We've sent Send-a-Meal for gifts a dozen or so times now-- always a hit! We've had a few ourselves as well; they are well packaged, easy to heat and delicious!
This is our go-to for get wells, condolences, births- those times when folks could use a night off of dinner prep.
In all of those dozen or so orders, only had one issue, and customer service handled it via email in less than an hour. Excellent customer service!!
My only critique is that there isn't a vegetarian option or 2 in the gift "occasions menu," but that isn't enough to impact a 5-star review.

Delivery was good. Food was yummy!

My cousin was very impressed with delivery and FOOD. The chicken pot pie was thawed when she received so she had to call to have replaced. But replaced with out question and the food was great!

Ordering was simple, I was skeptical as I was sending this to my ill grandparents in another state and the price is a bit high, but everything came as promised and intact if the food taste delicious we will be using the service again very soon.

Easy to order. Delivered quickly. Portions were large.

So far every family member and friend I have purchased food for or sent a gift certificate have loved the food!

They came right on time. I sent to my friend who's wife had surgery.
He called me thrilled at the "comfort food" that arrived. It felt so good to know I was at least helping relieve stress in some small way with a warm and hopefully tasty meal that reminded them of home cooking. Although I do not know how it tasted - I plan to ask - I recommend this service!

This is the second time we have used this company and ordering is quick and easy and those receiving the gifts have been very pleased!

I live in TX but originally from NJ. My Mom has battled cancer for over 15 years, but as of this writing, cancer is taking over. My Dad and sister are there taking care of her until the end. Due to COVID-19 I am unable to travel there. But I wanted to send a meal. I saw this Send A Meal it was very easy to send the meal. I can not tell if my sister scheduled meal delivery yet, but on my end it was very easy to send the meal. I am happy with this innovative concept.

Excellent customer service. Excellent gourmet meals. Shiped fast and arrived frozen.

We received 2 large boxes, as a gift, and the dry ice in both boxes was completely evaporated. The food was still cold but most was completely thawed. The food was actually shipped from a third party so I feel like the error was on that end or Fed Ex. I reported to Send a Meal and they replaced the dessert that had melted and leaked out and credited the gift giver the cost of shipping.

I ordered a chicken pot pie as a gift. According to the feedback I got it was delicious. It arrived as promised.

I ordered the original marinated ribs and smashed red potatoes for my parents for their 51st wedding anniversary, and they loved it! They were able to enjoy them over several meals because there was so much food. Thanks for making me look like a thoughtful daughter! The only issue was the high sodium in the mashed potatoes.

ordered 2 stroganoff and 1 empanada, rec'd 2 empanada and only 1 stroganoff.
otherwise shipping was good

I was very pleased with my order. I sent it to my son & his wife for their anniversary. He said it was very good and they had plenty to eat.
