I was one of the organizers and I proposed to invite Jernej featuring his live training with Seyens method at my institution (University in Italy). The experience did not disappoint and I got through the training being engaged, working a lot, and leaving both the online training and the classroom with some every useful principles and actionable suggestions that I'll be operationalizing starting today.
Would definitely recommend if you are a scientist working in either academia or the private sector.

I really enjoyed both this workshop and the preliminary, autonomous preparation. I got interesting and useful insights about how to design my slides and images to comunicate effectively.
Most of the PhD courses I have attended were not able to keep me focused but I found this workshop really engaging.

Very well designed course on Effective Visual Communication of Science consisting of online pre-work and live hands-on workshop. I really like the concept of online pre-work because it made me prepared for the hands-on workshop. Now it will be much easier for me to design visually appealing and understandable figures, slides and posters.

Very useful and nicely designed course, useful from multiple points of view. it is nice to have suggestions and frameworks on how to produce better designs and how to communicate one's message, but also an opportunity to consider the counterpart's (so your audience's) background, interests and expectations.

I really liked the coursework, I found a lot of useful tactics that I can use for my slides which aren’t that difficult either. The workshop was also great, very interactive, and customized feedback for our figures and slides.

Great watch and experience

I found the course content really valuable. It not only offers a general framework on how to think about visual communication in science, but also provides a lot of very concrete small practical tips. Being able to watch the course on the online platform is great, as it offers a lot of flexibility. The live session was also very valuable and interactive, even though it was online.

Jernej has a wonderful and clear way of expressing concepts. The whole seminar was carefully planned out and well organized. Working through the videos before the live workshop was a lot of work but very rewarding. I learned so much and have gained a lot of confidence in my figure making. The psychological perspectives were my favorite insight:) Will definitely recommend to my peers

The workshop format was amazing since we had plenty of hands-on experience. It was also great to have the instructor giving feedback on our submissions and giving concrete suggestions on how to improve them.

I learned that there are clear rules how to design a figure very well and that everbody can learn these rules.

Very clear, cohesive and concise course. I have neither been blessed with any sense of symmetry nor with appropriate design skills which allow people to understand how to select fonts or colours. Instead, Dr. Jernej Zupanc helped me out throughout the course. It is nice to have a necessary toolkit so that people won't be repulsed by my presentations before even focusing on the content.
