I told them I’d amend it accordingly, not remove, once the payment had cleared in my account. I had been at work all day & hadn’t noticed the payment had cleared, and I had been messaged AGAIN to remove the review. Only updated to 2 stars due to being paid what was originally offered.**

I was looking at selling my Samsung galaxy s24 ultra and stumbled across this company on price comparison as they were offering the most money. I looked at the description and noticed that they were based in Preston ( where I live). Why post the phone when I can just go to the shop? So I did! I was quoted £460 on the website so I thought that id let the guy see my phone and then offer me the quote on the website. The phone is in near perfect condition and I got offered £300. I refused the offer and told him about the quote offered online and he just came out with some gibberish about warranty and stuff. Im glad I didn't get caught out by this company as I wouldn't trust them at all and I wouldn't recommend that you do either or they'll no doubt con you.

“Steer clear of these guys. They’ll waste your time and your money. Dropping the offer from £480 to £240, a straight 50% cut is ridiculous. Other buyers are paying £350+ even for a broken phone. I’d genuinely rather give the phone away than accept a deal that feels like a deliberate rip-off

Terrible service - changed price from £424 to £160 claiming condition of the phone, made up lies about the condition and when challenged on this, they couldn’t answer. The phone was in great condition when sent in with only a couple of small scuffs on the outer case, they are simply trying to get more money out of you. I returned the phone to me and would definitely not recommend.

Offered value far lower than quoted, waste of time. They send a video showing that the phone is in perfect condition with no marks to screen and no damage but very slight signs of use around the edge, condition from "good" -> "pretty good" updated price lowered by £120.

Worst company to deal with. Warning they won’t give you what they quote you for the phone, more half the value and come up with fabricated story’s that there is problems with the phone (battery, speaker etc). I was almost to the point of calling trading standards. Stay well clear

SCAM.
I was offered £250 for my iPhone 14pro (following testing) through my phone companies recycling scheme, but I had a look online and saw this company were offering £460. So I decided there was no harm in trying that first.
I sent the phone off using the prepaid pack which arrived quickly. Sent it on Wednesday morning and heard nothing for several days (even though their website suggests same day testing) and eventually the next week I got a WhatsApp message offering £100. The reasoning they gave was ridiculous, they stated scratches on the screen (which there wasn’t, I have several photos from before I sent it showing there are zero scratches). When I raised this, they replied saying scratches “may have been hard for me to see in the dark”… because apparently I live in complete darkness? I even suggested if they increased the offer to £175 then they could have the phone as it was easier for me. But they said they could only offer £130. For a decrease of £330 from the original offer for a phone that has never had any issues until they decided to make them up, that were not present in previous testing I had, I was upset.
I asked them to return the phone to me and they gave me bank details saying I had to pay them £10 if I wanted my phone back. When compare and recycle told me specifically that returns were free if I was unhappy with the price. When I told them this they said it’s only free if I create an order with them. Why would I need the phone returning if I did an order with them?
I’ve realised since sending my phone to them that almost all of their positive reviews come from people who have not reviewed anywhere else, so are likely fake. Please please PLEASE do not waste your time and send your devices to these scam artists.

DO NOT go near them!! Sent a nearly new phone quoted £500 - they said it was covered in scratches which it wasn't. i took a video before i sent it to them, it was in perfect condition. Offered £230.

Sent my iPhone 14 Pro Max with a few light scratches on to sellyourfone. After receiving a message with a list of problems and a below half the original price offered, I asked them to send back my phone. They said they would talk to their manager for a ‘better’ price but told me the ‘housing’ of my phone was very bad even though I had just had the back of my phone replaced. They were very difficult to contact on WhatsApp and their website.
They came back next day saying they would offer me £10 more than the price and that I wouldn’t get a better price elsewhere.. funnily enough I’ve just sold my phone to another company for a lot more money who said there were no issues with my device other than the light scratches. Avoid.. avoid.. AVOID!

Sellyourfone gave a good price for the phone, and the procedure was very easy and straightforward. Sellyourfone is convenient for both the buyer and the seller.
