The problem begins when they count in all emails, including deleted ones. So let's say you have a spam attack of 1,000 emails; you need to pay for it for the rest of your life account, even if you deleted the emails. That's a complete rip-off....
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Cancelled our subscription without any explanation. We are a reputable business operating for several years in the tech space. No avenue to appeal. What a waste of time.
Use FastMail instead, better performance and they know how to treat their potential customers well.

Opened a gate to phishing scammers
I created a free Sendgrid account for a test project. Ever since that, I am receiving a ton of Phishing emails that claim to be from Sendgrid.
Someone is clearly breaking through to their customer database.
Tried to deleting the account, and there's no option to delete the account.
Writing this review here, hoping someone from the company will see this and help.
Cancelling is a nightmare
Just a heads up for anybody thinking about setting up Sendgrid, it is an utter nightmare trying to close your account.
The support page does not load on sendgrid. There is no option to delete your account on either twilio or sendgrid. I had to create an account on twilio just so that I can request to have my account deleted.
I do not have access to the chat or phone support options as I do not have a high enough tier paid plan with Twilio.
Just fair warning to anybody considering Sendgrid.
All customers offline and not a word from support in 5 days
After a phishing attacked compromised our account we were immediately suspended. Within hours, we corrected the API keys and removed accounts and set us back to normal.
We were given a support ticket to send correction advice to which is the ONLY mechanism we have at our disposal to resolve the problem. We updated the support ticket with our findings and changes immediately and multiple times.
We are now 5 days with an account suspension and our software communications does not function. Our customers are livid and have been down since Friday.
Despite multiple calls tickets and updates we have not heard one word from SendGrid support! NOT ONE COMMUNICATION.
I started a live chat and the person said all they can do is escalate but not help and closed the ticket.
I found a number to call and was kinda able to leave a message (although it cut me off) some time later I did get a call back with some "Middle man" (their own words) that said all they could do is escalate. I tried asking some targeted questions to get to a resolution and the support agent was getting upset. The stated that "i didn't want to solve the problem" because i kept asking questions and demanding resolution.
All this person said they could do is escalate te ticket. he was a condescending jerk that had no intention of helping me.

Support was more the useless. They explained very clearly that they are sorry about the bad experience but only offer upsell options as solutions. They do not actually care that the service is useless.

Terrible company with zero customer support. Frequently loses account data, unable to remove my debit card from the platform, and they keep trying to charge me despite me not using the service.

After having all my clients' email down for days, and getting support that often times took 1-2 days for a response back, I decided to move to a different service and I'm never looking back. This is the worst customer support I have experienced in 30 years. I am now using FastComet and I couldn't be happier.

Sales support is appaling and slow
Sales support is appaling. They impose punative overage charges and I tried to upgrade my account to avoid this - but a month later I still don't have the upgrade in place and I was charged 300% overage for December and am now at the end of the Jan send limit with two weeks to go and still no account upgrade. They don't tell you about hidden changes to your terms when they upgrade you and these onlyb appear in the contract small print (they move you to an annual contract you can only cancel at 30 days notice once a year - a massive change from the normal the online account which is monthly) and a huge committment. Sales team are uncommunicationed, slow and make endless mistakes - really liked the actual service but massively dissillusioned with their commerial and sales practices. I got one email at 18.20 - which announced I had to sign the contract that day (I'd already finished work and only read it the following day) Then they said that the could not refund the extra charges because it was past the 15th ot the month and we'd not upgraded the contract - but this was entirely because of their slow response times as I first contacted them to upgrade on the 18th of the previous month! Incredibly poor experience given I am trying to give the a lot more money.

The service has deteriorated significantly.
- They started charging for services that were previously free.
- They changed the login method.
- They send receipts to an old email address even though I changed it.
- The login system offers "Remember device for 30 days," but they ask for 2FA every time I log in.
- They don't offer any real technical support. It's all a waste of time with no solutions.
