The CGE team has been amazing to work with! At the start, we had no idea how to create a YouTube channel, how to make videos, how to create titles / thumbnails - really all things YouTube. The team helped us lock in our niche, develop a process for creating videos, and optimize titles / thumbnails. We went from posting videos with 2 views to videos with hundreds. We are still learning everyday, but have the guidance and support from CGE to make what we're doing meaningful and effective!

We started our journey with Content Generation Engine as our first real foray into professional coaching and advisement for our channel.

Our channel has been around since 2016, and while we had some success, around 20k followers from a mix of produced and self filmed content, we did not fully understand why some things were working and some things were not.

When we started with CGE we were only earning around 20 dollars a month in AdSense revenue. In September 2025 we joined CGE while entering a new era for our channel, and since then our channel has grown to 63 ,000 subscribers and consistently earns in the four digits monthly through AdSense. We are now also regularly working with brands and sponsored content as part of our work and income, due in no small part to the tireless work from our coaches.

Our coaches were often experienced YouTubers themselves with successful channels, and those who were not had backgrounds in graphic design and working behind the scenes of successful channels and businesses.

They helped us with tactics like titles, video timing, subjects, niche direction, thumbnails, hashtags, and every little detail that goes into making a successful channel.

The coaches gave us a tremendous amount of attention whenever we made appointments with them, along with the 3 to 4 live group calls that covered the strategic side of running a channel connected to a business. We were also able to learn alongside other creators at different stages of their channel, brand, and business journeys.

The coaches genuinely cared about our success and channel growth. They were cheering for us and rooting for us the entire time. They gave us personal attention, not flattery, and that helped push us forward as a brand, business, and channel.

I had been thinking about starting a YOU TUBE channel for some time and came across a lot of people promoting their You Tube Course. Luckily, one of them was Shane Hummus. I thought Shane was very genuine and his recommendations made a lot of sense to me. After meeting up with Lucas (one of their sales guys) several times I decided to go ahead. From the very first day I joined the online program I was impressed. The amount of content and learning videos is very comprehensive. I’m now almost 3 months into the program. The weekly coaching sessions with Jimmy have helped me understand the whole process much better and kept me accountable week to week. Jimmy has a wealth of experience not just YOU TUBE but also how to set up the offers – who to set up landing pages and all the nuts and bolts in between. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is considering it. It has been a massive game changer for me!!

CGE helped me go from having very little practical YouTube experience to understanding the bigger picture of how a channel actually grows. I started from zero, and the program gave me structure around video ideas, packaging, scripting, basically the overall process of managing a channel with more intention. It also helped me think beyond just “making videos” to seeing YouTube as a business.

One of the more valuable parts was learning how to think about the offers I’ll eventually sell once I build my audience. CGE helped me understand that the channel is not just about views or monetization, but about building trust, attracting the right people, and creating a path toward products or services that can serve that audience. I’m still working toward monetization, but I feel much more prepared than I did before joining.

I enjoyed working with my advisor as well, Adryan Nopre. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, and especially helpful when it came to understanding the Holy Trifecta process: how to get people to click and keep watching. Having someone who could give feedback on those details made the process actionable for sure.

I also gained an understanding of how to eventually automate and/or outsource parts of the content creation process when I get to that point. As a newbie, it was helpful to see how the full system can work: idea research, packaging, scripting, production, editing, and scaling over time. That made the whole YouTube journey feel less random and much more achievable.

I also appreciated that much of the course material was shared through Google Drive, where we could copy the docs into our own drives for later reference. There is a lot to absorb, especially when you’re starting from zero, so being able to revisit those materials as I keep improving is a major benefit. The value does not disappear when the coaching period ends; it gives you a foundation you can keep building on.

One wish-list was that the program would last a little longer -- or at least to keep access to their Skool community for a while. Still, six months seems like a long time...but it goes so fast. Again, thanks CGE!

Really 3.5 stars, and maybe even 4 after a recent meeting with one of the coaches, Murray. Overall, the method that is taught and the assignments given are very effective and do help to grow your channel - I went from under 500 subscribers to almost 1,500 during my six months in the program. However, what I expected to receive - more one-on-one support, was not my experience, and that is the reason for the 3 starts. But going forward, I hear the program is moving more toward that one-on-one support, which is great. It is worth the investment if you truly want to use youtube to sell or position your business offerings and you take advantage of the one-on-one coaching meetings, as well the master classes and completion of assignments. And when/if something in the program is not working for you, I found that it was addressed promptly, which I appreciated. Good luck on your journey!

Solid knowledge from the whole Shane Hummus team. Can you learn some of it on your own? Sure. Would it take you YEARS instead of a couple months? Yes, it would, so it's totally worth the knowledge transfer from the team and the training modules. The best practices, helpful hints and hands-on, real-time evaluation you get from the team is invaluable while going through this process. I've been in SEO for well over a decade and Shane's team of advisors and coaches really helped me understand the nuance of YouTube's algorithm (which is significantly different from Google's algorithm, BTW). That knowledge gives you a forever understanding - not a quick trick to fool the algorithm in the short term. This is real, long-term knowledge that will help your channel and brand grow.

Before joining the CGE program, one of my biggest struggles was trying to figure out YouTube completely on my own. I had a lot of ideas, experience, and passion, but I struggled with clarity, consistency, packaging content correctly, and understanding what actually makes videos perform. I was constantly second-guessing titles, thumbnails, content direction, and how to scale the channel while balancing everything else in my business and personal life.

One of the biggest challenges specifically in the dog training space was figuring out how to separate myself from the thousands of other dog training channels online. I didn’t just want views. I wanted to build a channel that reflected my philosophy, personality, and coaching style while also attracting the right audience and clients into my business.

Instead of feeling like I was throwing random content into the void, I started understanding strategy, audience psychology, packaging, storytelling, and how to create content with more intention. More importantly, I now have a stronger understanding of how to position myself differently within my niche and use YouTube as a tool to grow both my audience and my business.

Before CGE, my aspiration was to build a YouTube channel that could genuinely grow a meaningful audience, support my business, and create long-term opportunities. The program helped turn YouTube from something that felt confusing and inconsistent into something that now feels intentional, scalable, and aligned with my larger vision.

I joined Content Growth Engine at the start of 2026. I wanted to launch a YouTube channel & build a business from it. I'd watched a bunch of Shane's videos & liked his style & valued his authority. I've been in the program now for over 4 months. I've found the training content to be thorough & highly helpful. The program maps out a clear path to monetization & provides lots of details on executing each step of the plan. It's also great to be part of supportive community of students who share a similar goal, as well as have a coaching team that's keeping me accountable. Shane did a reorg early in the year & hired some new coaches. Since then, I've been happy with the quality of 1-on-1 coaching I've received. Shout out to Jerome, Pat & Jimmy! The main thing I've accomplished so far is create & publish a couple dozen long videos, plus many shorts. Currently, I'm getting about a thousand views a day, which seems remarkable. I'm still working to refine the focus of the channel & its content. I don't feel like I've found my audience yet, but I'm getting closer every week. My main complaint about the program is that it lasts 6 months. If you're clear on your audience & content focus, 6 months is plenty of time to launch & grow a channel. But given that I was essentially starting from scratch, it feels like the time has sped by & I'm struggling to maintain a consistent publishing schedule, since I haven't locked in a consistent content strategy yet. Figuring out these bigger questions takes time. For many, like me, a lot of time. Ideally, the program would last at least a year. That being said, it's definitely provided a lot of value. It's confirmed my commitment to make this YouTube adventure work.

I had a great experience in the program and learned so much about the algorithm, what YouTube is looking for, and how to get my channel on the correct trajectory for growth. The CGE program also teaches you how to build a business from YouTube.

My story is a bit different than most. I’m in the media. Traditional media of radio and TV – that’s right, real broadcast TV and radio. Our online social media presence is reasonable and all organic but far from ‘huge.’ Our YT presence is weak because we never focused on it. Maybe once every couple of months we’d post something with little to no views thinking YT was a waste of time. Here’s where things change. Someone rear ended me in a car accident. I had bleeding in the brain and lost a lot of brain cells. I have 4 neurologists doing what they could for me and after a year I forced myself to go back to work full time. One of the doctors suggested I do something I’m not good at, something that would challenge my brain to work parts that I haven’t tapped into before. I’m not certain how Shane Hummus’ course landed on my computer but it did. It didn’t take me long to schedule an onboarding call. There wasn’t a hard sales pitch but instead an explanation of the process which was the key to sign up.

Since taking the course, I confidently can say it has challenged me to the good. I’ve never been busier writing scripts, filming, editing, making thumbnails, coming up with descriptions and all the elements needed to increase views. I still do most of what I do old school using my noggin. AI is tempting but it won’t stimulate my creative juices when it does all the work. Today, instead of getting one view that my mom found accidently I’ve had slow, steady growth with nearly 35K views for one of them. I still struggle from the brain trauma but this course is definitely helping me heal. And, if I get more subscribers, more views and monetary compensation follows for my efforts that’s the best part of my healing process.

Bottom line? Take the course. All of the instructors are pro’s in their field and they are there to help you succeed. And, in my case…heal.

The Content Growth Engine was chock full of information and ideas to help get my YouTube channel off the ground. I especially appreciated the videos, the coaches, and the other students. They were always so kind, helpful, and willing to give constructive criticism. The best coaches I liked very much were Adrian, who answered my call late in the evening and kindly walked me through a solution to whatever difficulty I was having at the time. I think Jimmy should also be commended for hand-holding me as I put my YouTube videos together. He was happy to walk with me step-by-step when I needed it.

I’ve been a lifelong course taker, and I can honestly say the amount of information Shane Hummus has put into Content Growth Engine is fantastic.
You can see the depth of his background and the level of detail he brings into the YouTube process. From the strategy, to the documents behind every video, to the amount of data and structure provided, the course itself was worth the price of admission.

I had never uploaded a video to youtube before this program and now I am able to upload 2 per week. Consistency is the key (once you have invested in a system that works)

I am completely new to the social media world. I didn't know about thumbnails, which way to video or anything. CGE is helping me with those things and so much more. I didn't realize how tech savvy one has to be to create an online business but CGE is showing me the way.

I do recommend this course if you are looking for accountability and structure when trying to launch a successful YouTube business. I am only a month and a half in and have had all my questions answered with support from my awesome coach Tina! There are plenty of resources at your fingertips alongside a community of educated/ like minded people.
